"That's $20," he said. Surprisingly I actually had some cash on me, but as I handed over the bill I'm thinking to myself "Wow, I wish I made $240 an hour." He got the job done within acceptable parameters, but I generally appreciate it when a business gives me an estimate of charges before performing the work. I could have bought new parts for around what he charged, and probably would have if I'd known up front.

It is an untouched survivor, a rare truck that sat idle since 1974. It is a very important special truck. I explained that I needed it to be as factory correct as possible. He understood the importance of the build and produced a beautiful engine. He cleaned the original 2 stage fuel pump to perfection. He kept me in the loop during the build showing me photos of the process. I was not able to be there when he ran it for its break in period but did send a video showing pressures and operation. The attention to detail was outstanding and the paint job was perfect. The engine ran perfectly. There was one slight leak that popped up ( happens) but Dan stood behind his work, fixed it and I could not be happier. I highly recommend Dan for his engine rebuilds.
