I've been a customer at a competing chain for well over a decade, and my experiences there were mostly good, but there were enough "wow, this is a bad haircut" experiences to prompt me to try another place. I happened to be in the same shopping center, and decided to stop in to see if they could accommodate me. They were able to do so immediately. The staff was very professional and friendly, and the haircut I received was as expert a cut as I've ever had. The employee doing my haircut asked if I preferred a scissor cut or a clipper cut. I told her I have no preference, and asked her to do whatever is easiest for her. She proceeded to give me a full scissor cut. The end result was great! I was also very appreciative of the "how towel" service at the end. The employee uses a hot, moist towel to clean up all of the hair fragments from customers' necks, cheeks, and ears. This was a really nice surprise, and a really nice touch. I've been back twice since, and have received both full clipper cuts, as well as combination scissor / clipper cuts, and each has been perfect. Ok. So why have the ability to set an appointment time with a certain stylist and go through all the online thing so we can avoid waits. Only to get to the appointment early 5:35 for a 5:45 appointment just to be told to wait because she's on lunch and has a color to rinse before you. So needless to say the check in feature and time set up is worthless. I still had to wait 15 extra min and I know it's not a long wait. Updated: Mercedes was my stylist. She is the store manager. I went twice and she did a great job both times. The first time I went there I saw a few things that needed fixed. This is a walk-in salon. You can not make appointments weeks in advance, but if you call in you can make an appointment for the same day. This is key because it will save you time sitting in queue and waiting for your turn. Totally key for making this a quick easy experience. We were in twice in one day; early morning and late afternoon. We had a great experience both times. My daughters needed trims only, nothing too spectacular, but important nonetheless. We were all treated great and the girls were very pleased with their cuts. The shop is clean, comfortable and the staff is friendly and efficient. This was a great stop and we will likely be back. Got a shag/wolf cut a few months ago and came here to have it re-done. Showed my stylist a picture of my own hair styled and un-styled of how it should look and she said "so a layered bob" thought she just didn't know the name for it so I agreed, figured she would just recreate the picture i showed her because i was very specific about what i wanted. After the first cut I already knew something was wrong and I was given a very short blunt bob and now i look like edna from the incredibles. It is partly my fault for not properly communicating but it is also the stylists fault for not doing literally anything similar to what i had showed her in the picture. When she had asked if the length was okay it was already too short and i said it was okay because what was saying no going to do, make my hair longer? she also offered to trim my bangs, I agreed and figured she would keep the face framing I already had since it was a trim and she didn't mention changing the type of bang i had and now i have very blunt uneven bangs that go straight across my face. I went to Supercuts on March 2nd (sorry for the late review) after a hospital stay and wanted to get my hair cut for an upcoming surgery. My hair was ratty and just an awful mess, but Mercedes was up for the challenge. She cut my hair exactly as I showed her I wanted it and made sure to talk with me through the process to make sure it was exactly what I wanted since it was a drastic change. She was very nice and personable and did the most amazing job! I am glad I sat in her chair and will continue to do so. this place is a joke! I waited an hour to get my hair cut after being told is would be 45 minutes. I sat there and not one of them acknowledged me the whole time. A call ahead had came in and was taken, I still was not acknowledged that he was a call ahead and I would be next. Really .. now that is what I call RUDE!! Haircut wasn't that bad, the service is pretty much the opposite of what I expect for a barbershop/salon etc. The lady paying when we walked in was having problems using her gift card, the stylist stood there visibly annoying while repeating "the computer says it's not accepting it. Didn't ask to see the card, or anything, just stood there while the lady swiped it about 5 times, gave up and paid with a CC". On to our haircuts, we told the stylist who greeted us we were after 2 haircuts, one for me and one for my son. She went ahead and cut my son's hair, then there was the awkward pause and I was like uhhh I still wanna get my hair cut as well. She yells to the back, out comes stylist #2, visibly annoyed as well at being tasked with work. She asks what I want, then has me find it in a book, we settle on a style. As soon as I plant myself in the chair, she resumes asking me how I want my hair cut. "Like the picture" isn't the right answer, I have to repeatedly tell her how long on the top, on the sides etc. I mention I don't really care, just shorter please. She stops repeatedly to ask more questions till I'm at the point where I would have shaved my own head just to leave if the clippers were in reach. I get that customers are picky, and it's a difficult job at times. I would bet that I said "About half of how long it is now" probably 10 times over the course of the haircut. Entirely more annoyance than it's worth. I was extremely clear that anything near half of it's current length would have been acceptable, but no, we had to play 50 questions. read more

I decided to give this place another chance about two months ago as I'm a creature of habit (and I just didn't like some other places where I got my hair cut). I gotta say I'm pretty impressed with the turn around. Almost all of my previous complaints have been taken care of. There are quite a few new staff, but they are very friendly and skilled at cutting hair. What I like best is they're not pressuring you to buy products you don't need.
