He doesn't stop checking on his patient from time to time. He does all he can to make sure his patient is improving. The whole family loves him. Thank you always for everything and happy new year from our family to yours. I would give Dr. Al-Shareef stars!! He is very professional. We have been following up with him for one of my family members. He is the only doctor in the area who discovered the problem. We have been following up with so many doctors for no good results as if we are doing nothing. Dr. Al-Shareef knew about the issue through examining each and every part and through the MRI imaging. Now, since we knew about the main issue behind all this pain, the doctor explained the procedures and the solutions. He wanted to go step by step with all the medications before we end up doing the surgery. He is very professional and caring. He was able to give extra time and efforts. He cares about his patient. After my relative went back home, the doctor called him many times to check up on him and his health and the effects of the new medications. We will definitely continue with Dr. Al-Shareef because of many reasons. The main reason is his constant care. The location of the clinic is somehow far away from our home. However, we traveled all the way there just to continue with Dr. Al-Shareef. We are beyond blessed to find you! My father was blaming himself for not finding Dr. Al-Shareef from the beginning. I will keep updating my post to update you with the results. We are now happy to figure out the reason since we have been trying to know it since 2 years ago! Thank you Dr. Al-Shareef and all the team members at the clinic! They have very beautiful culture in this place. We found a very nice treatment, unlike other places.

This was a major issue but they have many more. For example it is impossible to get in touch with anyone and no one calls back when they say they will. I have asked five different times for them to send records to a different office and it has still not happened after two plus weeks. They do not have phone numbers for all of their different offices so you have to go through a system to get transferred but they made it nearly impossible to figure out extensions for all the different offices. The list goes on and on. The doctors may be good but their entire system, office management, and how they do things just isn't organized and they are flat out messy.

What a mistake. Expect to wait at least 30mins after the start of your appointment to be called back and expect to only see the doctor for 2mins. It really makes you and your concerns feel valued (sarcasm). From the start, the receptionist could have a better attitude and speak up because it's hard to hear her behind the glass when she's practically whispering. She's the first person you come in contact with so the impression should better. I have to give Dr. Ali credit for showing some compassion, but he needs to up his game when it comes to the concerns his patients make. If I say this medicine is exacerbating other issues, maybe prescribe something else instead of saying, "it shouldn't be doing that" and to just "hang in there." I was referred to an imaging center for an MRI and that was an even worse experience. All I can say is check your insurance. Make sure everything they do or recommend you get is cleared with your insurance BEFORE you get it done.

I began seeing Dr. Din back in March because I started having seizures in January. The only testing they have done is 3 EEGs and a general cognitive assessment. No imaging. No blood work. I had asked Dr. Din to fill out some short term leave paperwork for my job as it is extremely hard to even concentrate these days after having seizures for so long. When I came to pick up the paperwork, Dr. Din wrote that it was perfectly fine for me to return to work and driving with no restrictions. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me since I have seizures almost daily that get worse in correlation with my hormonal cycles. I asked to speak with a provider because I was confused as to why the paperwork did not support my medical history. The nurse practitioner came into the room, extremely hostile with her voice raised almost the entire time she spoke to me. What was said basically was that this office has been doing me favors in fighting with insurance for EEGs and keeping me on my medications. All EEGs have been normal, so wouldn't a different test be ordered? Apparently not because EEGs are all they have the capability to do. I don't understand how an epilepsy specialist can only use EEGs for diagnosing seizures. The entire conversation felt so dismissive and I am SO disgusted to know this is how they would treat someone just trying to get answers. Now I have to continue to take off even more work in order to be admitted to a monitoring unit. Fingers crossed that it can be soon, because I will NOT be coming back here.

My son has severe neuro deficits as a result of PANS and every specialist he sees agrees he needs it. When I was told he did, we made an appt. At the first appt, he said he wanted to do an EEG and an MRI to rule out encephalitis before prescribing him the IVIG he so desperately needed. We did both, paid for everything, and scheduled a follow up. At the follow up, he told I and my mother that the EEG and MRI were normal and that he could now prescribe the IVIG. He just asked that I call our insurance to get the criteria for IVIG to make sure it was approved. I called my insurance while there in the office and he even got on the phone to talk to them to try to get it approved. I found out the next day the insurance would cover it. I spent two months trying to get my son admitted into a hospital to receive the infusion because of his needle aversion. I was told Dr. Din didn't have hospital privileges and that I'd need to get another neurologist for a second opinion. We went through so much and I even got a second opinion from an oncologist who agreed he would benefit from the IVIG but that he had to discuss it with Dr. Din because they don't usually treat PANS in oncology. Come to find out, Dr. Din had privileges at Medical City the whole time and could have admitted him for the IVIG. When I called his office, he had his assistant tell me he no longer felt comfortable giving him IVIG and hung up on me. He didn't even have the nerve to tell me himself. I went to his office with a friend to ask why he changed his mind after he told us on two different occasions that he would prescribe it. He refused to answer our questions and only said he spoke with some fellow neurologists and changed his mind. He denied ever telling us he would prescribe it, denied that he ever spoke to the insurance company, even though I have the transcripts from the insurance company to prove it. Why would he discuss whether IVIG was covered with the insurance company if he never said he'd prescribe it? I got upset because he wouldn't answer my questions and absolutely raised my voice when he started lying to my face and said he didn't "want to" answer my questions. However, no one ever threatened him. He called the police saying he felt "threatened". When the police arrived they made sure he gave me my son's records and apologized for the doctor's behavior. They also suggested I take him to small claims court for the money I paid him. When I got home and reviewed the records, I was shocked to find he had also falsified his medical records. There were discussions that NEVER happened and recommendations he never made. He said I reported symptoms that my son has never had such as tics and things that would indicate a movement disorder which he doesn't have. None of my son's medical records show a history of tics of any sort. He said he spoke at length about NOT getting IVIG which was completely false. My mother who was with me at both appointments with him was aghast at the faked records. It's difficult to imagine a doctor treating people so horribly to the extent that he would falsify medical records. The worst part is he gave us hope and then ripped it away and, meanwhile, my 11 year old son just gets worse and now I have to start all over looking for another neurologist who will treat him. I will be reporting him to the state medical board and consulting a lawyer for small claims court to recoup the money we paid him for nothing.

His questions were not helpful in the purpose for the visit, which was to determine if further medical testing, or rehab, etc. was indicated. This appointment was not made for a psychiatric assessment or for psychiatric care. The appointment was made with the diagnosis already being delivered at the emergency room by the doctor on duty who recommended follow up care with a Neurologist to determine prognosis and course of action. Sadly, this emergency room doctor, who operates out of the same hospital, recommended Dr. Nguyen. The questions that were fired off in a 20-30 initial appointment which was intended to address a Radial Nerve Entrapment, were demeaning and appeared to be intended to shame and cast blame. "How far did you get in school?"; "Have you ever been abused?"; "What do you do for work?"; are a few examples. Since Dr. Nguyen was not acting in the role of Psychiatrist and was not prepared to offer any therapeutic component to aid the patient with the painful memories his questions triggered, then he was doing harm to the patient. All of this questioning plus a brief, minutes long physical assessment in which no further medical treatment was recommended, the injury would most likely heal on its own, was performed within less than 30 minutes. The patient was left reeling emotionally. I was a witness to all of this. I am 60 years old, a breast cancer survivor, abuse survivor, have 4 children, 2 of whom have congenital health issues. I have been to many doctors over the years for myself, my children and other family members. I have never had contact with anyone as reckless in his patient relationship, of course all under the guise of seeking information pertinent to the case. None of the information changed the initial diagnosis, projection for recovery from injury or any of the neurological concerns that the patient came to get help with. Even so, when the doctor gave the final paperwork, he listed the primary diagnosis as: 1.Childhood Abuse - 262.819(based on an affirmative head nod when the patient was asked if they had ever been abused) and 2. Mood Disorder - F39. So, the patient was given by this Neurologist a psychological diagnosis based on a few answers to verbal questions and a head nod. I have NO frame of reference for ANYTHING like this. I worry for the next vulnerable patient who happens to find themselves in Dr. Nguyen's examining room. I have a moral responsibility to warn others.

**Complaint Regarding Dr. Krupa Patel and Methodist Richardson Renner Gastroenterology**…read more My name is Chelsea Edwards, and I am submitting this complaint regarding my treatment and subsequent dismissal as a patient by Dr. Krupa Patel at Methodist Richardson Renner Gastroenterology. I have been a highly complex gastrointestinal patient under the care of this practice since approximately September 2024. My medical history includes significant gastrointestinal disease and multiple major abdominal surgeries, making continuity of care especially important. Due to the complexity of my medical condition, I have relied heavily on specialty gastroenterology care for ongoing management and treatment. Approximately six to eight months ago, I had a difficult encounter with a nurse practitioner within the practice. During that interaction, there was a disagreement, and I expressed my intention to file a complaint with the Board of Nursing regarding my concerns about that encounter. Following discussions with upper-level management within the practice, a decision was made that I would no longer see that specific nurse practitioner. However, I was specifically informed that I could remain a patient of Dr. Krupa Patel and continue receiving care through the practice. Following that incident, I had no further conflicts, confrontations, or negative interactions with Dr. Patel. In fact, I did not see or speak with Dr. Patel after that event. There were no discussions regarding concerns about my behavior, no warnings, no requests for a behavioral agreement, and no indication that my relationship with Dr. Patel was in jeopardy. In recent months, my health began to decline. I developed worsening esophageal symptoms and believed I required an esophageal dilation, a procedure I have needed in the past. As my symptoms worsened, I repeatedly contacted the office seeking assistance. Numerous telephone calls were made to the practice, and multiple portal messages were sent. These communications should be documented within the medical record and communication system. During this time, I repeatedly sought help but felt I was given inconsistent information and delayed responses. Despite my efforts, I was unable to obtain timely intervention for my worsening condition. What is most troubling to me is that I never personally spoke with Dr. Patel regarding my concerns. I was never given an opportunity to discuss my symptoms directly with her, nor was I informed that my status as a patient was under review. Instead, while actively seeking medical care for a worsening illness, I was abruptly informed that I had been discharged from the practice. If the physician truly believed that the therapeutic relationship had become irreparably damaged months earlier, I question why that determination was not made at that time. The practice had every opportunity to formally discharge me following the earlier disagreement involving the nurse practitioner. Instead, management specifically chose to keep me under Dr. Patel's care. It was only after I became ill and began requesting evaluation and treatment that I was suddenly dismissed from the practice. I am also confused by the language contained within the discharge notice. The letter reportedly stated that Dr. Patel would continue to provide emergency care for a period of 30 days. If my conduct was truly so problematic that dismissal was necessary, then it seems contradictory that the physician would still agree to provide emergency medical services during that transition period. This raises legitimate questions regarding the actual basis for the dismissal. Equally concerning is that I never received proper notice of the discharge in a timely manner. I was actively attempting to obtain medical care while unaware that the practice had terminated the physician-patient relationship. As a result, I was left without access to the specialist who had been managing my complex gastrointestinal conditions and was forced to seek alternative care during a period of medical instability. I fully understand that physicians generally have the legal right to terminate a physician-patient relationship when done appropriately and in accordance with professional standards. However, my concern is not merely that I was discharged. My concern is the timing, circumstances, and manner in which it occurred. As a medically complex patient experiencing active symptoms, I felt abandoned during a period when I was seeking necessary medical treatment. To this day, I cannot identify any interaction between Dr. Patel and myself that would justify such an abrupt decision. We had no personal conflict, no hostile encounters, and no discussions suggesting that she no longer wished to serve as my physician. Because of this, I am left with the impression that the decision may have been influenced by information or opinions unrelated to my direct interactions with Dr. Patel rather than based upon her own experiences with me as a patie

I've worked with this physical therapist owner before and some of the staff and have had really good experience at another company. However, at this new location I left my last appointment this week being told by the front desk girl, Claire, that even though there was flooding and inclement weather notifications on my phone on May 27 and had notified the office and the therapist on his cell phone, that I would not be able to drive over there safely, they were still going to charge me. Claire at the front desk told me that they would not refund me that charge because I was the only person that missed my appointment that day. WHAT?????!!!!! I told her that is wrong of them to do that and it was inclement weather. I even texted the physical therapist, a picture of the city of Garland notification saying not to drive unless you were evacuating an area. I don't understand how a physical therapy office would expect a patient to walk in that kind of downpour and possibly fall and then try to drive in heavy rain and then have to also walk through the rain into their office. I have my own business and I would never treat my clients that way when there's inclement weather. Their safety comes first. This sounds more like an office worrying about their bottom line and not about the welfare and safety of their patients. Just because other patients were able to make it to their appointment at different times of the day doesn't mean that the area that they were driving from has the same downpour we were experiencing on our side of town. My pic of this weather notification is attached. I had left a positive review on Google saying how much I appreciated this office and the work they do. So for this office to treat me like this is truly careless and appalling. What I also find very interesting. Is that when I arrived for my appointment this week they were playing a game where they had drawn a taco, a hamburger and pizza on a board on the wall and they wanted patients to say which one they would want to eat forever. I didn't really see what that had to do with physical therapy, but I played along. This kind of tactic with patients gives people the impression that it's a friendly physical therapy office with people that wanna have fun and make it fun for the patients. But then, the same girl Claire that told me that she was going to charge me for that missed appointment due to inclement weather was talking to me prior to that encounter while I was working out on a machine and making small talk with me. So again there's contradictory behavior by the staff on being social and being friendly, which then confuses the patient when it's time to pay a bill that then the behavior completely switches and now you're being told you have to pay something even though you weren't there and had a really good reason for not being so what I'm getting at is that they try to be very social and kind of playful with patients but then contradict that kind of social relationship with a patient and then try to enforce very strict rules about billing. It's very confusing to patients and I'm the type of person where if I go to a business for physical therapy that's what I'm there for -not to play games and choose what food I want to eat or be socializing with a staff member who is then going turn around 20 minutes later and be rude to me and tell me how I owe them money when I wasn't feeling safe driving that day. It's not even about the money. It's about the principal. Are you playing these games to entertain your staff ? What is your true interest? Patients safety and well being? Your bottom line ? I left there feeling that I was not valued as a patient and do not plan to return.
