I came in just as they were opening for the day, so I was the only one in the place for a while. First impression? The space/decor is not much to look at. But Liz was attentive, cheerful and chatty, and I relaxed pretty quickly -- I'd rather have a "regulars swing by" kind of experience than feel like I need to be on my best behavior in a fancy spa setting, anyway. I didn't have a firm idea of what I wanted in terms of style, so I let Liz take the reins -- we ultimately decided on a half-updo so the gentle curls she set in my hair would stay in place until the afternoon. I love that she asked me what I thought of what she was doing every step of the way; I really got the impression she wanted me to be happy with the final result. And I was! $32 and I floated away like a princess; I wish I had an excuse to come back every weekend.

So frustrated with Two Twenty Two Salon & Spa. I came in in October and had a great experience with…read moremy cut and color. In October I rebooked for the same service for the end of December. One week before my appointment I got a call saying my stylist would be unavailable. I had the option of keeping the same day with someone else or rebooking. Since I'd been looking forward to it for 3 months and was in desperate need of a recolour I decided to keep the appointment. I arrived 15 minutes early and my new stylist was not there yet. After waiting another 30 minutes she called in with a flat tire. I get it, things happen. So I rebooked for the following week at the same time. Between driving and waiting without word I wasted close to an hour and a half of my day (that I took off from work for the appt). The next week I received a text confirming my appt and responded to confirm. I heard nothing else from the salon so I drove the 30 minutes to the salon only to find a sign on the door saying closed until January 5th. At this point I'm extremely frustrated considering I rearranged my day for this appointment and had now been looking forward to it for a week. I was told by someone at the building that they had tried to contact me, and they had to close due to COVID. I'm just annoyed I wasted another day driving to my appt and planning on getting my hair done only to be disappointed again.

Its taken me quite a while to find a salon where the stylists are as friendly as family yet as talented as the trendy upscale salons in Boston that cost a fortune. I go to the stylist named Jessie. If I ever hit the lottery - I will beg her to be my live in hairdresser.

I honestly dont remember when I consistently got such amazing cuts. In fact, the cuts are so beautiful that the last time i was there i asked her not to style and blow dry because it was drying on its own so fabulously! My friend's cut is equally great and her color is spot on. This shop may not have all the hoopla and bells and whistles with flashy stylists yacking on their cell phones acting as if they are doing you a favor by cuttung and styling your hair (you all know what I mean), but let me tell you, there is no doubt in my mind that there isn't any type of cut, color or styling that this woman could not do to perfection. And you won't leave there having to replenish your funds with another full week's salary. This is a true hidden gem. I'm not kidding. It really is. They don't get better than Pizzazz!
