I decided to build a custom raised garden bed for my wife...because she's awesome. I knew I needed…read moresome good dirt for the garden because every good thing starts with a great foundation. PJ Hebert was my first stop along the route of landscape supply companies in the area. I just wanted to get a quote, check out the dirt and be on my way. When I walked into the front office, I was immediately pleased with this place. The items they had for sale were organized and the room was clean. A nice older dog was laying on the floor. The wonderful woman behind the counter greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed any help. I felt comfortable. I told the woman I needed soil for my garden. She said they have the best sifted soil in the area. She also recommended a 50/50 blend of soil and compost to get the best results. She showed me where the bins of soil and compost were on a map of their yard and told me to go take a look to make sure it's what I want. I ventured out to the yard and inspected the soil and compost. She wasn't kidding, the soil was good quality. I'm not necessarily a dirt expert...I mean...I played in it when I was a kid. I might have eaten some too. I have also dug quite a few holes in my day...sooo...I guess I'm perfectly qualified to determine whether or not soil is of good quality. I needed 3 yards of soil/compost mix. I also needed it delivered. I decided to make the purchase because they had the amount I needed and they also had very quick delivery. Due to the fact that I didn't shop around, I have no clue if I paid a lot or not. All I know is that once the soil was in the garden and the veggies were planted, we harvested some wonderful food. Don't take my word for it, check out the photo. Seriously, I've never seen plants grow so well. If you are in need of really good top soil, come to PJ Hebert. They have a great local reputation and fantastic customer service. You won't be disappointed. ~ Brian S.

We had raised flower beds made with decorative retaining wall bricks that became uneven and out of alignment over 20 years. Time for an update. We had Joe out in early spring to take measurements and make the estimate. What a guy, but I would expect nothing less from Sal and his crew! Sal and his team arrived in July and started working, tearing out the old beds including plant materials. Forms were made, concrete was poured and finished, all on day one. Next day they returned to expose the aggregate, stain and seal everything up. Beautiful result completed in just two days. Amazing work! I live in Sterling Heights - In the front, plant three shrubs - in the back plant a memorial tree. Larry came out, discussed a plan and then followed through with it. I've had many landscaping companies come in and do what they thought was best and not what I wanted. Larry and his crew listened and did exactly what I wanted. My anxiety was high but it was totally unnecessary. This company - these men are the real deal. Their work and clean up is extraordinary!

They then killed three areas of perennials, each of which was within a clearly-defined garden area. One had taken four years to establish. In another area, I even had a sign telling them not to spray it, but they did. Discussed it with them twice. Their idea was not to treat half my yard, which is avoidance rather than a resolution. They offered nothing about replacing the plants. I am disappointed in the service and quite upset about the damage to my garden.

We hired Anthony Dangelo from D'Angelos Landscaping and we are tired of begging for a resolution…read morefor unfinished work. He has ghosted us and we have tried to give him ample opportunity to make this right. Just some of the issues we have are listed below. We paid for old barrier to be removed (it is killing our plants) and new barrier to be installed before rocks were installed in several areas. In several areas the old barrier was never removed and it's still killing for plants. In some areas no barrier was installed at all. Anthony failed to inform us he does not know how to do hardscaping and he never divulged he subcontracted a company to install brick on end (BOE). The install of the BOE was HORRIBLE and left us with a mess we need to have it completely replaced. The BOE fell apart after three days. I refused to pay for the BOE however, I will have to end up paying MORE then the initial cost to have all the rock, sand, and concrete removed so we have it properly installed. He still owes us a four plants that he has not made good on. One plant has died, he dug the holes for the other two plant and one shrub but he has ghosted me and won't return my texts. They damaged our landscaping lights, two sprinkler heads and buried a sprinkler head under barrier and rocks (I had to dig it out). They are the only landscaping company I've ever hired that (by his own admission) does not know how to repair sprinkler heads/lines or severed landscaping lights. It's understandable our lawn would be damaged in the process however, the 'repair' was unacceptable. There are still bare spots and uneven soil that he promised to level out. They dug up sections of our lawn while doing work for our neighbor (they are unhappy as well and hopefully they write a review) and just left it unfinished. They damaged a significant portion of our front lawn while doing the neighbor's BOE (which has already fallen apart as well) and replaced it with sod that is at least 50% weeds. It looks terrible. Our 16 year old Japanese Maple tree was severely damaged and I had to argue with him for two days to get some kind of compromise for the damage. He refused to cover the full cost of the damaged. He did his very best to avoid taking responsibility at all and had I not asked for some type of resolution he had no intention of addressing it or apologizing. He was supposed to return to transplant several plants that were incorrectly placed so, now I'm stuck doing the work myself even though we paid him to do it. We met with him in person shortly after his crew left to express our concerns and we thought we had a clear understanding. He promised to make is right and and return to fix all of the issues and in return we paid him and we stated we wouldn't write a negative review. It's been a month now and he refuses to return my texts and calls so, this is my only option at this point. ****Update**** Anthony Dangelo claims he has been the Owner / CEO of the company for 6 years and he is 24 years old. They helped us with so many different projects and felt like we had built a great rapport with Camille and his crew. So whenever anyone needed recommendations for home improvement, we always turned them to 3 Feathers. My dad needed an old patio step demolished and rebuilt. He lives in an HOA so the HOA is very particular about the type of step that can be put in. We trusted Camille and his crew with helping my dad out. We figured he'd be in good hands since we were loyal customers with 3 Feathers. Camille and his crew no-show twice to my dad's house. These were scheduled appointments. The first no-show, we figured that they were just busy and it slipped their mind. Then the second no-show happened. There was no customer service in explaining themselves on why they were no-shows. This was very atypical of the experience that we had with Camille and his crew. After the second no show they never responded and haven't since. That was phone calls and emails. We also had our gutters fixed (last job by them for us) by them and realized that they were leaking in spots. We reached out to them to try to help us with what's going on and once again they ghosted us. So, not sure what's going on with their business. Very sad when we have worked with them so much.
