    Crossroads Foundation Repair

My experience with this company repairing my foundation has been an absolute nightmare. Avoid this…read morecompany at all costs. Their salesman is the only thing good about this company, and that's only because he can sell a subpar service under the guise of being a professional. Make no mistake about it. There is nothing professional about Crossroads Foundation Repair. From the top down, they have zero communication. From one regular guy to another, please don't waste your time, patience, anger, and frustration on hiring this company. Quick synopsis of the issues: Jacked the foundation up, an inch to high, causing other damage throughout the house. I notice this issue pretty quickly within a couple weeks and let them know, they sent a guy out to fill the cracks they forgot to fill in initially and I told him It's not right and seems like it was a rush job, he agreed and said it looks like it to him aswell and he will report back to the office, they should be in touch with me. *month goes by* When I asked to have the issue fixed they sent someone out to look at it and he tried to tell me it's low, I then had to explain to another man how level works and why he is wrong. I told him they need to adjust the bill because I'm not paying $14,000 for $5,000 worth of shoddy work. He says he will talk to the office. *Month goes by* Got an email saying they want to send a crew out to repair the problem, ignoring the billing issues. I bring up something has to be done because there has been other damage caused by doing the job incorrectly and I'm not paying professional prices for 2 guys in a truck type work. To my surprise, he took full responsibility. Said it was their fault, apologized for it and said they would get a new invoice out to me to account for the issues. They show up today, I asked for the new invoice, the invoice is exactly the same. Just don't waste your time, if you don't know how to tell if the job is done correctly, I fear they will take your money and run. Edit 1/17/25 The crew came out and lowered the piers, the house did not come back down with it. They now have to schedule another return visit in April or May after the house has re-settled lower so they can come back out and raise it back up. Reminder, this issue was caused by their shoddy work initially. Edit 1/27/25 Obviously as you can see from the company's reply they don't look into anything or keep track of their company, if they had, they would know that I am still, currently, working with them and in contact with them working on correcting the problem. I am not posting this anonymously, they know who I am or at least should after damaging my property and delaying repairs. Still haven't seen an updated invoice with the 50% off to pay for those repairs. I've only been told "don't worry about paying your bill until the work is completed". Edit 4/16/25 They came back out to try and reset the foundation again as it had dropped. Well, now the foundation is level at the corners and high in between. It STILL isn't right. Just to add insult to injury the crew that was on site this time decided that marking level by using a GRINDER on my brick was a good idea...I just can't seem to figure out how a company could POSSIBLY be soo bad at what their company name says they do, make it make sense...*added photos for proof. PS they damaged my gutter too...

Hired them to raise concrete stairs. They talked me into adding additional work. They were not…read moreable to fix my stairs yet spent extra hours wastefully trying the same hopeless process and wasting material but we're still unsuccessful. I now have to have my stairs replaced, and have the foam dug out. They discounted $83 out of a $2,000 plus bill, stating that they only charged me for material and time. The time I was charged for was due to incompetence from their worker choosing to continue to try and not make any progress. The extra material is from the same worker who wastefully sprayed foam that seeped out and he cut and threw away. He wasted more foam than the entire project should have taken yet I was made to pay for it. I would not recommend them to anyone, nor would I ever hire them again. The picture is actually the end result, which was the sole reason I hired them.

First the backstory: We put a small room addition on our home 20 years ago. The room addition was…read morebuilt on a 4' crawl space foundation, while the older main house it butted up to had an 8' standard basement foundation. Over the years with the freeze/thaw in the ground, compounded by the dryness in recent years which shrinks the soil, the room addition was sinking ever so slightly at the end farthest from the main house ... 20 feet away. Sum and substance, the far end of the dining room had sunk about 1" causing it to pull away slightly from the main house at the roof line. We got five quotes to repair what had happened. Acculevel did the work to earn the job. The field agent for Acculevel (Dan) was excellent; he took his time and really went over the room addition in detail. He agreed with what the problem was and proposed a series of six helical piers on the exterior to stabilize the room and possibly lift it back up. His analysis was so thorough that he also found a foundation crack inside the crawl space that needed repair. Only one of the other firms that quoted on the job went to the effort Dan did. We decided to go with Acculevel. Acculevel was willing to negotiate some of the language on the contract, and this made it fair to both parties. They originally wanted 50% down, but since the job wasn't to be done until six months later in the Spring and they only needed to do permit work and an engineering report, we agreed to 25% down ... with the other 25% when we received a copy of the permit and engineering report. Very reasonable by all parties. Hint: Always read the contract ... because what's in there is for you and them. When the day came to do the job, the two employees they sent out ... Ricardo and Orlando ... were also tip-top. They worked hard and long hours, hand dug all the pits for the piers, set the piers in place and called it a day ... it was a 10-hour day not counting their travel time. The second day they screwed the piers into the ground (a couple were screwed in 17'), mounted the foundation brackets (essentially large heavy duty "L"-shaped brackets), and used bottle jacks to ratchet the brackets up firmly against the footing. After jacking the room up almost back to perfect, they back-filled, tamped, and replaced all the landscaping that had been disturbed. In the end, the room was stabilized and lifted back up to approximately where it had been before sinking. We did not see any wallboard cracks in the interior of the room, which is a small risk you run when you jack the room back up. As the contract stated, the work performed was warranted to stabilize the room, but not guaranteed to lift it back up. We were very happy with how it turned out. If we had to nit-pick anything, it would be dealing with the home office back in Rossville, Indiana. They are often hard to get a hold of ... you end up leaving messages and hoping for a return call. Acculevel serves six or so states and have been growing very fast, so they get some slack in this area. But we were so satisfied with the work and the result ... especially the field agent Dan and the workers Ricardo and Orlando ... we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I would give zero stars if that were an option. I genuinely don't feel this company deserves even…read moreone. They completed work at my home three months ago, and almost immediately issues started coming up. I asked them to come back out to re-evaluate, and when they finally did, that visit went poorly and clearly needs to be redone. Since then, more than two months have passed with absolutely no effort on their part to correct the situation. Meanwhile, the problem has only continued to get worse. I have reached out repeatedly trying to get back on the schedule, and I've been met with delays, excuses, and empty promises. It's beyond frustrating at this point. What makes this even more upsetting is that I paid top dollar specifically because I wanted the job done correctly the first time. Instead, I'm left with worsening issues and zero accountability. Scott keeps saying he's "reaching out," but nothing ever actually happens. I'm exhausted from chasing a company I already paid. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and completely unacceptable.
