My boys and I have been looking for a barber since moving to AZ and this place popped up as a good…read moreshop to start with. The barber who started with my oldest son pushed my son's hairline back too far, and the other haircut was a total bust. Both boys showed the barbers the haircut they wanted, and the barber gave them something completely different. I would not dare bring my kids back here to have them fix their hair or anything else. And the thing is, they knew the barbers who cut my kids' hair did not know how or what they were doing, and yet they allowed them to cut hair. I will come back to add pictures once I get them from my iCloud account. And my oldest son had an interview the next day, so he had to go in with this haircut, which, no, doesn't matter, but if you know, you know, confidence is everything when going for a job interview.

I came to AZ for a wedding and chose this shop because it was nearby. The haircut itself was…read moreexcellent--no complaints there. However, when it came time to pay, I noticed that the lowest preset tip option was 35%. While I take responsibility for not questioning it at the time, I felt pressured to go with that amount since it was presented as the minimum. During my conversation with the barber while he was cutting my hair, he asked where I was from, and I mentioned California. I'm not sure if tipping rates for haircuts are generally higher in Arizona or if this was influenced by me being from out of state I reached out via message here on yelp for clarification but never received a response. Because of this tipping setup and lack of communication, I'm deducting two stars--otherwise, it would have been a perfect five-star experience.
