The staff here is very friendly. The place is super clean and well decorated. Got haircut and shampoo from Lizeth; she gave me a very good head massage ; Lizeth has a fun and friendly personality; would recommend her and this location to everyone. I went in to get a hair cut and high lights, she told me it would cost 45 all together.. she made a mistake on my hair, gave me a 0 on the side instead of a 2 like i asked.. then the high lights.. my hair is ORANGE! who the f wants orange hair .. she was rushing me out because there was another customer waiting.. i told her she needs to fix this right now. she refused to do so , so I gave here $10 bucks and left then she tried to stop me for not paying the full $70 amount.. oh thats when it got ugly .. really I need to pay $70 bucks at super cuts for a hair cut and high lights? on a guys hair? short FoHawk? This place should be called "Stupid Cuts". I went in there recently to get a trim. I don't remember the name of the girl that cut my hair but she needs glasses. I thought everything went fine until I got home and my husband pointed out that my hair was not straight at all. She had cut my hair at an angle. I had to go somewhere else to have it fixed. The price at Supercuts is very reasonable, and the service is great. Aside from being very attentive with me, Lizeth is a great hair stylist. I enjoy getting my hair cuts from her. I can't recommend this location of Supercuts enough. After a horrifying experience at a salon down the street where they would not even acknowledged we walked in, we came to this warm, welcome location. We were greeted immediately and asked what type of service my son wanted. We didn't even have to wait for my son to get his haircut. And a bonus, the woman who cut his hair did a fabulous job. A shampoo is only a few dollars more. I highly recommend it. Very friendly. Genuinely wanted to do a good job. And were happy for the positive feedback. Easy parking. Clean salon. I needed a trim that wouldn't cost very much. I also was short on time. Based on those three factors I am rating five stars. I got a trim (no wash) in 15 minutes. I only waited about 5 to get seated. It cost $20 including tip. She gave a few product recommendations that seemed genuine, though I didnt buy anything extra. My bf gets his hair cut here and has, on more than one occasion, said it wasn't very good. I try to tell him to go somewhere else but...he goes back like maybe it will be better next time. I used to feel the same way about milk. But the pain speed when I stopped drinking it. So maybe soon he'll realize it can be better. We'll see. read more

Liz does an amazing job cutting my son's hair. His hair is not easy to cut. Most stylists don't know how to deal with it and won't listen when I tell them what works best. Liz listened and we have been coming back to her ever since. My son enjoys coming to her and is able to style his hair after her cuts. I would definitely recommend a visit to Liz. Worst experience. Almost cried out of frustration. I asked for bangs, brought in a picture of what I wanted. Hairdresser went on to tell me "we'll see." I've had bangs before in my life and let her know this.She goes on to talk about The texture of my hair over and over (lady I am aware of what my hair is ). Long story short she cut the front of my hair as if she was cutting bangs and goes on to tell me that she'll make them shorter. Guess she got cold feet bc then she tells me its a bad idea because I wouldn't be able to read or work or see with the bangs on the picture I brought in. When I brought up my concern that it looked uneven (it literally looks like she cut straight bangs but under my nose. Credit where credit is due, She did good on the back part, but then She was aggressive with the comb, and pulled my earring twice on one side. Grinding a brush into my scalp. She then went on to thin out my hair from the back to make "it look more even" in the front so now the front and the back of my hair looks off and I end up paying $22 for this botched haircut. I know bangs are scary, but if you're not comfortable doing them, have someone who is and is willing to do what the customer is requesting. I will not be coming back. read more

This is for the location on Newport ave. Wow, this place sucks! I came in with long hair. Lady gave my hair a nice wash. But when it came time to cut it, she didn't follow my specific instructions to keep the hair in front a bit longer since my hair was thinning around the front already. I don't know what her problem is, either she has difficulties understanding english or she did it on purpose. No tip from me thats for sure. Definitely not coming back again. Came in for my 9 year old son to get a haircut and they did a good job. I've been to a lot of places where it was a hatchet job. Price is a little on the high side for a simple kid cut but cheaper than one of those kiddie places. I'd recommend this place for a boys cut. read more

I went on Sunday Afternoon at 2 o clock for hair cut. First i observed was, very unprofessional staff!! After me sitting for 10 minutes, an old Asian lady come to me - and ask very rude manner - Hair cut? I was like, yeahh!! Then i requested her to see if they have my records in their system what kind of hair cut i generally have at super cuts - as i have been to various saloons of super-cuts and they maintain your record via your phone-number. She said very bluntly WE DON'T HAVE SUCH SYSTEM. Then i said, that's fine i will explain you again. She said com in, and sit on the chair. I kindly tried showing one picture of mine and wanted to request her the specific types of hair cut. She rudely said again - SIT FIRST. I was like calm down lady!! And then before i even explain her, she asked you want tiny, medium or long. I said medium but i specifically wanted her to do Scissors Cut and not wanted the machine cut, but she ended up using machine. SHE DID SUCH A BAD JOB i can't even explain. I was mad. She was not able to understand what i was trying to say. She was not good at her job. That old lady was rude, manner less and she just wanted to wind up the job in 5 minutes. the first time i came for a haircut the stylist did a great job. i was very satisfied. i came in for the second time for a haircut on saturday 4/15/2019 when the salon opened at 9:00 a. there were two stylists at the time. neither were the first stylist that had cut my hair prior. one named maria and one named elizabeth. one was young and one was older. i was the second customer in line. the younger stylist began cutting a man's hair and the older one began to cut mine. i am an african american so i had products in my hair. which most individuals who cut my hair are usually still able to cut without washing my hair, especially when i am just having my hair faded and tapered. which is what i wanted this salon to do. at this salon that is not the case. before the older stylist began to cut my hair she asked me what i wanted. i demonstrated the areas, what i wanted which was a taper with fade,and what size to use for the cut. she began to cut my hair and began to go up a little higher. asking me if that is how far i wanted her to go. she said that she needed to wash my hair. so she washed my hair. after the wash she began to cut my hair. my hair is a low cut and i really want my hair to grow. she began cutting alot off the top of my head. i told her right when she did it that i did not want her to cut that part of my hair. she said to me that i did not that to her. i said it to her and i demonstrated to her. since she had already chopped off my hair she had to finish. i couldn't even ask the other stylist to fix the cut because it could not be. i did not have a choice. i have worn a short cut before, but that is not what i wanted that day. she did not even cut my hair evenly when she finished. she tried to wipe the hair off of me afterwards and i told her to stop. i went ahead and paid her the chump change $25 that she so desperately needed but did not deserve. nor felt she needed to refund since i am very unsatisfied. i have cut my own hair and other men's hair better than what she did. without going to school or having a license. she said thank you. i walked out thinking yes thank you is right and she is lucky that she is still breathing. i understand that people make mistakes and possibly have some issues or things on their mind. as well as, some do not know how to cut african american people's hair. if she does not know how to cut african american's hair than she needs to say that and doesn't need to do it or needs to go back to school. all cosmetology schools seriously need to teach everyone how to do african american's hair before receiving a license. i was livid. i took pictures and sent a grievance. read more
