I was looking for pine bark mulch nuggets to add to my landscape at home, and with this business being so close to Nocatee It made sense to work with them. My first contacted the company through their website and was immediately contacted by Heather in their Ponte Vedra location on Route 1. They coordinated delivery of a 70 bag pallet of pine bark mulch at a very reasonable price and coordinated delivery right to my driveway, exactly where I wanted it. Pricing was very reasonable, comparable to the big box stores, but with better service. The quality of the mulch is excellent, just the color I wanted. Mulch & More on US 1 in Ponte Vedra has always been my go to place for pine bark mulch. I'll pick up 2 cubic yards in my truck if I need a little or have them deliver it if I require a lot of mulch like this week. Their delivery costs are very reasonable and it's more convenient then driving back and forth getting 2 yards at a time. Since my boys are still home from college for the holidays this week I purchased 8 cubic yards on Monday to take advantage of the not so free labor. After realizing my yard needed more mulch than I thought I was able to order another delivery for Wednesday morning. Most of the time next day delivery is possible if needed. Everyone that I've worked with at Mulch & More over many years has been extremely nice and helpful. The chips are always great quality and different sizes of pine bark are available. I purchased about 18 yards of mulch and had the guys deliver and lay it. The price blew away the competition so I was prepared to maybe not get the best service. Boy, was I wrong! Joe brought the landscapers out, walked the job and explained in detail what he wanted them to do. They went above and beyond by raking out a few bags of leaves and weeds to ensure the best possible foundation for the mulch. I couldn't have been more impressed. Go see these guys! read more

Our delivery required 2 trucks. The first was due between 8 & 8:15 so I had 3 people here to start spreading the mulch at 8. The first truck arrived at 8:30 which was not a big problem. It took about 3 hours for the 3 workers to spread all the mulch. During that time, I was expecting the second truck. I called the office and was told the truck was delivering other orders. For 3 hours, my men had nothing they could do but sit around. If you need more than one truck load, get it delivered a day ahead of time. You will not get the loads back to back. The mulch looks very good, but my labor cost was almost twice what it needed to be. If I would have had the company send their crew, I seriously doubt there would have been a 3 hour down time, read more

First time ordering mulch (large pine bark) from them. I was very impressed. I have used a different company over the years but the mulch from Mulch & More was much better with no garbage and the pieces were all nice size pieces of pine bark. Another review is warranted bc the response from the owner is completely false. When I called the first time I explicitly said 3 neighbors wanted to to install together to save money. And no one mentioned this wasn't possible until I called to schedule install. So that's their issue for not stating that from the get go. I did in fact schedule an install knowing it would take weeks for them to come out. And the owner neglected to call at all when the crew was a no show. It did not rain that day so he's a liar. It might have rained a day or two before in which case they should have known my install date would be moved. When I called to confirm the day before he said I was in the second batch not the third. And when I called because they were a no show at 4:30 pm I never demanded they come out that night. That is a bold face lie. They close at 5 so they were going to close out the day without even a courtesy call because the "crew must have forgot." That's the owner and manager responsibility to communicate but they lack that skill apparently. They are indeed unprofessional and arrogant. They think their "lower" prices makes it ok to be unprofessional. Not in my book. And the neighbors that were going to use them are taking their business elsewhere as well. Let me reiterate they said to me that I would regret not using them, they're even threatening people and posting literal lies as a rebuttal. I'm sure my business is inconsequential to them bc they're so busy even with their garbage customer service but I'd be willing bet lots of others out there have been on the receiving end of their unprofessional behavior. read more

I'm a repeat customer of Mulch and More. For the past 3 years, we've used them as a provider of bulk mulch a couple times a year, as it is less expensive than buying bags of the stuff. We've had them deliver cypress, pine straw, and various sizes of pine bark mulch as our tastes and needs have changed. They deliver to your door for a reasonable delivery fee (which we do). I have also seen people bring their pickup trucks and watched their loaders fill up the rear bed. I've gone onsite and ordered with the folks at the front desk, as well as called in my orders. If you know what you want, I do recommend calling it in. Their office at this location is basically a trailer on a stone lot surrounded by mountains of different mulches. It's not a site that you're going to wander around, particularly if you get there when they're loading up their delivery trucks. The only other thing I'd suggest for a homeowner, if you're ordering a bunch of stuff, is to confirm whether it will fit on one truck. One of my first orders, I was experimenting with aesthetics in the yard, and ordered yards of mulch as well as numerous pine straw bales to cover a large area. I didn't realize until I got the bill that because of the way it loaded up (the bales are light but take up space) it actually took two deliveries to get it to me. read more

If zero stars were available that would be what I'd rate this business. They are hands down the most unprofessional business we've ever dealt with. They like to brag about how they supply lots of installers and maybe they don't care about smaller residential customers because it's smaller jobs but then they shouldn't take those jobs or at the very least be transparent and follow through. They did not show up for a job and didn't even have the decency to call. We thought they might be running late and wait and finally had to call shortly before they closed because no one called to let us know they weren't coming. Absolutely unacceptable. I would gladly pay more to a business that treats their customers with respect and returns calls in a timely manner. They should look into customer service courses. The owner is so bad he passed off the phone to another employee and was belligerent and very arrogant, their operations manager was no better and it seems like their office people don't even know policy on what's possible. Save yourself a headache and run in the other direction and look elsewhere for your mulch and more needs. read more
