And we don't know if they even included the pulley, the thermostat or new serpentine belt or the fan clutch, this gobbler didn't even say any of this was included. Gobbler means they will gobble your money. Skip this one! We haven't made up our minds yet on who to use or if the one we choose will do a good job but we won't be using this one. It should be made of gold for this price. We used to trust mastermind automotive in Benton TN but we can't get a hold of him to even get a quote. ugh! It should take depending on the tools they have and the experience they have ...40 minutes with an experienced mechanic and for inexperienced with regular tools, 3 hours. We have read and looked at all reviews n videos n pricing all over online. PriceGeek was the best prices for the parts but we found that OEM $? or ACDelco 266.00 or Gates $? or Moray( lifetime warranty) 180.00 are the best water pumps. This pump would be for a chevy 3500 van and don't even have to take the radiator out to get to it. Too many mechanics will only guarantee the pump they put in for 1 year n not even lifetime which is not right. Who wants to keep putting cheap water pumps in and cheap gaskets that cause it to leak too quickly and having to put them in over and over again? Get a good one with preferably a lifetime warranty the first time. It's too much money and too hard to do these jobs over and over again. Get Good gaskets! Get a Good pump in the first place! ...or you will be sorry. And get guaranteed lifetime labor! To charge over 1200.00 is a Total rip off! This is double what all the others charge. Just an extra Note: And the pump manufacturer this company gobbler uses wont give a warranty at all unless you have a full coolant flush with it they said. They did not say which water pump they use. Maybe they already know they will have to do it again n so they charge double just in case. If we weren't older then we could buy the pump ourselves n do it much cheaper. And some say they catch the coolant n reuse it if it's clean, but we wouldn't. 180.00-266.00 pump with pulley, 40.00 or less for the belt, 75.00 coolant n a few clamps. So for around 300.00 to 385.00 we could do it ourselves depending on whether we put on a new belt. So they are making around 800.00 for labor here. Shame Shame!

I would consider exploring other options…read more Upon having our transmission rebuilt and rear main seal replaced by Gears we had an immediate oil leak from rear main seal (approximately 1 quart every 2 hours). Gears Transmission indicated they were not obligated to warranty rear main seal leak (in which they replaced). After 4 weeks of constant calls, broken promises to remedy, paying for repairs out of my pocket and pursuing legal action for reimbursement I finally received reimbursement for warranty work. To make matters worse, a broken bolt was discovered from seal install, meaning they broke a bolt and attempted to hide during installation. In addition, a loose bolt in transmission bell housing was also found. During transmission repair and warranty claim, Gears was horrible about providing updates; they only called/ returned our calls two times over this 9-week process. Granted, we travelled cross country day after receiving truck with rebuilt transmission and Gears had to use another shop to perform warranty repairs; however we had to take truck to 2 different shops of their choice so they could obtain multiple quotes and we ended up paying for repairs out of pocket after they reneged on paying their bill to vendor of their choice. Only after beginning legal proceedings did I receive reimbursement for main seal replacement.

A couple months ago I was let down by an established national brand who managed to deteriorate my car's condition further than what it already was. My buddy at work recommended Speedy's and told me about their honest workmanship. My first impression of the shop: The gentlemen in the shop were very approachable and not intimidating (important for me as a woman). It was clean and organized and had a friendly atmosphere. I left my '08 impala with them and it was returned quickly in a few days. They diagnosed my check engine light and replaced a solenoid in my camshaft. I didn't even mention to them the issues I had with the previous auto service center, but they called me and informed that it looked like my power steering pump had recently been replaced (which is correct) and the issues I was having was from the previous place not bleeding the line out correctly. They fixed this for me as well and now my car runs smoother than it has in a long time. I am very grateful for their fast, honest, knowledgeable service. Ok. I have a transmission issue…read more Brought it in to determine the root-cause. They found an old (not cleared) thermostat problem that I fixed a year ago. It didn't totally close, thus not allowing the Cat o get up to temperature quickly enough. I replaced for $25 and 45 minutes, easy. Check-engine light disappeared. But obviously the code locked in. And also they said I needed a full replacement transmission. Which I don't deny may be required. , sorta. I am 71 years old, done professional car work since 17. The ONLY reason I am not doing this myself is age. But that said, before I would tear down anything I would already know what component is bad. A valve, cam sensor, etc. My symptoms are of a valve-body stuck valve, causing the clutch(s) to not fully engage. Thus I wanted a more concise explanation for why I should give them $5,000 - $6,000 to replace the entire Xmission. I really should have had a talk with the trained mechanic that could go into depth about the detailed reason it is giving me problems. But I got the worker at the register explaining the estimate to me. I have 100% confidence she has ZERO true mechanical knowledge/training past what to say. She should have called the Tech to talk to me. Had that happened I would have set an appointment to have it replaced. But given the weak thermostat ($330) ghost diag, I had zero confidence about the rest of their work. Reminds me of "give a kid a hammer and everything looks like a nail".
