We had a car that had broken down for over a year, no time to get it fixed. Ernie from Superior Towing came to tow it from the apartment and I caught him just in time to ask if I can move my items from the vehicle. It's junk, and we wanted get rid of it anyway, so I let him know the details and he gracefully gave me an extra day to get my things. How nice! I received a call from Ernie the day of the pickup, asked if I could meet him at the apartment to collect my tag. I had completely forgotten! He waited about 10 minutes for me to get home and had already removed the tag for me. This saved me time, frustration, and money. There's no other way to put it, Superior Towing rocks. Wrongfully booted my car. When I called the company to get this issue resolved, the person on the phone insisted that regardless of whether the immobilization was lawful or not, I would still have to pay. After asking for proof of documentation showing that my pass was "illegible" the person hung up the phone. I will be filing a small courts complaint against the company. I have since spoken to multiple residents claiming they also know of people who were wrongfully booted by this same company. Terrible service. After two attempts, the system displayed a "duplicate transaction" message, so we assumed the payment had gone through. When we returned from dinner, our truck had been booted, and a representative from Superior informed us that no payment was received,. We were forced to pay $80 to have the boot removed. This service has a 1.4 Star Rating at the time at which I am writing this review and I feel as if this rating is far too generous for a business like this and feel the need to bring it lower. I got booted for barely parking over the line when there were so many parking spaces already open and it was within my own neighborhood. Plus when I called customer service to get the boot removed, they were extremely rude as if I chose to call them and take time out of their paid job. And then when the truck got here, they were continously trying to badger me into signing something which said I could not dispute the charges and even before giving me the chance to read and sign it, the truck driver kept insisting on me giving them my card. I wish there was a way to give an establishment 0 stars. The employees, as well as the owner, were and are extremely rude, arrogant, and provided HORRIBLE customer service. The receptionist constantly interrupted me, was putting words in my mouth, started yelling, and said "I am done speaking with you" in a tone that is not even close to being appropriate when speaking to a customer. It is evident that she received no training and it is pathetic that she is the first voice/representation of the company anytime someone calls. Yet, the owner Kevin must be related to her, because when I was finally able to get ahold of him he conducted himself in an identical manner. It is borderline illegal to operate as a company who scams people that does not provide any reasoning, evidence, or justification for their actions. If it weren't for larger companies (UF, The Standard, The Retreat, Piesanos etc. ) to have contracts with them, this company would be out of business immediately solely based on how unprofessional and rude they are. It is very ironic on their sign outside of Superior Towing's office, workers are offered the ability to work on commission. This perfectly explains how they boot and tow people because they have the power to and want to make the most money they can, meanwhile doing so for wrong reasons that do not justify booting/towing AT ALL. Rated a zero. What a sham, my guest's car at our condo at Jackson Square in Gainesville was booted this weekend. We had a parking pass clearly visible on the dash IN OUR OWN PARKING SPACE. Jackson Square gave us only one copy of the pass so we made a colored copy. Very terrible experience with them. My friend came over to visit me at my apartment, and we met at the door to the garage for me to give her a parking pass. Wish I could put 0 stars. Possibly the most hated place in Gainesville, with good reason. I'm sure this company and its employees literally spawned from the pits of hell itself. They are so completely unethical and their workers have no moral backbone at all. I had parked in a friend's complex with their visitor pass hanging from my rear view mirror, but there were no visitor parking spots left (which there were only so many to begin with) so I had no choice but to park in an empty spot that was not labeled as a visitor's spot. I saw that a few other cars had also done the same, so I figured it should be okay, especially since there weren't any visitor spots left anyway. Then I went to hang out with friends, and when I came back, my car was gone. I immediately knew it was this ugly towing company because I had seen a scraggly old white man going around with a flashlight checking each car at 1am a few weeks ago to see if they had a pass/parking permit or not, and then he ended up towing a car right after. I briefly looked around and saw that the other cars that were in the same parking situation as me were still left there, so I called, and apparently it was a roam tow. They actually admitted that they randomly towed my car for no reason. When I asked why it was only my car that was towed, the lady told me she didn't know and couldn't do anything about it. How useless. I wonder what it's like to have absolutely nothing else to do with your life other than to illegally tow and scam people out of hundreds of dollars each day. Must be a sad existence. This is happened a long time ago and just came up in conversation. Which pissed me off again. Went to pick my friend up at his apartment. I sat inside for about 15 minutes then went to smoke. Saw someone taking photos of the car and was like "what are you doing?". He said "I'm about to two this car". It was mine and asked him to wait I'll get my keys and move it my friend lives here. I literally ran back to get my keys and looked over to see the tow truck driver back up as fast as he could and take off with my car. Damaged a tire putting gouges in it, and caused damage to the gears. Likely assessment is they towed the rear wheel drive vehicle incorrectly. When attempted to ascertain and discuss the damages was put off for over an hour and in calling was hung up on with no resolution, The employees are rude and clearly untrained. Aside from my vehicle being towed unfairly and purely by mistake, I was treated without any common courtesy. The attendant was barely an adult, raised his voice at me even though I didn't, and became increasingly hostile as I pleaded my case. My rights, according to the Gainesville Police Department's Towing Bill of Rights (available on the GPD website, be sure to educate yourself) were violated, as the kid refused to let me inspect my vehicle prior to paying. My car was damaged in a rear end collision-no fault of my own. I brought my car in to a body shop in the morning and was picked up by the car rental place to get my rental. I got home w/ my rental and parked in my usual spot upset. I went up stairs and did a couple things and looked out the window and the rental was gone. I didn't even get a chance to put the decal on b/c I'd just gotten home from the rental car place. I should have immediately put the decal on and I'll take the blame for that. Who knew that they'd arrive so quickly-and after the morning I'd had. I called Superior Towing and said I live in the community just got home and didn't even have a chance to put my decal on. I told them about my morning. When I arrived at Superior a brunette woman with a short pony tail got the manager upon my request. The manager didn't even take 2 minutes to ask for proof or to understand that I'd had a very long morning switching cars b/c of the accident and hadn't even had the rental parked there for very long when it was suddenly towed. He basically had a 'so what, no one cares' attitude. I was fuming and had to pay $100 dollars to get the car out. The brunette behind the plastic window was smiling and when I asked her if she'd be smiling if this happened to her she responded with "What I'm not allowed to smile?"Apparently it's funny at Superior towing when you take someone's money that they had left to live off of for the next week and a half. And it's funny when people are having a bad day. If the manager had even taken sometime to consider the fact that I had 2 decals and a drivers license with my address on it as proof-but instead he made his decision in about 10 seconds. If you use this place to even have your car towed you are contributing to the paychecks of people whom have no care for others. I called them back after leaving hoping to speak to someone more understanding and the woman who answered the phone after I told her everything that had happened just said "Is there anything else I can help you with?"
