They did not have the part on their truck and told me another tech of theirs's was bringing the replacement part out to my house. The techs waiting for the part to arrive. In the meantime they stood in my driveway and smoked cigarettes and talked for an hour and a half before the part arrived. It came, they installed it and charged me a $165.00 service call and $25.00 for the part. Total was $190.00. That evening we noticed we had no hot water again. I checked the pilot light and once again it was out. I called the next morning and let Jen know I had no pilot light or hot water. They wanted to charge me for another service call to come out and this time replace the gas control valve on my hot water heater. They did tell me they would only charge me half of a service call since they had been out the day before and did not fix the problem. I inquired about possibly having my hot water heater replaced because by the time I paid them for another part and another service call, I was approaching the cost for a new hot water heater. Jen told me she would look up the price of the control valve and put together a price for a new hot water heater if that was needed and call me back. I waited for two days for Jen to call back. I had no hot water in the interim. Because Jen failed to call back like she said she would, I had to hire another plumber, pay an additional service charge to have the problem fixed. They seemed to be nice enough people but they did not fix the problem and wanted more money to come out.

But wait, i thought he was the expert, so why did it take so long to get you a "Pepe", huh??The installation took well over ,7hrs. On top of that, he was not thorough in his work and he charged me extra for a part that should have come with the initial installation. That night, I noticed the tub was still leaking and other complications aroused from the water heater installation. He returned the following day, installed another part, and he claimed the tub was fixed. FALSE...It was still leaking!! Gah damn sorry a**m***....I called another company, enough is enough. They came out, the installation was done improperly ,and it was not up to code. They fixed that as well as the leak from the tub.

I did a google search to find a company that had good ratings. I found Mr. Drippy Plumbing. Seemed like a good company. Promptness: The way Mr. Drippy works on the potential of needing a new hot water heater is them come to your residence to check your appliance. This is not my first rodeo on replacing Hot Water Heaters, A/C units, Appliances and more. I expected to get a time to visit in about a week. Instead, it was the next day. Add to that, they showed up on time. I was shocked. Be A Smart Consumer: I knew from the start, fixing my unit was going to be a segway to replacing it. That is way looking at my issue was not a charge. I also knew, once they saw the unit, the comparison pricing for fixing and new unit would be the sales presentation. Based on my location and needs, I researched the approximate pricing of the replacement, removal, parts and labor. My HOA has a rule to only use licensed and insured venders, or I would do what I used to do. Buy the unit, hire a non-licensed or insured vendor and same money. NOT THIS TIME. Who knows what can happen and the HOA would come back to me. Service Provided: I was presented the numbers and surprise, I selected to purchase a new unit. To my surprise, it was installed that same day. The installer was a true professional. The unit brand was American which is middle quality. The price was higher than what I expected however I paid a bit more because of the great communication I was given throughout the process. Sometimes, we have to give credit to a good company during this challenging times. Issue With the Installation: I live on the third floor with units on the second and first floors. It seems, when the water from my old water heater unit was disposed of, it made a leak in the pipes for the 1st floor unit. I was very upset at first. Then Mr. Drippy Sent in a manager, followed by a water repair company that same day. I called the day after to see what the situation was and the repair was in process. Throughout this situation, I communicated with all parties especially the HOA in great detail. I waited two weeks to write this review. It seems the issue is resolved. Conclusion: Hiring professionals that are licensed, insured and reviews mostly well makes a difference. Will you have to pay a little more, yes. It is worth it, yes. Would I do business with these folks again, yes. Simple as that.

I really wanted to like this company because everyone I spoke to was so nice. However, if you are…read morehaving plumbing issues, I would not use them. We have had the same problem with our plumbing for over a year now. We have had countless people come out from Xcalibur to look at the problem and we have paid them almost $3,000 in total and nothing has been fixed. The first encounter was in December of 2024. I even paid for the VIP service because I was told that the VIP would help us get quicker appointments. We paid every quote we were given, and we did everything Xcalibur recommended. We even got our septic tank cleaned out unnecessarily because they recommended it. I first became frustrated with Xcalibur in January of 2025, because we had so many people come out and everyone assured us that the problem was fixed when they left. At that time, we were quoted $2,335 to fix the problem that we had been assured was already fixed. I wanted to use another company because I felt like we were getting the run around, but Xcalibur assured me that this would fix our problem. I was told that the company stands by their work and that they offer a warranty on their services. I reluctantly agreed to the work because they were so nice and I trusted them at their word. We were told everyone who had come out before from their company did not know what they were doing, but this plumber was the "fixer" and would make everything right. When I asked for a copy of the warranty, I was emailed a copy of the invoice only. Over a year later, and the problem is still not fixed. We had someone come out last week from Xcalibur, because the problem resurfaced yet again. Not only is there not a warranty on the work done by Xcalibur, but we paid almost $400 for a camera to be run (for a second time by Xcalibur). We were then provided a verbal quote for well over $10,000.00. I was again told that everyone who had come out before had no idea what they were doing but THIS would be the fix. The suggested quote included going through concrete and ripping our floors up. The flooring work was not included in the quote. At this point I have lost all trust in Xcalibur as they have repeatedly lied, and they do not stand by their work. They clearly do not even think their past plumbers did a good job. They clearly only care about money as they continually come out and quote more and more each time. The $400 we paid last week (on top of the money we have paid to them previously) did absolutely nothing, because only a few days later the problem was back. I called another company and they came out quickly and they were so incredibly professional. Everything Xcalibur failed to do in over a year has been fixed in only a few hours and around $750.
