Zero stars. I walked in, nobody in hair cutting chairs. The website says open until 7pm. There was a girl sitting in the back on her phone. I asked for a haircut and she said "I'm the only one here. I cannot cut your hair" She also asked if I had a reservation, I said no. The reason I said no was because I walk by every day, and it's never busy. Because I was a walk in and didn't have a reservation, she refused to cut my hair? She said she was closing soon. The time was 4:45pm Saturday night. The posted sign on the door and the internet, closing time is 7pm. Because I'm white and she wasn't-I couldn't get my hair cut? Reverse discrimination. From the time I walked in and turned away, based on posted hours, Super Cuts on State St. should have been open for another 2 hours 15min. I clearly do not understand. And I'm not hapoy. And I I have an account. Never again. If you don't believe me, watch your cameras. Customer service 0% Attitude 100% The worst part is I manage at shop on State St. I am always asked questions of where to go, eat, drink, salons, etc...unfortunately for Super Cuts, I will not recommend and will tell people about the horrible customer experience I had and not to go there. read more

I read prior reviews which weren't favorable & decided to give them a shot anyways. The moment I walked in I felt unwelcomed. Stylist was with a client, another was sitting, waiting for appointment I'm assuming. I walked in & instead of acknowledging a customer, (saying Hello, be right with you), she ignores & continues to show client back of hair with mirror. Then starts to walk to back of building & YELLS to me ,"Do you have an appointment?" Of course I did not, figuring it was a Thursday around 11am. I tell her No. She says "I don't have anything for today, but, I have openings for tomorrow ". I said no thanks & walked out. I live downtown and have gone to this shop for years. Scheduling is usually very easy. I am sensitive to smells so I appreciate that this shop never has that overbearing chemical smell that a lot of salons, even high priced ones, have. The shop is always clean and well lit. Everyone here is very friendly. Ashely is always pleasant and does a great job with my hair. When she is not available I have Leanna cut my hair. She does a great job as well. read more

Scheduled online for an appointment. Arrived early. The 2 stylist's were with customers, no acknowledgment of my arrival. A man came in, the one greeted home and promptly took him back when she was done with her appointment. I waited. Another man walked in, again, greeted cheerful and helpful to tell him the wait time as a walk in! The one was doing a coloring so she wasn't going to be doing my hair. She finished her client and asked for the man who walked in! The other stylist said I think she might have an appointment, I agreed. She started sputtering about how she thought I was waiting for someone else... no apology for the mix up, not a word about letting get you taken care of... she obviously didn't want to work with me. Angelena is not someone you want to come anywhere near your hair. Absolutely the worst hair cut I have ever received in my life. Not only that. Extremely unprofessional and didn't care at all about how bad it was. Whatever you do. Do not get your hair cut by Angelena. The manager and other stylist are great and they ended up fixing my hair and I was very happy with it. As I have been getting the same hair cut for years now and it is not a difficult hair cut. Simple fade starting with one, trim off the top. How does someone who's paid perform such a terrible service. I sent pictures to my wife and she was going to come down and say wtf did you do and said it looks personal. Mind you I have only seen Angelena at super cuts twice and the first time was bad and I wanted to give her a second chance but helllllll no never again I will continue going there but I will literally refuse or walk out if she is the only one available. Called and got a walk-in appointment immediately but the stylist was a rookie. She was not even able to cut a clean fade and it took over an hour. Had an appointment for 2:15, got there on time, and they let a guy go in front of me who had an appointment at 2:35 because it was "basically the same time" according to the stylist. When I went earlier in the year and had an appointment but still ended up waiting for over 30 minutes. Thought this was just bad luck so again tried them out earlier this summer. Big mistake. Although very nice, the hairdresser cut my ear really badly while giving me a haircut. It bled everywhere and healed only after about 2 weeks. Although they did comp the haircut, these two experiences have ruined this Supercuts for me. And I know Supercuts are generally hit or miss, but when it comes to quality this Supercuts is just a miss. To be fair though, both haircuts turned out quite nice. read more

I have been going to this location for a couple years. I was lucky to have Denise as my hairdresser the first time I went. I really enjoyed the experience and come back to have her cut my hair regularly. Sometimes the wait is a little longer than I would like, so I usually call ahead to check in. The shop is clean and everyone is pleasant. The area is nice to watch and easy to get around. I have recommended to others to come here as well. read more

I went in for a facial and eyebrow wax and they couldn't take me right away, but it was only about a half hour or maybe 40 minutes until they would have time, so I made an appointment. I strolled around State Street and then came back in. They were busy, but they called my name right away after I sat down. The young woman who did the waxing was very professional and personable. She made sure that I was comfortable in the chair/basin and took her time and was very thorough. I will definitely be back. They get a lot of walk-ins, but they do try to stay on time. It's a busy store, but there's plenty to do in the neighborhood if you have to wait for your turn. The price is certainly right! read more

I called to make an appointment and I told them I had class, they gave me an appointment at 1:30. I went and checked in a few minutes early and reminded them I had class in 45 minutes (2:15). They finished with the person in front of me then forgot I was the 1:30. I reminded them, and reminded them I had class again, they said wait till They clean up. So I waited. Then they left to eat lunch or something in the back. I had to leave because I ran out of time. I stayed till 1:50 waiting with no haircut and I had to leave for class. She was currently doing another customer's hair, so it was a quick 15 minute wait. I don't remember her name but she was the only one working that evening, and was a very nice person. I'm anti-Supercuts and I'm writing a POSITIVE review of this place! We walked in on a Sunday (quite possibly the only salon open on a Sunday in this town) to get trims for my husband and toddler. Leann did both and gave them both a sensible haircut. I was worried they'd look off as if they were headed to war the next day but I the salon snob was impressed! I completely recommend toddlers! Leann was patient and very good! Kids Cuts has too many damn toys. The mom scene there is too much for me. And the women cutting hair always seemed to take forever and a day. This is a couple of bucks cheaper too! I recommend Leann although I saw a couple of other kids there getting their hair trimmed by others and the moms seemed just as content! read more

First off the stylist who cut my husbands hair was professional and did a good job, but unfortunately leading up to him getting his haircut was very unprofessional and chaotic examples are: we called to put name on the list for 3pm we show up and his name was not on list and had to wait 30 minutes, while waiting another stylist was cutting a gentleman's hair and her daughter or relative was sitting in another chair and the stylist was paying more attention to her child with a conversation and blow dryer in her face, phone was ringing off the hook and no one was answering, an older gentleman walks into the building and starts asking customers for a dollar then proceeds to sit in a chair and stare into space. We do understand and not expecting spa like treatment, but some sort of order and professionalism would be nice. We will not be returning. read more

Bad customer service and rude workers, especially the manager named Karen. I went to them and they were 20 minutes away from closing. Worker checked my hair length to give me price. Another worker came and started to debate the length of my hair with the other workers. All took time then manager came and told me that they can't my hair because they are about to close in 20 minutes and I should called for an appointment an hour ago. No where in the store says that walk-in is not taken. Then they wanted to close early because Father's Day weekend. One agreed to do my hair and the others said no.
