Daiso - Cat themed small cable ties and cord holders. Lots of cat stuff!

I finally visited this store because I used up all of my favorite kitchen sponges. This place is huge! The biggest I have ever been, and stocked full of everything! I buy kitchen sponges and reading glasses and many of snacks. Too bad that they raised prices from $1.50 to $2.25 (minimum) which I understand in this economy. They have so many good stuff and you would overbuy if you don't control yourself. Highly recommended.

We came in the day after grand opening & we were greeted as soon as we walked in. The lady who greeted us was very nice & gave us a heads up on how things work. Everything is priced in yen, the conversion to the US price is all on a chart to let you know how much things cost. The price charts are also on the end of most aisles to keep it as a refresher. A majority of things were around $2-8, no matter the category. Heading to the checkout aisle, I got to explore the snacks. I ended up with some Mild Salt Doritos, something you definitely wouldn't be able down here unless it's a novelty store, & even that's rare in a city like Tulsa. I tried some noodles that were packaged later that night that & I enjoyed it (Lemonilo Ramen - Chick'n Chow Mein). I also tried some açaí Hi-Chew candy. It's a store that we'd visit on the regular, the store traffic was high at the time & the wait in line for checkout wasn't long at all.

I was going back & forth between pastas like the Philly Cheesesteak Pasta & Vodka Pasta - I even eyeballed the Taco Soup for a moment (if it was a Tuesday... that would've been my excuse to get it). I went with the Meatloaf with Bacon Jam. I wish I could tell you the last time I've had meatloaf. It was really good. Went well with the mash potatoes. The Bacon Jam came through in every bite. There's the pickle hot sauce that I got & added to the green beans (it was the last bottle left). The add the cherry on top, we got the Churro Cheesecake (Caramel). There was another one with raspberry & I'm coming back for that one. The cheesecake was really good. The person who checked us out was super nice & very helpful. I want to check them out to see about their breakfast (they open at 10am on Saturdays).

I still stock up on bargains at Costco and Sam's but I enjoy the deli and bakery at Fresh Market. They are several notches above delis and bakeries at most groceries. The employees are super friendly. This week, I had to return something and was impressed with how easy and pleasant it is to do that. I bought a bag of rotten lemons. That can happen at any grocery store. The lemons were in a yellow bag and not easy to see and they hadn't started smelling yet. I was amazed at how quick and easy the return was and how friendly the employee handling the return was. Even though Fresh Market is a little pricey, they do have specials

With the mission to bring delicious prepared meals, exceptional quality meat and seafood, peak season produce, decadent baked goods, and fresh seasonal flowers, it certainly has succeeded its mission. The high quality and specialty products unfortunately also carry with it the higher price tags. The Fresh Market is among the most expensive of the high end markets. They have an Ultimate Loyalty Experience, but the cashier couldn't tell me the actual benefits. I think it's similar to Reasor's Rewards with weekly specials. They reportedly have the Tuesday specials (to be confirmed): ground chuck and boneless chicken breast for $2.99 per pound. They also have The Little Big Meal that rotates weekly. For those interested in cooking, they have many recipes on their websites which is unique. If you love the neatness and cleanliness of Reasor's then you are going to love The Fresh Market. I cruised through the store and was thoroughly impressed. Shelves and produce were neatly stocked. Deli products and meats looked really fresh. The quality was definitely there as well as the price tags. I am just not sure if I am the target audience of The Fresh Market, definitely gearing more toward affluent people.
