I first learned of neurofeedback from a friend who made it sound extremely compelling - almost too good to be true. At first, I didn't have much desire to try it as it sounded too good to be true, but I researched the subject anyway. I was surprised to find that the vast majority of neurofeedback reviews described it as a positive experience and even life-changing. I also came to learn that people such as Tony Robbins have undergone the neurofeedback and avidly promote it. Dave Asprey, a self-proclaimed "Bio-hackers" also raves about neurofeedback and its benefits and promotes it as one of the best things you can do for your well-being.
The fact that it has wide application for things such as stress, anxiety, and motivation convinced me that I needed to get a qEEG in order to get my brain checked out to see if there was an opportunity to perform better in my day-to-day functions. I have always tried to be generally healthy, but I also had some things that I would like to be improved such as motivation, ambition, ability to focus, etc. There was nothing that was driving me towards neurofeedback other than the desire to be better in my daily life. After researching different clinics in the Dallas area, I made my initial consult with Dr. Sattari at Quantum Holistic Health Center.
After having my qEEG, I came to learn that I had brain wave activity that was consistent with that of someone with mild brain trauma. This was surprising, to say the least, and it's hard to me to pinpoint when this would have occurred, but I trusted Dr. Sattari and what the data showed. I decided to follow her recommendation of neurofeedback + hyperbaric oxygen chamber sessions.
I believed that in order to get the most out of neurofeedback I had to go all-in. I prioritized neurofeedback and the hyperbaric chamber whenever possible and made sure I got adequate sleep the nights before neurofeedback. I was investing in myself and I wasn't going to compromise the experience.
Before neurofeedback I didn't have much drive at work, had a lack of ambition in my personal endeavors, and could never stay focused on one thing for very long. I thought it would take several weeks to start feeling any effects, but I started feeling the results after only a couple weeks. It started with being organized. One day I came home and had an almost uncontrollable urge to clean my apartment which I had been neglecting for some time.
This was just the initial effect. I just finished all of my sessions - around 50 - and the other effects include:
* I have a more general sense of calm and more self-assuredness in social interactions
* I now ask for what I want instead of just being handed things
* I now have a desire to take proactive control of my life
* I have new personal ambitions and increased professional ones
* I've started working on building and monetizing my own websites
* I work on personal business projects in my free time
* For entertainment, I prefer to read rather than watch TV
* I think of new ideas at work and for personal ambitions, whereas before new ideas were
few and far between
* I proactively go and experience new things instead of just thinking "It would be fun to do..."
Other than the benefits directly contributed to neurofeedback, it has also contributed to the desire to improve upon the areas of my life where I can - including health, wealth, and personal relationships.
The process of self-improvement is a never-ending one, and I cannot thank Dr. Sattari enough for all that she has done. read more
