Kacy at Flo Salon is the best stylist I have ever had! A friend (and longtime client) recommended…read moreKacy to me and she's phenomenal. Kacy's worked on Newbury Street at prestigious salons for years, so you're basically getting the best of Newbury Street at a more convenient location (Oak Square - think easy and free parking) and more reasonable price point. Love that she can handle any hair type - from my best friend's cool blond hair, to my coarse thick brown hair, as well as working with my aunt who I referred and toning out the yellow and restoring her beautiful platinum silver hair. Kacy is talented at both cut, layering, color, and highlights. I also love that she's really nice and has a very strong work ethic - she always replies in a timely manner and was so kind when I had to reschedule an appointment. I highly recommend Kacy (and anyone she'd hire to work at the salon) because she truly has impeccable taste.

The stylist cut my beard MUCH shorter than we agreed to while my glasses were off…read more This was in the Westwood, MA location. I had a beard that was about 4 inches long. I asked the stylist to tame it and we agreed to a spot about 3 inches, plus trim on the sides. I removed my glasses and said "I trust your judgement" which was a mistake. She worked on it and when she was done I put my glasses back on and my beard was less than an inch long. She said when she got to the spot we agreed to she thought it was still too wild so she kept trimming, without asking me. I didn't complain, because the damage was done and I thought it would grow back quickly, but a month later it's still much shorter than I want - and much shorter than we agreed to. If I can't trust a stylist while my glasses are off, I can't go back here.

Great haircuts, stylish shop, reasonable price and quicker than you'd imagine for such a fabulous job. I've had a lot or barbers in my 78 years on the planet and Izzy is, hands down, the best I've ever had. However, You can't go wrong with any of the rest of the guys either.

The prices as listed, both on the wall and online, are simply false. I have very short hair (photo…read moreattached) which I had trimmed; this involved removing about half an inch. And yet I was charged for "extra long hair" instead of a "standard haircut." When I asked for clarification, the barber (who in his defense didn't know a lot of English) just repeated the price. Why all the nonsense with "standard hair" and "extra long hair"? Why not be transparent that you charge women 25% more for your services than you do men, and that hair length has nothing to do with it? Also: this is the most raggedy-looking asymmetrical hairline I've ever had in my life. Honestly no idea what was going on, but I was worried if I asked the barber again to correct it it'd just keep getting worse.

I specifically asked for Tina because I had read great reviews for her online. When I arrived to my appointment, I was sat down and Kevin started to cut my hair instead of Tina. They said that Kevin was available now and that Tina was still busy with the prior customer. They didn't give me a choice to wait for Tina and I felt extremely pressured to just accept the haircut with Kevin. I was reluctant but hoping for the best. Overall, the haircut that I received with Kevin was ok but not great. In my opinion, not worth the cheaper price if it's unclear who will be cutting your hair.
