Edit: I'm dropping 2 stars because I have not been able to get in touch with them for over 2 weeks for a new project. Reliability is everything. Thank you for installing our palms today, Superior! We selected the trees on a Friday and they were installed on Monday morning (we had the option to have them installed the very next day). Greg was helpful, thorough, & patient with us. Three guys came out to install them in khaki shorts & their blue business shirts. Once on site, they were quick, professional, & clean. We have an irrigation system & they were careful not to damage it. Our two palms were installed in less than 2 hours & we were able to have them turned/tilted as desired. Now our backyard looks gorgeous & we're able to move on to the next step of our landscaping project. *Superior came out in 2012 to landscape our front yard & everything still looks great in 2015. read more

I thought I would provide an update for those getting ready for this spring. All the plants are doing very well except for the Gazangas (sp?). They all died. I do have to say that they stood by their warranty and came out in the fall and replaced them with Crotons. They lived up until a few weeks ago when the cold snap hit. I can't say that I will send them more of my business in the future...but I thought it was only fair to them and the review to provide the update. read more

The short of it: the folks at Superior seem very knowledgeable and we were mostly satisfied with the work that they did for us, BUT the process is PAINFUL because of their poor communication and lack of follow-thru. If you want to endure the pain of getting something done with them they will probably do a good job, but we will not put ourselves through that again. We were looking for a local landscaping company to redesign the landscape in front of our house and rework some beds extending around our pool area. As non-locals with a limited knowledge of Florida flora, we were also looking to establish a relationship with a business where we could go ask questions and take concerns when they arise. Though we got off to a bad start when Greg missed the first appointment to look at the work to provide an estimate (received a call to reschedule at the time he was scheduled to arrive), we did get an estimate in fairly short order and thought there were some good ideas. Unfortunately, this is also where problems began because Greg failed to capture in the estimate all of the work that he described needed to be done. We did pursue having the front re-done and the crew that did the work were efficient and did a great job (kudos to Cameron!). When we tried to have the remaining work done, though, the frustration commenced. Since the estimate did not capture the work that was described when the Greg viewed the beds, we couldn't get the work scheduled nor could we even get a revised estimate that included the work that needed to be done. Further, it took two months of emails and stop-ins at the business to even get confirmation that the estimate as written didn't include the work described verbally months earlier. Emails unanswered, phone calls unreturned, too busy to talk when we went to the business...all VERY frustrating. After about five months of trying to get all the work completed, our conclusion is that they're simply too busy to take care of their customers. That's unfortunate because I think that they really do know what they're doing. read more

Stay away from "Superior Landscape and Garden Center" except maybe for cash and carry of plants only. (which I won't do anymore of after this) I needed 6 yards of stone and 12 yards of dirt. I tried three times to give them my business. At first I thought it was just they didn't like me for some reason then I read other customer negative reviews and realized that it's just them. They say they will come, they say they will call but they don't do either. They just don't care. It's like a business being run by kids with no idea what to do. This would have been a very close, quick, easy job for them. Should really remove the "Superior" from the name. Don't frustrate yourself. Just call real professionals. read more

We ordered two beautiful sylvester palm trees for a great price. Delivery and installation was quick and professional. After a month on of the palm trees is leaning, I returned to superior and filled out a work order . The tree was never straightened. I have followed up with phone calls, but they never answer and the voice mail is full that never seems to be answered. So after 4 months the tree is still leaning ... read more

I have nothing but a professional, positive, wonderful experience with Superior Landscape. Not only has the communication been fantastic, but the timeliness of getting the jobs done has been incredible. Greg and his crew are some of the hardest, friendliest gentlemen I have worked with. Oh and did I mention patient.. I have changed out palm trees and added more bushes during the projects and i am always met with a smile and an assurance of quality service! We tried to do our research to find a trustworthy, reputable company to install our paver patio. While the initial visit went very well, and seemed too good to be true, things started going downhill. We were promised a design drawing for the layout of the patio and an estimate. We were emailed the estimate a few days later, but no design. After we inquired about the design drawing, we were sent a quick sketch on a napkin. After we looked through the product catalog, we picked the type pavers we wanted. We were promised that they would come over to use a garden hose to shape the exact design we wanted, and then give us a contract to sign. Days went by with no word from the company. We had to reach back out and were told that we didn't need the contract before hand, but if we wanted a copy he could email it to us. We asked for the emailed contract, which was promised to be emailed the next day...never received it. My husband took off from work not 1 but 2 days waiting for them to come by to design the patio shape with the garden hose. They failed to show up, when my husband inquired why they didn't show up, we were told there was a family emergency. We are VERY understanding people, but just call or text us to inform us as to what is going on versus not showing up. Finally he comes by, at dark with an extension cord to "shape" the patio. It was too dark to see anything, but we were promised they could do any shape or design we wanted. The next day, my husband and I took our own garden hose and shaped the patio to our exact liking. My husband even did a professional sketch of the patio design to scale, so there would be no misunderstanding. The patio was promised to be started and finished, cleaned, etc by 5pm on a Monday. Monday comes and two workers arrive at 9am to remove the sod and prep the area. Well, the stones did not arrive until about 3pm. Another day my husband wasted taking off of work. It poured that entire afternoon and throughout the night. That Tuesday they arrive around 9am and ask for my approval of the curved design. To my surprise, it wasn't even close to what we had laid out our sketched. Plus it was over 25 sqft smaller than what we were quoted and promised. The design was supposed to be a double curve, but what they laid out was more of a slightly straight squiggled line and another curve. I showed him a photo of exactly what I wanted, but he said their saw doesn't allow for curves like that. So 1) how do thousands of other people have curved patios? and 2) if it wasn't a possibility for them, why were we told it was no problem. We were told due to the heavy rain, that they couldn't finish the patio because the ground was too flooded, and they would ensure we got the curved design we wanted on Wednesday. Well when we arrived home Tuesday, the patio was done...not the design we wanted, and 25 sqft smaller than what we were promised. Upon calling the owner, we were told that the pavers we chose only came so many sqft per pallet. If we were told that upon the initial estimate, we would have ordered another pallet to ensure we had the patio of our dreams. Basically we were told there was nothing we could do about the design not being what we wanted, unless we spent more money to purchase another pallet of pavers to recut the stones for a more curved look. Our yard was left with concrete in it, sod ruined from the wheelbarrows, and sand just dumped all over the patio, instead of watered in the cracks and swept like how we were promised it would be left. The next day our patio started shifting apart from the wet ground, and because the sand that was put between the pavers and fence washed away. The edges of the "curve" were jagged and not flush. Not the professional job we thought we were paying several thousand dollars for. Another week passes, and they ask when my husband gets off work so they can come by to repair the perimeter. Then they text and ask if he can actually leave work early (again) so they can work on it earlier in the day. Another 2 days passes. They finally arrive today, and the foreman promises he will stay onsite while the repairs are being done. Well 5 minutes later, I see the foreman drive off. They put concrete around some of the perimeter, though it has already washed away from one side by the fence. They "fixed" some of the uneven edges, but now other edges are uneven. I'm so sick to my stomach that we paid so much money for a job that looks so unprofessional. We are so unhappy and no longer even want to go in our backyard. Due to my daughter's medical issues, we have been saving the past few years for our dream patio to make our backyard oasis, now it has become our backyard nightmare. The miscommunication, failure to follow through on promises, and lack of professionalism has been outstanding. read more
