Growing up, I was told "go back to Mexico! We don't need you illegals here" (called that despite me being born here), but now it seems that everyone wants a taco. This is the place to come to for everything you need if doing your own tacos. We came here for some work trip grilling needs, and were more than impressed with the amount of produce and meat, as well as the customer service. The men in the meat department were very helpful with the selection of meats we got as well as selecting the right cheeses for grilling. The produce was very fresh and "authentic." The food court (which puts out some amazing dishes), sold their own salsa in handy containers. The ladies there were very friendly and professional. Great place to shop for authentic Mexican flavors. I was having a fajita grill fest at my casa and came here to get the ingredients that I needed. I was having a hard time looking for what I needed and didn't get any help from anyone. I know I'm a gringo but I still am paying. The cashier wasn't very happy to see me check out that's why 3 stars due to the unfriendly staff and no help from them. Otherwise the store is great for Mexican ingredients. It's a decent Latino grocery store. The fruits and veggies are one of many reasons I like to stop by this place. You'll find ingredients here that aren't in your typical grocery store. The little taco stand/restaurant located at the front of this grocery store is a huge draw from me. The food and drinks are excellent, and the Menudo on the weekends is great too. The staff can sometimes come off a bite rough, but for the most part this grocery store is still worth the visit. Prices aren't any better here than any other average grocery store. In fact on some items they may even be a tad bit more expensive, but if this is the only place that has that hard to find special ingredient, then I'm sure you won't mind dishing out the extra money. read more

Small, but clean Mexican type grocery store. They also have a cafe/restaurant area. They have a nice selection of grocery items that might be hard to find at an American grocery store. I do want to call out the meat section, which seems to be a full butcher counter, as it is amazing! The quality is good and the prices are even better. I love the pre marinated chicken thighs for quick fajitas at home. Lastly, I know I said it was clean, but that just doesn't cover the condition of this store... went looking for coconut water. sadly, there wasn't a big variety and wasn't able to find the brand i was looking for, HOWEVER i didn't wanna leave without trying a tamale. i had a pork tamale with a dr. pepper. total, it was $4. man, the tamale was incredible. the flavor, the juice, the grease all on point and the service was pleasant. glad i found a new place to grab a quick bite! they sell these tamales by the dozen and i wouldn't mind coming back for a bag. read more

The food is amazing. My boyfriend and I went there this week and he has never had Mexican food before. He loves it and is always asking to try out new things! Definitely going back as much as we can! I frequent this place for their produce, tortillas and fantastic bakery. The staff is always very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The produce is less expensive than other places and cinnamon rolls are fantastic! I love that they aren't heavy with icing or too bready', they are perfect. Oh yes, and their little cake loaves of vanilla cake (not sure what they are called) are out of this world served with some sliced strawberries on them. They freeze well to. 4 1/2 STARS: This Latin Supermarket has GUAVA, BABY GUATEMALAN BANANAS, RIPE PAPAYA, UNBLEACHED PURPLE GARLIC!!!!! This place carries a nice selection of herbs and spices for your Latin dinner night at home. Also, you can find a nice selection of Latin cheeses, candy, beverages and locally made tortillas! The Kitchen is delicious! For about $6 you can get a complete meal including rice and beans. I've complained about the lack of decent Mexican food around this city but this kitchen makes the the authentic stuff!!! The chile rellenos, tamales, roasted chicken and tacos rock! They also have the BEST guacamole infused tomatillo sauce I've ever had! And the prices are amazing!!! The downside: No place is perfect. 1) The market is nestled in a little bit of a sketchy neighborhood. But the freeway makes it so convenient to get to. I totally understand the fresh produce is imported from places closer to the equator so freshness and selection can be hit and miss but I'd love to see more in this department...if possible. Their deli makes good Mexican style foods & meals. But Friday i bought 1 1/2 doz. Of their tamales (pork). The tamales were dry and unfavorable. So what has changed, I ask myself? They shrewd the meat filling, the masa is cylindrical and wrapped with corn huskies. Please review your recipe and how you prepare the tamales . This is currently my favorite place to grab a quick taco and some amazing meats. The restaurant may seem a bit of a hole in the wall (because it is basically a hot bar in a grocery store) but the food is legit. The prices are nice and low which is great whether your appetite is big or small. The folks behind the counter are always great at suggesting new things to try. There is a deli inside this place with good tacos, tamales and chili rellinos . A small salsa bar has a lot of different stuff to add to your eat in or to go order. There are booths and a long bar area to sit and eat at. This is also a grocery store with some good prices on the produce that would typically be in Mexican food. I get all my avocados here as they almost always have a good supply of ripe and un-ripe ones. They sometimes have fresh garbanzo beans in the produce area which I want to try. read more

This is a combination ethnic Grocery store and cafe'. The food in the cafe' is very tasty, and authentic. The price is a great value. They serve Menudo, but only on Saturday and Sunday. The grocery store is packed with ethnic Mexican food. If you can't find what you need here, in the realm of Mexican ethnic food, they don't sell it in the states. The butcher shop area has many cuts of meat, that you wouldn't find in a normal American grocery store. It's also a great place to brush up on your Spanish, as for most of the employees, Spanish is their first language. read more

I like this store as I am able to get lots of vegetables at a cheaper price than the Walmart or elsewhere.But I do have a little grievance .I had bought a gallon of milk & some other vegetables 2days ago.I hadn't yet opened the milk since I bought.I called up the store twice around 2.10pm on 6/19/15 .....some lady spoke in Spanish & before I could even finish what I tried to say, she hung up & the 3rd time, I got lucky to get some one on the phone & I inquired if I could return it & a papaya?? The lady on the phone said yes.So I took the milk & the papaya to return.They just took the papaya & refunded the amount back to my credit card & refused to take back the milk.Nothing was wrong with the milk.I am traveling out of the country for 10 days so that was the only reason I wanted to return.I even requested if they could give/issue me a store credit so that I could come back to buy milk after I returned my trip .They completely refused and I asked them to let me speak to their manager and they said that they were just workers there & could not do anything.She told me to give away that milk to someone if I was not using it!!! How can they even suggest that !!! .I work 2 jobs to make ends meet !!! I was just requesting them to either refund me or give me a store credit...I am very disappointed at this particular customer service deal I faced with them yesterday.I ma not happy with the way this particular lady said stuffs to me....It can do better with more better communication !!! Otherwise this store is a good one....!!! If they had only told me that they didn't accept the milk back, it'd have saved me time , efforts and trouble bringing back and forth the gallon of milk.In the process, I was late for work....!!!!
