I've been going to Jordan for balayage for years and love her. But now she offers scalp massages and my gawddddd are they amazing. You know when you get your hair washed and you're like 'mmmm this feels so good' -- well this is that X 1000! My husband and I go both go monthly now as our own way of getting a little TLC. My appointment was a month ago and I still love my hair. Found Jordan on Instagram, booked online easily. Appointment started early. She was easy going and super knowledgeable. Im Brazilian and have dark brown, tight curls, high porosity, fairly dry hair. I was there to go lighter than I've ever gone- balayage, highlights, money piece, whatever could be done to create a big change. She didn't do everything, because as a professional she recognized that my hair wouldn't have handled such a process in the condition it was in. She explained why it was best to approach this transformation gradually over the next few months and only to continue lightening IF I took extra care to hydrate and strengthen it in the meantime. 2-3 hours later, I got to see myself for the first time and wow.... my hair was just perfect. Recently I found Groupon hair service from Francesca's Hair Creations located inside Jordan kindle Salon Building. I was so excited since I pass by Jordan Kindle Salon all the time on my way back home from work. I let my sister know since she also was looking for a hair salon. We both purchased Groupon to try out, and her daughter visited there as a regular customer. The trouble was she charged the deposit of $50 via Venmo or cash only saying it would be refundable, but never refund back to her (reason- she had to charge extra $50 for the service). When my sister booked the service with Groupon after paying $50 Deposit, Francesca offered to return the deposit. when I tried to book for the service, Francesca asked for NON-RETURNABLE $50 with Venmo or cash only in person saying this is how her booking system works. Is this her booking fee this time? Obviously, it didn't work out to me. I will never let unreliable person touch my hair. Today is the 2nd time that I've gone to Jordan for my hair. After moving to CT back in August and being extremely unhappy with my previous hairdresser/current hair color, I expressed my concerns with Jordan and had complete trust in her ability to "fix" my hair. She did a color revision on my hair in January (low lights, balayage, toner, root shadow, cut)..she offered reassurance during the entire process explaining what she was doing and why. I have never done anything to my hair besides foil highlights so I was a bit nervous to stray from the norm even though I was unhappy with my current hair. I'd give a zero if I could. I asked for full foil hair. Both the website they use to book appointments AND the website said that a full foil for 3 PLUS hours was $300 (and that's what I asked for AND booked the appointment for) PLUS a refundable $50 when you book the appointment that you'll get returned when you show up. Jasmine decided to do whatever she wanted with my hair and I ended up being there for 7 hours. Not ONCE did she mention that my price would be changing. By the end she told me $600! NEVER got my $50 back And she made me go to the atm for more money despite what I was told it would cost. I didn't say anything at the time because I don't have much experience with getting my hair done so I thought it must be somewhat normal. But I was so upset about it that I'd bring it up to any hair dresser I'd meet and EVERYONE told me I was robbed blind. So a month and a half later I decided to say something . And THIS was her response """" it states $300 for full foil and like I said that's just my base price. My prices are what they are and if you're not happy with the cost you can go somewhere that will accommodate you for cheaper. I refuse to be told how to run my business or what I should be charging. I'm pretty sure you told me luscious and co charged the same price ****NOWHERE NEAR THAT and NEVER SAID THAT***** you waited almost 2 months to reach out so there's nothing I can do. What is robbery? Getting work done then acting like you hate it months after to try and get your money back."""" And then she blocked me. Not once was I rude to her. There was no reason for the completely unprofessional response. I want EVERYONE to know who you're giving your money to when you decide to go to this girl. She doesn't deserve a penny. By the way her site makes the appointment w her so its not as if I mistakenly picked the wrong person. I went on to confirm in response to the text her site sent several days ahead of time because obviously cancelling at the last minute is bad form. Then I get an email at 8:30m pm the night before my appointment informing me she doesn't do men's hair! Her site lists a Men's cut and my name is clearly male but you don't bother to tell me until the last minute leaving me high and dry?!!
