(This is regarding services in 2013.) As Mark from Superior Storage left a comment regarding me not paying for storage for 6 months. That is not accurate at all . Please note. We received one invoice for $456.00 . We paid that invoice rather immediately. I had asked for copies of these "invoices" and way later when visiting, got a print out of truly very reasonable storage charges as we were friends ($250/mo). Mark told be directly that said he did not have my address. That is BS as well as we did receive the first HAND WRITTEN Invoice and PAID it.. Secondly, The way we found out that Mark was going to rid our belongings is he was talking with my sister about storage ( We had used Mark and his services previously). He told my sister that I was way in arrears. I called Mark upon learning of this. He informed me that I owed him $4000 for the one day of moving my belongings to storage. It was a long day as his crew offered to clear my attic not quoting me the cost for this because they said you get a special deal with Mark. I made his crew a BBQ dinner at the end! I should mention that on the phone prior to his doing this to/for me, he was sending initially over a crew and a van at an incredibly reasonably attractive fee as a result of our family relationship. That crew said they will send a bigger truck, but at no time did they quote a price. The crew did not have me sign a quote agreement because of my relationship and conversations with Mark. At no time did we agree upon a price nor was I quoted one. After I had called him, learning that I supposedly was in arrears, he assured me that he would not dispose of my belongings. I also gave him a credit card payment on account establishing an understanding that we would work something out of which he agreed again, assuring me that I could "sleep at night" and my goods were in good hands. I need to mention that he told me that he guessed 96% percent of this stuff was junks and he'd be doing me a favor as a friend to get rid of most of it. He went on to say how much money people spend to store junk. He also for the first time, told me that he was charging me $250/month for storage. This in all honesty is a great and very attractive price, But again, no invoices. I would have NEVER (nor do I think anyone reading this would), have committed to his services for $4000 for the move itself. The only way he took my calls thereafter is when threatened with a law suit. Other than that, he was not available. He then informed me that it was his partner that disposed of all of our families belongings not him, he would not have done that as he assured me. He also informed me that he had contracts with branches of government that took possession of goods belonging to drug dealers and so forth. He continued to say that a lot of this stuff was far better quality then mine and that he would try and make good by letting me look at anything I wanted, and he would then move furnishings that are really nice to my house. We parted in a friendly conversation his swearing up and down that it was not him who made the decision to rid my belongings Mark not only disposed of my furniture but all of my kids sports trophies, memorabilia, my professional Pilot Log books, ( Can not be replaced and is the only verification of my thousands of hours as a Pro Pilot. They (Superior Storage), junked almost all wedding gifts, family generated artwork, crafts and so forth. When my daughter and I went to his facility and learned then that our belongings were disposed of, his "partner" said that he would send the complete file to us. Just like we never got invoices, we never got that either. a positive note: Mark is very involved in his own charity where he raises money to give disadvantaged kids a chance at making it through various spots leagues and events that he sponsors. My mother had contributed to this several times as was part of the reason for our supposed favorable treatment. Th Believe me folks. Please look at all the reviews here, not just mine. What I say is absolutely true. I have used the services of other major brands and smaller firms as well since and have also written my impression, much more favorable than this operation. I would by no means have taken the time to elaborate if it were not the absolute truth and wanted to WARN people accordingly. This is what Yelp is about. As my original post stated, I did contact several independent attorneys to pursue this and was informed I did have a very legitimate case. I decided that it was just not worth my time and energy, especially residing 3000 miles away. The "right" thing to do would have been to obtain justice, especially for my kids. Sometimes it is better just to move on. Guide yourself accordingly when contracting this firm. -------- negative 10 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! worst company i have ever come in contact with!!!!!!!!!!!! when they say its cheap for a reason they are absolutely correct. do not be fooled be these people. i have used them multiple times just because they were cheap and i have paid the price. this last time was the absolute worst. i only used them this times because they were the company that previously moved my showcases from a mall to my garage for storage so i assumed they would be abe to move it to its next destination because they were already familiar with the showcase. the move was scheduled for yesterday between the hours of 12-3 i get a call around 10am that they needed to move the time back to 5. so i said that was fine. 530 nobody arrives i call and was told they were 15 mins away 630 nobody arrives i cal again and was told again they were running behind that they would be there in 15 mins. finally after calling another time they arrive after 7pm at night. when they got here and i opened the garage so they could use were to back the truck up the men started laughing at this point i was not amused at all. the one guy who came was actually one of the men that had previously moved it to my house so he knew exactly what the item was.when i asked them what was so funny they replied while laughing that they couldn't take it because they had no lift gate on the truck and it was fully packed. at this point i was beside myself for wasting a whole day and than dealing with this. i spoke with the company while the drivers were here and i was assured another truck would be at my house at 8am today. so not surprising at all was it when 8 am came and went and no one came. 845 i called and asked once again where the drivers were nd once again i was told they are 15mins away. so at 915 when still no truck was here i called again this time i was told they were refueling but not to worry because they sent me there best men. so lucky for me by almost 10am they arrive and again one of the drivers is the same one that was at my house yesterday and the same one that previously moved the item. so again i open the garage and ask them to back up and the guy tells me i brought four guys today so we will get this out quick. the other men come out of the truck and tell this guy the boss wants to talk to him. than he gets off the phone and says well i have soe bad news for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ummm turns out our trucks aren't equipped to move this kind of item long distance????????????this is what he says to move are you kidding me you moved it once new exactly what is was came to my house yesterday and seen the item again and new exactly what is was and where it was going and now you tell me ohhhh turns out we can't move this!!!!!!!!!!!!! this company is the biggest joke and they are the most unprofessional people i have ever dealt with when i called back to speak with the manager i was put on hold and left on hold!!!! listen to this and ever other bad review and just spare yourself pay more and get an actual real moving company!!!!!!!! read more

I own my own Phone Company & Ebay store. When I relocated I shopped around to find an affordable company to relocate my 40' X 10' space to a closer facility. Mark the owner told me he also had storage space and he was just across the River in Pa. I already priced other storage units before our meeting and was anxious to move quickly. When mark showed me his units I thought this isn't for me. Mark doen't like to lose a deal and he showed me his new section. I couldn't beleive this wonderful unit not the wooden ones they custom made but the chainlink caged style. 46' X 16' much larger than where I was rented before for a third of the price. I was so excited. It was like a small ranch. The warehouse sometimes can be very cluttered due to all the moving stuff in and out. Lots of the tenants don't pay and abandon there stuff so mark and his many guys recycle everything. I went back and the entire place was cleaned up. So don't let the mess's fool you. I don't know who all the previous reviewers are but I'm sure some may be from competitors. They are like no other. Mark installed electric in my unit with extra lighting and many extra outlets to test my phone systems. He gave me a large work bench and cart with wheels for free. I hired his guys to install heavy duty shelving. He is one of the most generous guys I know. He's not quick to kick you out if your behind on the rent . As long as he knows your good for it, I definitely don't want my stuff in the recycling bin. My boyfriend who usually spent $$$$$$ to relocate his 5000 sq ft home now uses Superior and no one else. I swear by them. Very professional. I just monitored his move a month a go.The team was very professional. They received $50 a piece tip for 8 guys. They also relocated his large 20,000 ft office and yes a few of the guys were agitated because of the complex cubicles they had to detach and reinstall. Most companys pay several thousand to specialized cubical movers but Mark does'nt like to turn work away. One of his guys was cursing and Mark fired him on the spot. Yes Moving guys sometimes curse. It's in their DNA. I have only witnessed that once. I have referred them out several times.Me and 2 of my friends now have 7 units. The price is so good it pays to get multiple units. I have one of the best ones. I may move soon but I'll always keep that unit even if I move far away. Their guys Tim Howard Brian T-Bone to mention a few are always friendly and help me move things in and out of my storage and don't expect tips. Mark says no tips aloud in the warehouse. I love those guys because I can hire a guy for about $79 an hour or $89 for 2 guys. You can get a lot done at home for these rent a guys. I'm thinking of getting new carpet and having them move my furniture out and then back in. Sorry for the long review but I was appalled at all the bad reviews. I scheduled a move with Superior based on a friend's suggestion, but was scared when I saw such a low rating on Yelp. As it turns out, the move could not have been better. The movers, Bill, Dave, and Felix, were so incredibly friendly and amazingly good at their job. They took such meticulous care with every single piece of furniture, even ones that had obviously been well worn and damaged by our children. They were so careful not to mark up any of our walls or floors. I don't even know how it was possible that they didn't leave any marks. I've left marks on the walls of our new house by just walking up the stairs, but these guys were carrying dressers and desks, and not one single scuff! From the minute they stepped in the house they did not stop working until the job was completely done, and they were insanely fast. Felix was able to park their enormous truck on a small street in a space not much larger than the truck itself with no problem. Dave noticed a loose part on a piece of furniture and glued it together without a thought. Bill even gave us a painting of an ice cream cone that he happened to have in the truck for our girls because he thought it went well with another picture we had in their room. That's what I call going above and beyond expectations! I cannot praise their work enough. They had no issues with several difficult pieces, and even when it looked like there was no way something was going to fit through a doorway or around a tight corner, they knew exactly what to do to make things work out. We had a little playhouse in our back yard that would not fit through the house, and I said I could take it apart and move it on my own later (though they offered to take it apart for me). Instead, they figured out a way to get it out by passing it over a wall into my neighbor's yard (after asking her permission) and out to the street. Simply amazing. Besides being incredibly congenial, they were very respectful to a point where I felt like assuring them that they did not need to keep calling me "sir". They were highly complimentary, and expressed a lot of gratitude for their tip and our business in general. They thoroughly explained all of the paperwork and worked so fast that they were done in less time than we had anticipated. They also asked a lot of questions while they were working to assure that everything was moved and placed exactly how we would like it. I cannot recommend these movers more. I am not sure why there have been so many other bad experiences on Yelp with Superior, but perhaps we just got the best of the best team. If you want to assure pure satisfaction on a day that tends to be incredibly stressful anyway, ask for Bill, Dave, and Felix, and prepare a good tip, because whatever they get paid cannot possibly be enough! read more

Folks.. Please proceed with great caution if you are really going to do business with this company. Why are there not negative stars to rate as they would be about a minus 5. As I have read other reviews and disregarded them because the people whom I spoke with at Superior prior, seemed to be great over the phone, rather charming actually. They told me that the negative reviews were not written by customers.. I ask myself, why did I listen to them over the phone and make a commitment? I went against my gut instinct and my wife wanted to use someone else Now I am paying for it big time. They charged way, way more than their quotation and never put anything in writing!!! I would have to say they the company and management ( Think the owner is Marc), does not honor the price or rate quoted, (Look out and beware).. They hold your belonging hostage until you pay what they demand at the time. They give you all sorts of excuses as to why the rate is high even though excuses are based on out right lies. They didn't put anything in writing. Serves me right for not asking them to!! I would say they are border line criminal and I bet that there is indeed merit to that statement. I have a pending law suite the question is if it is worth it. Superior Moving is the most dishonest and unprofessional moving company I have ever used and I have used several in my 60 some odd some years. Two rather expensive electrical units are gone. (they were neatly boxed!!) Some of my wife belongings... damaged ... also neatly boxed. . I do realize that that can happen regardless of who the moving company is it just adds more fuel to my frustration in dealing with this company. Ownership fails to return calls, they keep you waiting forever and will not pick up the phone when you tell them who is, calling, unless you are still in the shopping stage, then they are as nice as can be. Perhaps they will respond to an attorney, but who knows.. maybe not. My common instinct was to go with a "name brand" moving company. Why did I use this company l after seeing all the reviews here and Google? They were real nice over the phone, gave me a deal (actually said I am going to give you an amazing price that will undercut everybody are you ready?) It was amazing.. (or more accurately, a bit better) It seems as they have been around for a while and I am sure somewhere along the way, they did right by a customer or two. My very strong advice is to go elsewhere.. This was a Post from a good friend of mine today 3/5/20! This company is a joke and needs to look in to their employees and their customer service and representatives! I really hope no one else will be treated this way! I really hope the owner Mark Brenfleck has the decency to contact Jason O'Neill and apologize on behalf of HIS company's ignorance! Two "men" from this moving company were blocking both the handicapped ramp and Jasons car this morning when he had to leave. He asked them to move forward a little. They told him to fuck off and they didn't have time to move forward and he could just go around them. Jason called the company to explain the situation and the company told them there was nothing that they could do. Jason called me and I came out and again asked them to move. The leader of the pack had the nerve to walk up to me (I was standing next to Jason) and tell me to get the fuck out of his face and that it wasn't his fault Jason was in a wheelchair. After a few minutes of letting him yell at me and call me a cranky woman and to go back to sleep, he finally pulled forward and then sarcastically asked Jason if he needed help getting his wheelchair in the car. Jason declined and continued to go about his business. The two gentlemen proceeded to have a conversation clearly overheard that included "the nerve of these fucking entitled neighbors" Yes. The nerve of these "entitled" neighbors. The man in a wheelchair asked you to move forward and away from the ONLY wheelchair ramp on this side of the complex so that he could get to his vehicle and get in his vehicle that you were blocking. How fucking entitled. Here's an idea sir: don't think that because you are a moving company doing work gives you the RIGHT to the ramp and to block HANDICAPPED ramps that were built. That ramp isn't for your dolly, or your convenience. It's for the convenience of people who don't have the ability like you and I to walk up a step or two. It's for those who, like my husband, can't just "walk around" to the other side of the complex where there isn't a ramp it's just a step. My husband would have had to roll his wheelchair close to the length of two football fields in order to "go around" your truck and even then you were still blocking his vehicle. Considering you parked as close as possible to the handicapped ramp for YOUR convenience, who exactly is the entitled one here sir? read more

If there were less than one Star, this firm would be a very strong stay away. There are too many honest business people and some movers who live a life of principle and integrity. Not these guys. Although I have know them for years, every time they doid a job Ithe guys would charge me too much. I had to call the office to have them straighten it out. We are talking 100%! They have done very unscrupulous things, taking belongings, not honoring commitments, holding goods hostage. Lying about quotes they provide. The owner Mark will grab your ear and tell you about the valuable collection of items he has. I realized later how he accumulated all his "stuff", more than likely anyway. They gave me very good prices based on a long term relationship then denied (lied) about doing so. I could go on. They tried to charge me $4000 for a days work that was quoted much much lower, then never invoiced me as We paid the firs invoice promptly. Then 4 months later say " Oh, you owe us $4000 At no point was that ever mentioned prior to or after providing services. I contacted a Lawyer who was chomping at the bits to get these guys as I also looked up court dockets to see how many actually did sue them. Although they clearly made gross violations of the law, and I had a slam dunk case, I have at this point not brought litigation against them, although Statute of Limitations has not yet expired and I just may on a matter of principle. Oh, they will tell you that competitors write these reviews.. Simply not true. Stay away. Take heed in these reviews. Superior is operated and managed by borderline crooks, perhaps worse. Read the reviews folks. Please do yourself a favor! Don't be taken by really attractive quote presentations over the phone and seemingly nice guys! I've used Superior Moving twice. Once in 2010 and again on Mon, Nov 24, 2014. I was extremely happy both times. The first time they gave me 2 guys and were the cheapest and most accommodating of all the companies and over exceeded my expectations. When I called to use them again for my 2nd move, since I was a returning customer, they gave me 3 guys at an even cheaper hourly rate. They were upfront with me that if I moved at the very end of the month it would be more expensive so I decided on 3 days before Thanksgiving and was still super impressed with the rate. The initial phone call with, Robert (the manager), was easy and he asked me all the right questions about my move and furniture. The company kept in touch with me for the few days prior to the move to confirm everything and answered all of my questions completely. The day of my second move (11/24/14), I was sad and it was hard because I did not want to move, but I had no choice because the place I was renting sold so I had to leave. The Team of Bill P. including Julio and David, showed up. They were so nice, professional, friendly, respectful and down to earth, plus fantastic at their job. They made what was a very hard and sad day for me a great one. They asked questions and for my input to make sure everything was done right. They even moved items that they weren't moving out up from my basement and 2nd bedroom into my living room area where I needed it to be until I moved those items myself before I officially moved out a week later. They placed items I no longer wanted in the dumpster for me. They never complained once. They did a wonderful job moving all of my items and in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will use them again in the future, especially the Team of Bill P. read more

I was so impressed with this company. To be honest, I was nervous about hiring a moving company. I have heard so many horror stories and I had never used a mover before. I submitted a project request through Angie's List and a notification was sent to 4 moving companies. One responded that they did not have availability for my move date and two of them never even contacted me. Then I received a call from Mark who is the owner of Superior Moving and Storage. He was so nice and took the time to explain everything to me in detail. He was thorough and asked a lot of questions as to what we had to move. He gave me the rates and recommended a 4 person crew to get the job done as quickly as possible. He gave me a ball park estimate of what he thought it would cost and it seemed like a fair price. We decided to hire them based on initial first impression, the price, and the fact that we had a tight turnaround time. The movers arrived on moving day. They ended up arriving an hour later than estimated, but I was honestly fine with that since we were still packing up some last minute things. They also called me in advance to let me know of the delay which was helpful. The crew which was lead by T-Bone was the absolute best. These guys could not have been nicer, more polite, or more accommodating. And they handled our belongs with care. We were planning on having them just move the bigger items, but when there was still room on the truck they were asking us what else they could move for us. Things that we thought would be a huge hassle to move, they moved with ease. Nothing frazzled them and they got the job done quickly and efficiently. The price ended up being right inline with what we were quoted, so there were no surprises. These guys were top notch and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

Excellenct service from beginning to end. I sent an online inquiry and received a call within the hour. I was looking to have some furniture picked up from a factory to brought to my house AND have a large antique dining table moved into storage. Everything was scheduled at a time and on a day that worked best for me - I even had to call and reschedule because I had made an error. I was given a fair quote that was 100% accurate (it's always important to provide as much accurate information as possible when asking anyone for a quote). Morning of the move I received a call from Jose letting me know their ETA (right on time I must add). Jose and George arrived at the house after, having already picked up some of the furniture. They were friendly, upbeat, conscientious, well prepared and incredibly professional. Their teamwork was inspiring - I joked that they were almost finishing each others sentences. They took their time to evaluate the table and all its parts. Identified all the parts that needed to be separated. Labeled every piece with pre-written name labels. They wrapped everything securely - making sure to wrap up all hardware and secure it to the piece. The new furniture was carried in - making sure not to damage any walls or light fixtures. The table was safely moved out of the house to the storage facility. Colleen was ready when Jose called to tell her the job was complete and she was ready with the price (again, just what I was quoted). I had to call her right back with my credit card info and she was extremely accommodating. From start to finish, I am thrilled!! They really should change their name since there is nothing superior about this company. The guy who generally answers the phone is rude, then puts you on hold and you sit there for 10-15 minutes waiting for someone who may help you. I generally hung up and called back and then waited a shorter time. If I left a message, I was NEVER called back. They were hired to move a full house into 3 locations. The main location went fine, but somehow they lost an item. I'm not sure how, but they did and it was a family heirloom and part of a set. In order to replace the item appropriately, the whole set would have to be replaced and initially they said they would do that....the set they sent to replace it was garbage - literally falling apart when picked up and we refused the item. They apologized, and asked me to find a suitable replacement. When I did and sent them the link to a moderately priced replacement, i was told initially it would be fine, then that it was too expensive and they offered me less than half the cost. When I complained they told me basically to take it or leave it because the insurance package they offer pays only 0.60/per POUND... therefore it you have an item that is worth $1000, but only weighs 100 pounds, they pay you $60 dollars. I am sure this is their was to snooker people into buying a pricier insurance package.....ad they require cash only on delivery so you have no recourse. The men who actually did the move were nice and they did send the check promptly after they gave me the take it or leave it choice, which is why they get one star. read more

I have used Superior three times now. I used them in 2008 and twice in 2013. Now, I will be using them again next month. It was a no brainer for me. All three times, they showed up right on time and were ready to go. They came into the house, explained their policy as far as starting and ending times, asked questions and surveyed the home to see what was being moved, and then went right to work. All three times that I used them, they worked hard from start to finish. There was no standing around talking or wasting any time. Another thing I liked about them is how great they handled large and/or expensive pieces of furniture. I truly appreciated that. I watched them like a hawk as they walked each piece outside and into their truck. I wanted to make sure myself that they were being careful when packing the truck. I have a large size and extremely heavy tv armoire that has been moved twice now. Both times, they handled it with extreme care and with ease. And, I can't say enough great things about the owner Mark. When I spoke with him on the phone last week, I explained to him that I am a repeat customer. He then lowered the hourly rate quite a bit. Thank you Mark! I have called around to other moving companies in the area. They are all higher in price per hour and have a few hidden fees. With Superior, they have the best price around per hour, no hidden fees, and you receive complete professionalism. I highly recommend this moving company. You will not be disappointed! read more

For my own sake I wish to keep my real name secret for this post. I worked for superior moving and storage. This company is one of the worst moving companies out there. They hire lazy thieves and thugs from Philadelphia who steal on the job. Customers would come in weekly complaining due to stolen possessions. They overworked there laborers and were extremely understaffed. I was forced to empty and organize most of the trucks that came in to the warehouse by myself most days while the management refused to send a helper or lend a hand. A manager let his nephews come in to work and hired some young people who refused to cooperate or help move anything. After I got herniated cause I wanted to keep my job and get the work done the boss denied me my workers comp papers. After I set up a workers comp lawsuit against the company I had a series of doctors appointments. Every doctor told me I need CT scans because I most likely got herniated and I also tore all my ligaments from my waste down. I couldn't walk right for 2 to 3 months and still suffer from groin and testicle pains. The management laughed at me at the work place while I was on duty when they saw me limp. I did not complain but just did my work anyways ane reported it to the management when I knew what was wrong with me. ' This companies business methods are highly immoral and severely mistreats there workers so please do not support them or take business from them. read more

I think I called around to almost every moving company in the area. I've never hired a moving company before and everyone seemed sketchy. My building (Korman Residential) recommended Superior so I put my trust in that recommendation. I called needing to move across states ASAP and they were at my door with a truck the next morning!! Joe and Steve were awesome to work with. I felt like we were a team. For example, I asked them to pack the vacuum last so I could clean and get my security deposit back before leaving. They loaded up the truck with my furniture while I vacuumed and came back to get the vacuum to pack. We met at my destination and they unloaded everything carefully, making it fit in a small storage space. I learned form this experience that the most important thing in hiring a moving company is managing expectations. Most people underestimate how much stuff they have. I knew exactly how many items I had (I actually overestimated) and the quote was thus exactly what I paid. Other companies gave me lower estimates but I didn't have word-of-mouth or other recommendations so I couldn't trust them with my items and this somewhat blind pricing system. Mark was really easy to work with and we were able to establish my inventory in a fair way. I'm now recommending Superior to all my friends moving to/from Philadelphia. read more
