I went back there a year or two later and while my father's barber no longer worked there, I met Lidiya, who has been helping me every other month ever since. Every time I go, I see both grownups and kids getting haircuts. During the pandemic, I tried out having facial hair and learned a lot about beards and mustaches. While I no longer have either, I trust that I can get what I need at Classic Barbershop whether I had facial hair or not. I also appreciate that they are open daily. Lidiya texts to remind me after I stopped by and again when about six weeks have gone by, which is the perfect reminder to set up my next appointment. I can set up an appointment by texting her or calling her usually for any day I want though times depend on other appointments that she has for that day. The more advance notice, the better. It's nice to have good customer service and a point person to stay connected with. I assume the other barbers are similar in this regard, though I've always really appreciated Lidiya! While the prices have continued to increase like anywhere else, they still have some special deals by combining different services. As of today, "The Deal" is the the premier bundle they offer of a haircut, shampoo, and shave for $60. They offer student or military special discounts as well as special discounts for hair cuts for kids, teenagers, and seniors. I also recall seeing first-time customer discounts in VALPAK mailers previously.
