This purchase and installation just may be my worst experience in my 35+ years as a project manager. We contracted a black aluminum fence to be installed to surround our in-ground pool and a small portion of the lawn to provide an outdoor area for our two dogs. The proposal was fair and accepted. Everything seemed to be going as proposed until the installation began, and it became instant buyer's remorse. The install was early spring, and the ground was still soft. The fence was completed within a week and they left. When I arrived home from work that afternoon, I immediately went down to the pool to look at the finished job and was utterly dismayed. The aluminum fence and entire pool area was a muddy mess, nine of the panels and the posts could easily be moved three to four inches with my fingertips. I called and voiced my concern, and they sent the same two installers out the next day to repair it. When I came home from work that day five of the nine panels were completed and they had to be called back out again. The panel issue was finally addressed, and my wife and I began a weekend of cleaning all of the mud off of the pool deck, stairs, driveway, and of all things the fence itself. The black fence was half brown with muddy handprints everywhere. While cleaning the fence we found that several of the caps on the top of the posts were damaged and needed to be replaced because it looks as if the installers placed the caps on the post, flipped it over and banged it on the concrete deck to snug the cap, scuffing up the cap and removing the paint in the process.......and then it got worse. Several weeks later as Aquarius was out to open our pool it was discovered that during the fence install, they had run one of the posts through the top of buried pools pump line. The bill for finding the leak, excavation and repair was $3,500. When I asked Mr. Fence It about their covering the damage from the installation they said it was a private line and not a utilities line and that they were not responsible or liable for the cost to repair. My attorney is currently looking into what might be the best avenue for recovering our expenses thus far but suffice it to say that this company has little regard for owning up to a mistake and making it right with the customer. I am posting this as a warning to any future readers to definitely consider looking elsewhere if considering this business in any future projects and if you are possibly considering Mr. Fence It you are more than welcome to call or email me and I will be more than glad to walk you around my property and show you their quality of work. The gentleman that did the quote was amazing at first. was told it would be done in 3 days it took a week, which that would a have been fine if they would have used their time wisely. First day did posts, totally fine! Second day came back to drop wood and that was the ONLY thing they did, and decided our neighbor's yards were the best place for that it would have there thru the weekend. So move to day 3 of "work" never showed!! Day 4 they did GREAT sides up only a small spot to finish and the three gates!! Day 5 did two gates with 4 guys here and left 1 gate to do‍ Day 6 finished the final gate. Now remind you they start work at 7am end at 4pm, they would start work between 9:30-10am and leave by 2:30-3 and take and hour lunch after being here an hour. I had asked for them to please respect my landscaping I have put a lot of work into my flowers, nope couldn't do that!! My husband and I both spoke with the manager numerous times did no good, was even told he would make things right for us being disappointed and not happy with the lack of work being done never heard anything back!! I can't say enough about this company. They are under new ownership since the last time we used them but their standards are the same. My 94 yr old mom's fence snapped in the wind storm. They came out the next day to assess the damage and help us get the fence propped up so she could let her dog out until they could come back. They worked her into their schedule since it was a quick repair. They communicated every step of the way and we will definitely use them again! read more

Back on March 4, 2024, my husband and I requested a quote to repair part of our PVC fencing and gate (damaged by wind) from Mr. Fence It. Received a quote and agreed on the price, gave them the down payment requested. Several weeks went by and they came to do the repair and stated that the work was more extensive and had to revise our original quote (no work was done at that time). We agreed to the new higher price. More time went by with no communication from Mr. Fence It. Over the course of the next 4 months, we stopped by their business office several times to inquire when the work would be done, we could not get them to commit to a definite date for the repairs and had no updates or communication from them (only when we stopped into their office to inquire). Finally on July 16, 2024, we called to cancel the project and asked for our down payment back at which point they stated that " we were going to be there tomorrow to start the work", which we did not believe as they had not contacted us in any way saying they would be at our home the next day. We went ahead and cancelled and was told that a check for the down payment would be sent out in 5-7 business days. Here we are five (5) weeks later and have NOT received our down payment back and we are very doubtful that we ever will. My husband and I are both retired and cannot understand why Mr. Fence It apparently thinks it's okay to take advantage of people, especially older people. read more

poor contractor doesn't stand behind work. workers look shady with tattoos. No shirts they don't clean up cigarette buds. cut my electric to my home and cost me money he would pay for it and tried to take him to small claims court and Gene Hurt is good at getting out of paying for repairs. Quality of work was bad priced high for work that should have been done but yet wasn't done looked like someone that really didn't know what they were doing.
