Went in for a simple shampoo. The stylist didn't even brush my hair out afterward--just blasted it with a blow dryer and tossed it around, leaving it completely knotted. I have very thin hair and have been dealing with hair loss, and the amount of hair I lost when I got home and brushed it out was honestly devastating. To make it worse, I was charged $11. After leaving, I called three other Supercuts locations and all quoted $9 for the same service. Careless service and overcharged. Definitely disappointed. read more

I got a cut here in December. I have straight fine hair, and I just wanted a shoulder-length bob - same length all around. I can't see well with my glasses, and I *thought* it was okay. But when I got home, my husband took one look at me and said "what did they do to you? It's all different lengths, shaggy looking". I looked in the mirror and saw he was right. I tried calling, finally got the manager, and she said "come in, I'll redo it". Well, I got busy with life, so I didn't go back in - didn't make an appointment til last week - mid March. I was fully willing to pay for another cut. So, I made an appointment with the manager, and got there 10 minutes before I was supposed to get my cut. And I waited. And I waited. For an HOUR. I signed in on the computer they have on the front counter, and I SAW her glance at me, so she KNEW I was sitting there, but she never acknowledged me. After an hour, I got up and walked out. The following week, this past week, I made an appointment with Arizona Hair Company. I got a GREAT haircut from them, and I think it was cheaper than what Supercuts charged me in December. Generally, my appointments with Supercuts had been favorable and I'm satisfied when my hair gets cut by Savannah. Today was very disappointing as I've set myself for an appointment for 12:40 but came in much earlier (12 noon) in case they have an earlier slot that might be available. There were a couple of walk-in customers without appointments that came in after me that were helped first. 12:40 pm came and Savannah was still helping someone at that point and I patiently waited until it was done (12:55pm). I thought I would be helped next given that I came earlier if I were to be considered a walk in, and I also had an appointment and it's already past that and she still assisted someone else who came in after me. It was a waste of time and the customer traffic could have been handled better. The booking appointment through the app came in increments of 20 minutes. If that is something you can't realistically meet, then that should be adjusted otherwise, it is inconsiderate practice to make people wait for that long. read more

What a great family-owned business! I've been taking my disabled daughter to see AJ for a couple of years now and AJ is always cheerful, pleasant, and kind to us (when most folks are not). AJ has become a valued member of our "family" and my daughter eagerly awaits her haircut every 5 weeks! There are lots of secret discussions that happen between my daughter and AJ while sitting in that chair! The salon staff are always very personable and there is nary a wait! She is who I make appointments with every six weeks. During the pandemic the store was safe with all the precautions and continues to do so. I called at 9 am and spoke to the must rude and vulgar employee - who happened to be the manager. Her name is Kelsey. Avoid her at all costs. She hung up on me twice when I requested a time at 12 noon today. On my second attempted call she used vulgar language on me before hanging up. I called a third time to get her name which she gave. I stepped into this Supercuts in the plaza shared with Fry's on a Thursday after work. I was pleasantly impressed! The shop was very clean, neat, and bright. One of the two stylists working there (Beth) was so friendly and prompt to greet me. She was the person who ended up cutting my hair. Beth engaged in conversation with me while she cut my hair. She moved efficiently and asked a couple of times if I liked what she was doing. I think that was very professional of her. Many stylists forget to check in with the guest and ask if they're satisfied with the progress of their haircut. Overall, it was a great experience. I think this location is one to check out if you live in the North Scottsdale area or just do your shopping in this area of town. read more

The last two times visiting this location were not great. You can tell by the attitude of the employees that they don't care about the reputation or the customers. We went in today to get my son a haircut. There was no one waiting (both people working were finishing up men's haircuts) and the lady said it would be 15 minutes. One of the gals finished her guy but a gal had walked in getting her hair colored (I figured she had an appt.). 20 minutes later the other gal finished then took 10 minutes to go to the back (I guess take a break?) and then start sweeping up the hair. In that 10 minutes another guy walked in who had made an appt. but I guess was 45 minutes late. The two people working there were like well he (the other guy) should go first and should be quick (I'm thinking not any more quick then my 12-year-old son) So I said that she told me it would only be 15 minutes and the one gal apologized and said she didn't think they guy was coming. So they decided to take him. We left after being there 30 minutes and didn't get a haircut. I love this place. The stylists are awesome, especially Halla. It's so convenient, right near my local Fry's Food store and right next to Papa Murphy's. They recently changed the way that they take customers, though. No longer call ahead the day of, now we need to call an hour ahead. read more

Their prices went up again it is now $19 for a standard mens cut more for specialty haircuts, shampoo is like $6 more,add $4 or $5 for a tip and it is getting expense to get my haircut every month,I now do it every 5 or 6 weeks.There is a constant influx of new barbers,so even if you get a great stylist they could be gone in a month.That being said most of the employees do a good job,you never walk out looking like a Marine recruit.Most employees are personable.I have been to half dozen locations but usually go to the location on McDowell.Some times you need an appointment but most times you can just walk in and wait 20 minutes. read more

Third time I had an appointment scheduled, and saw others taken ahead of me. Yesterday, I made an appointment for 3:45pm. I arrived about 10 minutes early, and saw that my name was number 2 on the list. At 4pm they took number 7 & 8 on their waiting list, and told me that there were still two people ahead of me.
