It was so disturbing I ended the appointment and left. I found this info on this technique: "Fishing/Probing: Blindly moving the needle side-to-side or rotating it under the skin to find a vein. This is considered dangerous and painful and should be stopped immediately." I'm so horrified they did this to my son.

I've used competitors with my past health insurance plans and I have to say my experience with Labcorp has always been absolutely stellar!! Phlebotomist are always great, you barely feel a thing when they collect a sample of blood. Due to pandemic Labcorp does what many other clinics do and have you check in from the comfort of your car using your smartphone. The process is great and shortly after checking in I got the alert to enter the lab. I was taken in promptly and out the door in literally like 5 mins. Pre-pandemic you would check-in at a small kiosk located near reception but for pandemic times the process is contactless.

The waiting room has a kiosk for Check-In ( again with appt or for walk-in) Have your Driver's License ready (& if you are using Insurance, that card too.) The kiosk scans these cards. Check In takes only a few minutes. The,staff gets patients In\Out FAST!! I have "hard to find" veins. I run into painful issues sometimes. BUT here we are 3 for 3 for perfect blood work extraction. Very easy to find with a sign that says it's on the second floor of the Geisinger building. You self check in at the kiosk. Your name appears on the screen & when they're ready, they'll cal you in. Got there at 11:05. Had a 11:15 apt but they took me in at 11:10 and was put by 11:30. Extremely friendly staff who you can tell love their jobs! The nurse who helped me was named Pamela, super nice lady! Y'all give her a raise frrrr
