my husband and i yesterday decided he needed a haircut when we seen the supercuts in the strip mall in orange ct. what a mistake we made entering this supercuts!!! the stylist josh cut my husbands hair. again what a mistake!!! first of all, he acted like we were inconveniencing him. his attitude sucked. and the haircut was not up to par!!! he cut my husbands hair like shit. my husbands hair is long. josh cut straight across the length and that's it. i could of done the same for free not 23$ plus a 6$ tip in which you have no choice to pay when you use a debit card. we will never ever go to supercuts again. we are so dissapointed with his attitude and the price. no shampoo no trim up,,,,, nothing but cutting straight across the length!!!!! never will we ever ho back. we are pissed and feel raped for our cash!!! read more

My wife always got her hair cut here, each time it's a different price normally $25 plus tip, well the other day she went, the lady 1st said $70 my wife was what, she said o wait it's, $50, according to super cuts chart says from $14 to $25, then for shampoo, cut, dry and style $35 and she bought hair stuff for $8 so she did not get a shampoo and the girl just cut her bangs and less then a inch off the back, she sprayed wet it, and was asked 2 dry, no shit, it was still wet & $50 plus tip, this is not right! I brought my 3 grandchildren, ages 2, 3, and 11, for haircuts. Dave was phenomenal with all 3, engaging in conversation with the 11 year old about things he was interested in, and getting his input regarding the hair cut( with some help from my daughter.) Dave magically wooed the little ones with their favorite tv cartoon, sprayed their heads with water like a mist, donned them both with a cute kids smock, and cut their hair thru the crying and squirming with ease, frequently distracting them and reassuring them. He was definitely the "child whisperer", and I would highly recommend him to anyone who has a child thats fearful of getting a haircut! He's also awesome with adult cuts! read more

I came in looking to cut my hair to donate. First of all, the hair dresser made ONE braid. My hair was uneven after she cut the braid off, so evening it out took off even more length. I asked for my hair to be at my collarbone. Instead, it doesn't even reach my shoulders. By the end of the haircut, even she knew she made a mistake. I had Lisa who did a great job. Took me right away despite the manager saying there was a 20-30min wait. She's super good at multitasking and keeping the conversation going. Just comes off like someone who cares. On a different note. Ive been to supercuts all over the U.S...let me tell you..hit or miss. Its consistently 50/50. Once you find one with a good hair stylist..dont take your chances with anyone else. I would give five stars if it weren't for all those terrible supercuts moments. read more

You know the reddit sub r/FuckMyShitUp? This place belongs a mention there. Don't go there, don't waste your money. This place is the worst and the epitome of "you get what you pay for." No one greeted me when I entered. A little eye contact and a "Hi, I'll be right with you" is not difficult. Under the seats in the waiting area, I could see the ball of hair thoughtfully left out for rats to make nests with. Both cutters finished with customers and neither one looked up to say "I can help you now". My name was demanded, not asked and no explanation was given why I should provide it. This seemed to really piss off the cutter. I had very long hair, down to my backside. Every hair stylist I ever had, except Corina has asked me if I was sure of the amount I wanted off. She did not seek to avoid a customer having a potential problem with losing too much length. A few perfunctory squirts of detangler and she combed my hair from the crown DOWN and not from the ends UP. She pulled hard on my scalp and I heard her ripping my hair. I had to ASK for more detangler, somehow she couldn't suss it out for herself and did not apologize when I told her that she was hurting me. Defensively she said that she was almost done. To repeat, every stylist has always shown me with a small lock, the amount cut at the beginning. She did not, chopped fast with DULL scissors and as soon as I opened my eyes to look in the mirror, whipped the cape off to show that she was done. I have soft bangs and she did not even ask if I wanted them trimmed. Save yourselves! Don't go to this store. read more

The reason why I was a repeat customer is because they charge $13.95, and each time I'd convince myself that last time wasn't so bad and to go again because it is so cheap. But now I have drawn the line.Two days before christmas I went in for a new modern hair cut and left like I was stuck in the 80's! Yes their prices are good, and if you have short hair they can't really go wrong. But for people with long to medium hair I say watch out! Went in for a simple root touch up. Hairdresser had no idea what color to use. Other hairdresser yelled at her to use a color swatch. I picked out my own color from swatch and then hairdresser doesn't agree and wants to bleach my hair. My hair is blond and lighter at ends because of sun. Isn't this basic color theory in hairdressing school? I then said forget color just cut but this hairdresser made me feel so nervous I just told her to forget it and left. I told the gentleman that answered the phone that I could be there in 7 minutes would I still be able to get a haircut he asked if it would just be for Clippers I said yes he told me to come on down so I did only to find when I got there at 6:48 the doors were locked and the closed sign was up I not and was ignored I tried to call again they did not pick up the phone bad business if you're open till 7 you're open till 7 and then don't tell me to come down if you had no intention of keeping the doors open very unprofessional I've owned my own business for 12 years and I would never disrespect a customer like that apparently that is the way Supercuts image is now portrayed through my eyes I will never go to any one of your locations ever again good job Orange read more

The place is a mess due to apparent lack of corporate interest. It's amazing that the staff make that place work with such few resources from corporate. It could use a paint job, Pandora or Sirius, replacement TV and some overall TLC but the "suits." Regarding the staff: Lisa and Carlos!!! A1 great at their profession! I used to dread going to get my hair cut because of all of the horrible cuts I have gotten here. The workers here just to seem to not care. The only reason I kept going back was for the price and convenience of being able to call in ahead. They never seemed to cut my hair evenly, and each person would cut it differently. I understand if people have called ahead etc...however, the complete lack of customer service by the receptionist, let alone the staff to keep me informed concerning my wait time is unacceptable.
