We also enjoyed the crawfish queso and would recommend but it should have been a bit warmer (we had it with crostini). We took the pie to go and not home yet. Lol. Absolutely worth the hype. Well done.

We arrived on a Sunday at 11:45am. So right in the middle of the brunch rush. We were quoted a35 minute wait but was seated sooner. We ordered lunch. I got the chicken pot pie my partner got the bbq bayou burger and we split an order of the crawfish pie with red beans and rice. Both plates were served with a salad. Service was great! Jack was our server. He made some excellent recommendations!! The chicken pot pie had a kick to if so fyi....Everything was delicious!! Turns out we got and order of the boudin pie instead of the crawfish pie but it was delicious! He did bring us out a crawfish pie to try (not pictured) and it was also excellent!! The red beans and rice were the best I've had. And I've done a red beans and rice tour in NOLA and this was the best I've had!! We rounded out our meal with the Eye of the Tiger pie. And holey moley!!! The best finish to our meal!! They also have a great craft beer selection on draft. The only downside to this place is the parking is not great and there are only two bathrooms that are unisex. But heck....I'll be back every time I visit BR!!

I hate writing negative reviews because the cakes at Cake Goddess truly are delicious. However,…read moretheir customer service and policies have completely changed my mind about ever ordering from them again. I placed an order on a Thursday for a very simple 8-inch cake -- no fondant, just basic icing. Only two hours later, I called to change the pickup date and was told the "process had already been started," so absolutely no changes or refunds could be made. For such a simple cake order, that response felt unreasonable and inflexible, especially given how quickly I called back. A little customer service and understanding would have gone a long way. It's disappointing because the quality of the cakes is excellent, but policies like this make customers feel unvalued. Unfortunately, this experience will keep me from ordering from them again.

I have ordered custom cakes from Cake Goddess before, and I was always happy…read morewith the outcome, but the customer service has always been a bit rushed; so in order to have the time I felt I needed, since I wanted to order a custom wedding cake, I scheduled a consult, which cost me $25. On the phone, the girl asked me how many people were going to be there and which 5 flavors of cake we would like to try. She also asked me where the wedding venue was (so I assumed at this point that they would deliver.) I did explain this was going to be a custom cake, and it would only be me at the consult, and that I only needed the two flavors (almond w/white and yellow w/chocolate.) When I arrived, I sat down with the consultant who brought over two cupcakes (almond w/white and yellow w/white - which was NOT correct) but, no big deal - I know their cake is good. Then she proceeds to pull out wedding cake sample books. I explained again that I did not want a traditional cake, but a custom cake and began to show her the design. At that point, she seemed less than interested, and explained they do not do edible images, so I pivoted and gave her another design that they could do with piping and fondant. She didn't give ideas, she didn't offer solutions, she just sat there like she was bored. She then told me that they would not deliver a cake that was not three tier or more. So I was supposed to come and pick up the wedding cake while I was in the middle of getting ready for a wedding? Why even ask for the address then? At this point, I decided to just go elsewhere. The attention to detail was poor, and the enthusiasm for a sale was poor. I also suggest that when scheduling a wedding cake consult that one say up front that there is no delivery (I would have even paid extra. Price was not the issue.) If I had know that, I wouldn't have wasted my time or money.

And fish-shaped taiyaki or bunggeobang pastries that feature custard or red bean filling--warm and sweet with a crispy exterior. The ube cookies were the only items that didn't blow my mind as the ube flavor was lost amongst the food coloring and white chocolate chips. The ube ice cream however was solid, with a mild and lightly sweet earthy flavor similar to taro or matcha. 8/10 recommend especially if you've never had bingsu or ube. My favorite was definitely the fish-shaped pastries, a very impressive replication of the Asian street snacks sold in the wintertime.

I also got a custard stuffed taiyoki that isn't pictured and it was DELICIOUS just watch out for hot custard burns!
