Unfortunately, our experience was not a good one. Our 1.5 year old female bulldog - the sweetest one we've ever had as part of our pack - came home with 1st & 2nd degree burns on her neck from wearing a shock collar we didn't provide or authorize. We discovered the collar while preparing to bathe her as soon as we got home as the dogs usually don't smell great when they come home from any boarding facility. That's just the way it is and we understand this. As we took off her walking harness - which she clearly wore the whole time we were gone as her skin - and her regular collar with ID tag, We found a shock collar that was so tight it was extremely difficult to remove. It had penetrated her skin and then I found the burns and all the blood which I thought was just brown dirt! We immediately took her to our local ER Vet Clinic (Arise), where she underwent testing & treatment. We believe she will make a full recovery but the burns and infection that resulted are very real and very serious. Big shout out to the Arise veterinary staff & Dr. Swanson in Queen Creek, who were all amazing, btw! We checked in with Scott on multiple occasions during our weeklong trip and each time he said the dogs were doing great and no trouble at all - which is consistent with every other boarding update we've ever received. So, you can imagine my fury when I came home and discovered the shock collar and the damage it inflicted on my dog! (Photos from the vet attached & the shock collar left on her). We have NEVER heard of a doggy boarding facility employing shock collars let alone abusing their use!

I'm a very particular pet owner and worry a lot when leaving my pets -- you read so many horror…read morestories online and I've had a bad experience in the past. Amy was wonderful with my questions and I felt very reassured she would be responsible and very careful with doors when coming in and out. Amy has watched my dogs several times over the last few years and has done an excellent job. This last time, my little dog had a medical issue while I was gone and she contacted me immediately. I asked her to take my dog to the emergency vet, which she did and kept in contact with me throughout. Amy was right - it was a medical emergency and I really appreciate that she recognized there was a problem and contacted me quickly. She worked with the vet to coordinate pick up time after my dog was able to come home. I also spoke with the vet several times, who commented how impressed she was with my sitter and asked for her business info. I also have cameras on the outside of my house and could see the care with which she handled my little dog both going to and from the vet. On this same trip, my flight got delayed multiple times and at one point it looked like I might not make it home that day, and Amy kept in touch with me to ensure we had a plan if I wasn't able to get back. There are a lot of pet sitters out there but I feel like Amy is especially professional and responsible. She has taken pet medical care training and has a pet first aid kit she brings when caring for pets. She had left this here on her last visit and my dogs were so excited to see her when she came to pick it up -- always a great sign! My little dog loves everyone but my big dog is a bit more particular, but he loves her! I've also recommended True Blue to friends who have used her services and been very happy. I feel confident that my pets will be safe and well cared for by Amy / True Blue Pet and absolutely recommend if you need someone to watch your pets!

She's highly trained, emotionally intelligent and allows the dog time to trust her and open up. Recently, Emma became a foster for the rescue I volunteer with. She welcomed not one, but TWO euth listed Dogo Argentinos into her to help decompress, train and build up. One of the foster dogs had major medical, which she of course stepped up to ensure she gets to medical appointments. Emma is just an all around honest, good person and great dog trainer and boarder! My son jumped on him and it startled him and he reacted. It wasn't a super bad bite and Obviously it wasn't out of aggression but a bite is a bite and we knew we had to do something or I was going to have to get rid of our dog. Within 10 minutes of working with her I could feel the energy shift and suddenly this trust that was lacking formed and we had control as the owners again. After 7 weeks it's a completely new dynamic. Our dogs are still themselves but every bad habit is corrected. I had my garage door open and the door to our house open for 3 hours the other day and they both just sat there not once leaving the threshold. Anyway when I didn't reply back to that she said " thanks for letting me know! Human decency would be at least a reply ". And then I'm assuming she blocked me because all other texts to her were left unread. I was just trying to clear things up. Then my wife left a comment on her business Instagram account explaining how weird the whole situation was and she blocked my wife and then used her personal social media account to send this attached message. She insulted every member of my family for no other reason than she refused to explain a situation and dodged any interactions.
