Literally the worst place possible for haircuts. They have no clue how to cut freaking hair. I asked for a simple face framing and I basically got home with freaking bangs!!! When I checked my hair out in the mirror there was a very drastic and visible CHUNK missing out of the front portion of my hair that I had to attempt to blend in myself. I took my daughters to this location a few weeks ago and have since noticed how terrible of a cut the "stylist" did on their hair. Like, super uneven, unbalanced, & noticeable when it's dry and down. I made an appointment on Monday and went in today (Friday) and was told that Lu, my stylist and also the manager, wasn't coming into. She showed me the book and said, "See, you're crossed out." I got up at 6am and drove 25 miles to make it to my appointment time at 9am. I have a job interview this afternoon and I am livid. I can't believe that I wasn't even given a courtesy phone call to tell me my appointment was cancelled. Maybe I would have had time before my job interview to schedule elsewhere. Worst experience at all. I called to book an appointment and got booked but when I was there at a time, the door was locked. And one customer was already there with attendant. I knocked at the door, but she did not replied. When knocked again she yelled at me. And came outside and said nobody is there and I can't take ur appointment, I was trying to say her that I was already took an appointment at this time, though she was not ready to listen anything. This was my first visit, but the ladies here are super fun and friendly (and funny). The lady cut my hair just like I wanted it! I even came back the next day to ask if I could get the back shortened a little more (they didn't mess anything up, I just wanted it shorter than I thought) and they did it and didn't even charge me! I'll be going back for sure...for me it's all about how comfortable you feel with the people cutting your hair. read more

I generally just get bangs trimmed for about $7 +tip at costcutters and have always been pleased with employees. After re-opening after covid recently I was told (after my trim) the cost was $11 which included "santitation fee"! Employee said she guessed the sign should be bigger informing customers! I never did see the sign. Sounds outrageously greedy to me and taking advantage of covid. Salons presumably practice sanitary measures by law at my last check! In future I will definitely not give my custom to greedy business. read more

I went to this Costcutters for 7 yrs and had Leesa do my hair and honestly she is fantastic colorist and could work at a much fancier salon. She cuts what you want and is not scissor happy. The place is [pitiful to look at and needed remodeling last i saw it but thats not her fault. prices are good and Leesa is a great one no matter what anyone say about the others. read more

Now let me start by saying I'm EXTREMELY picky about who touches my hair and sometimes in general. . . Cost Cutters is great and they have amazing staff which says a lot because first impressions mean a lot to me. Had they been anything other than amazing I probably would've walked away. . . Caleesha is just amazing. Anytime I need my hair done she's the one I go to. I'm not great at explaining what I want when it comes to my hair I just usually know how to explain the basic. Yet, even though I provide very little info on how to do my hair Caleesha always manages to give me exactly what I want and how I picture it in my head. I've had bad experiences in the past but once I found Caleesha she has became my only stylists. Anyone who can give me what I want without having much info provided is definitely talented read more

Followed my favorite hair gal, Jules, to this location. Jules is the best, does great cuts and wonderful color. Find this shop to be friendly and fun. Incidentally, the gal that Terry S. referred to in his long nag is gone. It's so easy to pick up the phone and call for an appointment if you have a favorite person. If you are a walk-in and don't have the best experience, talk to the manager. You don't need to rip the whole store because of one person! read more

I would not recommend this salon for many reasons. I have stopped going here due to the change in staff over the last few years. They are rude, disrespectful and don't seem to care about the customer. On July 27th I was short on time and figure a quick wash and cut would not be that painful. However, I entered the store only to see staff sitting around talking about "vaginas"!!! after I sat in the chair I took my hair down and the staff started to pull at my hair while making faces of disgust. I guess she did realize or care that I could see her in the mirror. She then proceeds to tell me it will be an extra $15 dollar to comb out my hair as she stated it would take 30 minutes. I told her that wasn't correct it just needed a wash and it would comb out fine... At this point she now is talking about me to the supervisor who was sitting in the chair beside me. They made me feel like I was a dirt bag with lice! I kept explaining that I've never been told this before but no one was listening. After the staff continue there conversation I felt so embarrassed and left. I will never return nor recommend them. read more

This place is joke! I took my son to get his haircut. We walked in and were not acknowledged at all by anyone. They look at you like they have no idea why you would be there. We wrote our name on the list and sat to wait. In the meantime there were at least 4 "hairdressers" there doing NOTHING but standing around talking. I finally asked how long the wait would be and was told she has no idea, she is off. At that point 2 of the girls left. When it was finally our turn (about 30 mins later, there was 1 person in front of us) the girl decided it was her break time and went in the back of the shop to eat. Now it was us, and about 6 other people waiting. Needless to say we left. I don't expect much from these type of "salons" but common courtesy would be nice. read more

Followed one person for many years. She left this salon but I still went back for the basic root color touchup. The color didn't match but I'm not too picky. Went back and expressed some dissatisfaction with the "lack of matching" root color. She tried to match it again. This did not work so I went back again to see if they could do the root color to match, as I was told if I did not like it, come back and they would make it right. On this third time, the Manager Kalisha (sp???) got involved. She was looking at my hair with the hairdresser and asked me if I was cutting my hair. "Cutting my hair on the back of my head?" I think not!!! Clearly, this was a sign of severe damage, which what I was told later. This Manager dictated to the hairdresser to do a deep conditioner. But first, they totally bleached my hair to try to cover up the previous root match color mishaps. Kalisha said they would not charge me for the "color" but would have to charge for the conditioning. Well, I went back to the person who I have been seeing for years as she is at another Cost Cutters location. Upon first seeing her, she was absolutely amazed as to how much of my HAIR HAS BROKEN OFF!!! My hair is breaking off at Kalisha and told her she had 24 hours to make a decision as to what to do. She said she couldn't do that because she had to contact the district manager. I asked if she was working the next day so I could call and get an answer and she said yes. I called the next day and wow, they told me Kalish called out!!!! Go figure!!! The stylist I had been going to contacted the district manager and she had a discussion, right then and there, as to how to proceed to help me. Their decision? Send me a $137 cost cutters gift card. That's it. No apology from this Kalisha manager! No admittance of any wrong doing - of course!!! Meanwhile, my hair is still breaking - still bare in so many places - and I look like a freak! Does $137 cover the cost of my hideous appearance? Why in the world, after seeing my hair was breaking off after the second return visit, did they bleach my whole head? This manager MADE that decision to bleach my whole head of hair AND had them do the conditioning so I had to pay SOMETHING for this visit!!! She is rude and cares nothing about the client or fixing what they did wrong in the first place. She NEVER apologized! As a matter of fact, when I returned to show them all the damage on my hair, she instructed the stylist to say "well, you signed a damage waiver" - WHAT? Never heard of such a document - EVER! She was obviously trying to "cover up" all their mistakes and take NO responsibility. I pretty much shut her up when I asked her for a copy of that signed damage waiver!!! Shame on you Kalisha! You disgusts me! But you win - you have your full head of hair - but me? NOPE! SHAME SHAME SHAME ON YOU KALISHA!!!!! read more

I have been going to this salon for 3+ years - the management turnover is ridiculous here. The new manager Cherise is absolutely the worst. Her HR skills and professionalism is terrible. My stylist can cut and I refer numerous people to her but as long as you have this new manager running this store your business is going to suffer. I will not refer another person to this location. I had gone in to pickup product I had purchased and Cherise felt it was her business to question me as to why I color my own hair (mind you- I have been doing it for 25+ years). She wanted to walk away from me and say a couple smart remarks thinking I wasn't going to hear her or question her. She made the comment that "this store needs to make money" - that is fine but I am not the problem to your "low sales". Your management and skills are what is driving this location into the ground. Terrible attitude and smart a** mouth will not generate business. Cost Cuttters really needs to keep an eye on this store. read more
