Audrey does fantastic work with her scissor skills and is very thorough! Thanks again!

last haircut she scalped me, even though I requested a light trim as I planned to come back in three weeks. That was over three months ago and I am almost back to normal. I have had good cuts there, but most were boarder line. I will not go back. read more

Fantastic deal!! Who could possibly have any complaints with such a great price for a woman's haircut! Yes, I walked in with no appointment- sure I had to wait a little bit...maybe 15 minutes. But, they were courteous and put me in the waiting room. Lolita was my stylist and she listened to what I wanted, really studied the photos I had and did a tremendous job on cutting my hair in the long layers I wanted!! I was elated with the results!! Why they have a low Yelp score is beyond me....A Fantastic Deal for a Fantastic Service- Thank you!! read more

I had my hair trimmed last week. The salon had a happy feel and the stylist were all talking and laughing! I used the check in online and hardly had to wait,Had a great experience will go back again read more

Great service. Friendly stylists and the vibe was good. Everyone who we spoke to was friendly.

Friendly staff great service My bangs have never been better. The lady was so nice and the vibe was so cool. Everyone was so nice.

The customer service at the salon is very excellent they listen to my details of my style I wanted and got it perfect. The vibe with the stylist was very tranquil. Thank you Bernadette read more

Great service and friendly staff. Also very clean. Price is excellent wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair.

Best salon in Fountain Hills. All the stylist are great and very knowledgeable. Definitely come here for a great cut

Worst hair cut ever, DO NOT GO TO JEFFERY at great clips Fountain Hills. I went in for a trim, I told Jeffery NOT to take off more than 1/2 to 3/4" and the first thing he did was put a barber shop clip head on the clippers and took a swipe front front to back over my left ear and I was stunned to see over 2"s of hair fall to my lap and he proceeded to take another swipe back to front and took even more. I ended up with a buzz cut on the left side and when I ask him about it, he promptly took off my apron and handed me off to another stylist who tried her best to even it out. Bonny did a great job with what little hair I had left and said it was a "communication error", yes, he did not listen. Not sure if he is hard of hearing or just doesn't know to cut hair. read more

Service was great. Haircut requested came out as desired. Environment was clean and well kept. Overall great haircutting experience.

Best great clips in the world. I got the best haircut ever. Super clean shop and amazing staff.

I visited in April 2025. I walked in and this one stylist was finishing up while others were cutting. She told the gal who was at the register she would take me before she left. I could tell the other stylists and the one at the register didn't care for her as they all rolled their eyes at her. Needless to say, it was the worst haircut I've ever had. She didn't listen to me and said she needed to do what she did. It's now the end of July and I still hate myself for not stopping this person and saying I'd wait for during rise or walk out the door. read more

My husband walked in, took a seat and got a GREAT haircut by Lauren in under 30 minutes. Job well done and now his go to spot in Fountain Hills. read more

A better haircut than the $60 one at home! Friendly, , great hair cut! I have to wait three weeks and pay more for a haircut where I'm from. read more

Time to get my gray mop cut back to be ready for the new school year...and it was badly needed. Always receive great service here. Never ever had any issues. The gal that cut my hair today (sorry, don't remember her name) was very sweet and fun to chat with. read more

Consistently terribly. Wait lines over 2 hrs. Don't bother "online check-in." It means nothing. I checked in online, waited 84 min, got the notification on my phone that I was 1st in the cue, and when I got here, they had a guy slip of front of me. Still had to wait and it ruined my schedule. Ridiculous. Unacceptable. Not to mention, the quality of haircuts are very poor here anyway. I emphatically do not recommend. Stylists are very rude and dismissive to understandably frustrated patrons. Literal words from the stylist to an upset some woman were: "you can always go somewhere else and pay $50 or cut your own hair." Priceless. read more

I had my hair cut here yesterday and it is the worst haircut I have ever had. I called back today to see if I could go to one of the other locations that might be owned by the same franchisee and get it done properly and I was told no. I was told the owner was John but that's it. I was just passing through and don't live there and was told I could come back there and get it fixed up but that is almost an hour drive for me to go get it done and I don't want the same person redoing it anyway. I have had my haircut at great clips all over North America for years. Not once have I had a bad haircut until yesterday. read more

For 6 years, my entire family always go to Great Clips in Fountain Hills. We always recommend this place to our friends and relatives. Today, I'm extremely disappointed to this lady hairdresser ALLIE (she is wearing a white converse with a messy hair bun). I took my 11 y/o son on 3/11/22 Sunday at 11:30am. She has no compassion, rude and extremely unprofessional. She even traumatized my boy and put him to tears. I gave her a heads up, that my son just wanted to have a little hair trimmed. She is rushing. Non stop rolling her eyes and sighing while my boy is crying quietly in the chair. She's pulling the hair, so careless, pulling down his ear really hard while trimming the side hair, cutting his bangs using a little razor cutter that made my son feels uncomfortable. She don't care at all, probably she hates children. I prefer not to argue. After the service and waiting for our receipt at the counter, she rolled her eyes again coz I'm comforting & wiping my son's tears. So, I asked her, "are you upset with something?" Then she said, "no. I don't care". Exactly! She just doesn't care. I just paid, gave her a tip and we walked away. Because my son is already emotional. I still need to speak with the manager, this is unacceptable. She shouldn't have any cosmetology license to be in this type of service. She needs an extensive customer service training and learn to smile. Never ever coming back to this place, ever. period. read more

I'd give five stars but they end up in the "not recommended" section for being "inconsistent". Anyway... Went in for a quick trim and Carin took great care of me. Even though I couldn't sit still. Lol. Too much caffeine I guess. I told Carin how I wanted it at 10 minutes later I was done. Just as requested. This is a great location and anyone living in the hills should be happy they're there... Upbeat and energetic. Great place. I've been to a few great clips in my life and this is the best one yet! read more

Arrived for my check-in after getting a text for next up @ 15 minutes. Arrive and I am next in line. The stylist working skipped me with no explanation. The second stylist grabbed a tablet and disappeared to the back.40 minutes and waiting...... Fountain Hills location 01/14/21 10:30. Left without haircut read more

The barber messed up my hair, leaving many strands too long that stuck out and made it uneven on one side. She even had the audacity to claim that she was perfect and that I would have a hard time finding any flaws with her cutting. When she trimmed off more to even out the long strands I pointed out, she had removed my hair cut gown, getting hair all over my shirt and then blaming me for it, which is complete b.s. The whole time, she kept remarking on how long my hair was, going as far as insulting it by calling it "horse hair." She was without a doubt the most unprofessional barber I've ever had the displeasure of suffering through as I watched my hair ruined snip by snip. They need to change their name. It's a downright lie to call it "Great Clips." It's more like "Half-Assed Clips." read more

Registered on-line with 20 minute wait. Showed up on time and was told it would be at least a 40 minute additional wait and was treated discourteously to boot. Plenty of other choices even if a longer drive is involved. read more

Went to the Great Clips for the first time the other day. I did not make an appointment. It was early in the morning and only one client waiting ahead of me. I was told it would be roughly a 15 minute wait. Turned out to be a little less. Dyanna cut my hair. She was pleasant and cut my hair as I requested. I had a coupon that I found in one of the circulars. So the cut was a bargain. I tipped Dyanna based on the posted full price. She was appreciative and asked me to return next month which I told her I would. This was easy peasy. read more

Had a coupon from Facebook. They wouldn't honor it. Said their system said "coupon not found". Place is a morgue. Now I know why.

I am very impressed. I did not sign in on line had an errand next door. Even though several names in front of mine, nobody showed up yet so I had no wait at 11am. My hair cutter is very experienced, was thorough, improved an area where a different barber shop cut too much, without asking used razor to thin through a thick area, was fast but thorough. Among my best haircuts. I am so pleased to find this Great Clips location with talented experienced cutters. Thank you for excellent service and pleasant demeanor on top of that read more

I wish I could give less then one star. Checked in online was told it would be 25 min. I ran some errands in the meantime. I kept getting delayed and delayed. I went in within 15 min of my time and was told by the very rude people there " you'll ha e to wait someone came in before you " so what's the point of checking in again ? Lost my business read more

First time--easy online check-in. Text received at 15 minutes wait time. Friendly greeting at door; professional stylist and great cut!

Tried to do the right thing and got laughed at!!!! Went on-line to sign-in virtually - yes. Wore my face shield - yes. Had my medical note that I'm not able to wear a facial mask - yes. The gal said I had to wear a face mask and started laughing that I had a face shield on. I then left and walked next door to Ace Hardware and purchased a face mask and returned not five minutes later. She had already taken off for lunch and totally blew me off. NOT a nice place and they need an attitude check during these stressful times. BOOOOOOOOOO HISSSSSSSSS to them. read more

Greeted as soon as I walked in, as I sat there I felt a very vibrant and alive feel in the shop. I like the people there, they were all very personable and positive. The facility was very clean and organized which tells me they care about quality in everything they do. I got a lady named Carin, she was very nice and really went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. She established her credibility right off the bat by really taking a look at my hair and identifying the type and different areas that could be difficult to control for the look I wanted so we adjust the cut in those certain areas. She achieved the exact look I was looking for, suggested a product that will hold up in my hair better, which I loved! This team of hair stylests is young and very talented. I had no complaints, I would recommend this Great Clips to everyone, they are amazing read more

If I had a chance it would be no stars. You get what you pay for. It's a cheap cut. My hair cutter blamed me for her bad cut. I gave good instruction and I came out looking like Bruce Lee. Won't ever go back. Done with great clips 4 ever. Done son. Also didn't like the interaction with the cutter. If I had a dick she probably would have been more nice to me. But maybe that's why she made me look like Bruce. Who freaking knows. read more

My second hair cut in the row that I asked the barber to leave top hair long. She said she would cut a inch off. I said No! I want to leave top long. I am so upset and angry I could cry. I specifically asked Yvonne just to even out some uneven cuts I had made; instead she razors huge chunks out of my hair and cuts my bangs way too short. Sign on door says open till 8PM. We arrived March 10th at 7:25 PM (from Mesa on our way back to Payson) signed in at counter and were addressed by an extremely rude evening manager, who indicated that we were arriving too late to expect service. The next thing she wanted to know was if we came in there often, we said yes we have been coming in there for over 4 years. We shop in the valley then stop there on the way back to Payson and never had anything but a positive experience. She told us it would be 40 minutes or more and if we left to go shop next door at Basha's she would lock us out. Really??? I think the real problem was her family was there and she wanted to leave early! Hey, Ms Attitude, bet you have a high turnover of employees and customers. read more

I just had a cut with BIANCA and I love it. I came in on extremely short notice on Sunday evening, not to mention being the last customer of the day, to have a home haircut corrected. Bianca was friendly, very understanding, and did an excellent job with my naturally wavy hair. My short, layered bob looks fantastic. With minutes left before they closed, she was not rushed. Not only did she fix my errors, she also demonstrated what I could do at home to make less mistakes the next time I take the scissors into my own hands. I am the benefactor of her 10 years of experience and would definitely see her again. read more
