This was a major issue but they have many more. For example it is impossible to get in touch with anyone and no one calls back when they say they will. I have asked five different times for them to send records to a different office and it has still not happened after two plus weeks. They do not have phone numbers for all of their different offices so you have to go through a system to get transferred but they made it nearly impossible to figure out extensions for all the different offices. The list goes on and on. The doctors may be good but their entire system, office management, and how they do things just isn't organized and they are flat out messy.

She's the first person you come in contact with so the impression should better. I have to give Dr. Ali credit for showing some compassion, but he needs to up his game when it comes to the concerns his patients make. If I say this medicine is exacerbating other issues, maybe prescribe something else instead of saying, "it shouldn't be doing that" and to just "hang in there." I was referred to an imaging center for an MRI and that was an even worse experience. All I can say is check your insurance. Dr. Nguyen was reckless in his questioning of patient on previous abuse in an attempt to prove the…read morecause of patient's injury was due to substance abuse. His questions were not helpful in the purpose for the visit, which was to determine if further medical testing, or rehab, etc. was indicated. This appointment was not made for a psychiatric assessment or for psychiatric care. The appointment was made with the diagnosis already being delivered at the emergency room by the doctor on duty who recommended follow up care with a Neurologist to determine prognosis and course of action. Sadly, this emergency room doctor, who operates out of the same hospital, recommended Dr. Nguyen. The questions that were fired off in a 20-30 initial appointment which was intended to address a Radial Nerve Entrapment, were demeaning and appeared to be intended to shame and cast blame. "How far did you get in school?"; "Have you ever been abused?"; "What do you do for work?"; are a few examples. Since Dr. Nguyen was not acting in the role of Psychiatrist and was not prepared to offer any therapeutic component to aid the patient with the painful memories his questions triggered, then he was doing harm to the patient. All of this questioning plus a brief, minutes long physical assessment in which no further medical treatment was recommended, the injury would most likely heal on its own, was performed within less than 30 minutes. The patient was left reeling emotionally. I was a witness to all of this. I am 60 years old, a breast cancer survivor, abuse survivor, have 4 children, 2 of whom have congenital health issues. I have been to many doctors over the years for myself, my children and other family members. I have never had contact with anyone as reckless in his patient relationship, of course all under the guise of seeking information pertinent to the case. None of the information changed the initial diagnosis, projection for recovery from injury or any of the neurological concerns that the patient came to get help with. Even so, when the doctor gave the final paperwork, he listed the primary diagnosis as: 1.Childhood Abuse - 262.819(based on an affirmative head nod when the patient was asked if they had ever been abused) and 2. Mood Disorder - F39. So, the patient was given by this Neurologist a psychological diagnosis based on a few answers to verbal questions and a head nod. I have NO frame of reference for ANYTHING like this. I worry for the next vulnerable patient who happens to find themselves in Dr. Nguyen's examining room. I have a moral responsibility to warn others.

I filled out the usual new patient paperwork and then was called back into see Gottlieb. When he saw my chart and inquired about a procedure I had done with a colleague of his in the industry, and I did not have glowing things to say about said colleague and my procedure, Gottlieb proceeded to chastise me for even showing up to see him for a simple ear cleaning. This Gottlieb guy felt he was so unworthy of being selected by me, a new patient, to choose him for a procedure cleaning when I could have just "gone to his idol instead," who, I may add, did a surgery on me that did not go well, was a complete failure, and made my condition worse, so why would I choose to go back to said provider that made my condition worse, or ever see him again? Read the room, dude. Were you really that clueless?? Apparently so. I have never in all my years of going to ear doctors (over 40 years) seen a man feel so inferior to his colleague at the sheer mention of his idol's name and then have the nerve to chastise a new patient for "choosing him" instead of just going back to this other colleague of his that he idolizes and feels a massive inferiority ego complex being mentioned in the same industry against. Total unprofessionalism; if he is that ego-sensitive to the sheer mention of his idol's name and anything negative mentioned about a patient's experience with said idol of his, which the patient has every right to say, as I did, he should not be dealing with patients in any form if he is that sensitive to a differing viewpoint that challenges his view. It's none of his business why a patient chooses to go to another provider, the reasons are many, and he shouldn't have questioned me for choosing him over another competitor of his. Honesty, It's none of his business, it is a choice who a patient chooses for medical care. I did not bring this conversation up initially and had no plans to even talk about it. He prodded me for information when he saw the other guy's name mentioned on the form and wanted details when I told him I was not fond of his idol colleague. This entire conversation was instigated and started by Gottlieb almost immediately after he came into the room to see me. This is the most unprofessional first visit I have ever had with any medical provider. I told my regular ENT about this interaction, and he was shocked at this kind of treatment and agreed that it was very unprofessional and bizarre. Terrible experience. There are plenty of ENT providers to choose from in the DFW area to help you with your needs; in my opinion you would obviously want to choose someone else who actually cares about you, the patient, wants your business, wants to help you, and won't judge you instantly and question you for even choosing to use their services or question you if your view on something or someone is different than theirs. Go anywhere else. I wish I hadn't seen this provider.

The check-in staff are nice enough, but once you are waiting to be seen, there seems to be very little interest in hearing the patient's history or listening when you try to explain why the situation is concerning. My husband does not always present like a typical cardiac patient, which makes his history especially important. On previous visits here, he has ultimately been admitted and required serious cardiac intervention, including emergency procedures and valve surgery. Once we actually get back to the ER doctors, our experience has been very different. The physicians have provided good, quality care. My concern is getting to that point. If this weren't the closest hospital to our home, especially during a possible cardiac event, I'm not sure we would continue coming here. There is a large sign warning patients that aggressive behavior toward staff will not be tolerated. I completely understand and support protecting hospital employees. At the same time, after sitting here again and watching how frustrated people become when they feel unheard, I think compassion and communication need to go both ways. We are currently here again, sitting in a mostly empty waiting room, so I will update this review as our visit progresses.

I've worked with this physical therapist owner before and some of the staff and have had really good experience at another company. However, at this new location I left my last appointment this week being told by the front desk girl, Claire, that even though there was flooding and inclement weather notifications on my phone on May 27 and had notified the office and the therapist on his cell phone, that I would not be able to drive over there safely, they were still going to charge me. Claire at the front desk told me that they would not refund me that charge because I was the only person that missed my appointment that day. WHAT?????!!!!! I told her that is wrong of them to do that and it was inclement weather. I even texted the physical therapist, a picture of the city of Garland notification saying not to drive unless you were evacuating an area. I don't understand how a physical therapy office would expect a patient to walk in that kind of downpour and possibly fall and then try to drive in heavy rain and then have to also walk through the rain into their office. I have my own business and I would never treat my clients that way when there's inclement weather. Their safety comes first. This sounds more like an office worrying about their bottom line and not about the welfare and safety of their patients. Just because other patients were able to make it to their appointment at different times of the day doesn't mean that the area that they were driving from has the same downpour we were experiencing on our side of town. My pic of this weather notification is attached. I had left a positive review on Google saying how much I appreciated this office and the work they do. So for this office to treat me like this is truly careless and appalling. What I also find very interesting. Is that when I arrived for my appointment this week they were playing a game where they had drawn a taco, a hamburger and pizza on a board on the wall and they wanted patients to say which one they would want to eat forever. I didn't really see what that had to do with physical therapy, but I played along. This kind of tactic with patients gives people the impression that it's a friendly physical therapy office with people that wanna have fun and make it fun for the patients. But then, the same girl Claire that told me that she was going to charge me for that missed appointment due to inclement weather was talking to me prior to that encounter while I was working out on a machine and making small talk with me. So again there's contradictory behavior by the staff on being social and being friendly, which then confuses the patient when it's time to pay a bill that then the behavior completely switches and now you're being told you have to pay something even though you weren't there and had a really good reason for not being so what I'm getting at is that they try to be very social and kind of playful with patients but then contradict that kind of social relationship with a patient and then try to enforce very strict rules about billing. It's very confusing to patients and I'm the type of person where if I go to a business for physical therapy that's what I'm there for -not to play games and choose what food I want to eat or be socializing with a staff member who is then going turn around 20 minutes later and be rude to me and tell me how I owe them money when I wasn't feeling safe driving that day. It's not even about the money. It's about the principal. Are you playing these games to entertain your staff ? What is your true interest? Patients safety and well being? Your bottom line ? I left there feeling that I was not valued as a patient and do not plan to return.
