I used to tip $100 here to motivate the stylists to do a good job. HUGE MISTAKE. I quit going because the last women who cut my hair did a lousy assembly line job and kind of stood waiting and expecting her tip because she knew I was a $100 tipper. Sorry lady you have to EARN your tip. I decided to give them a second chance and use the other lady who did a good job and gave me the time and attention I was tipping for. Instead some guy named Brain wasted my time. I called Brain and said I tipped good and had an appointment to fly out next morning for a business trip. Made an appointment with Brain and showed up on time he later he contradicted our conversation and said they don't take appointments over the phone. Made me wait 50 minutes then said he didn't have time and wanted to go home. Left and never went back. These people are low paid and don't care. Can you blame them? That is why i tip big. I tip big because I want a GOOD JOB but that does not motivate them to change ... They do lousy job then stand with their hand out for the big tipper ... Or stand me up 50 minutes and say "waaaaaa I just want to go home!" .... that's it ... I go to a new stylist who appreciates $100 tips and proves it by doing a GOOD JOB with attention to details. Sorry for the other older lady that did a good job.. You can thank Brain (younger gay guy there) and the other lady near the counter for chasing one of your nice tipping customers away. Went in today around dinner time as it was the closest one to me in my schedule. Haven't been here in a few years. Location is clean and plenty of parking. They had 3 employees working and only one customer. She didn't talk more than she needed to and was very detailed in my cut. I guess they get really slow and cut employees because the manager was asking her when she gets off and she said she would stay late since they had her start later today due to it being slow. She was done with my hair before the guy who was already there was done. Only thing I'm not a fan of at salons is if there are 8 work stations and only 2 being used, why are they right next to each other?? Some places charge $15 still for the cut, here it's $16 and $5 if you want shampoo. read more

I've been coming here for a while now. I never dye or color my hair and can only speak for hair cuts and styles. Their prices are great and the stylists that I've had do a great job with attention to detail. I usually get my hair cut by two stylists who work there. I can't remember their names though. It can get busy when there are only 2 to 3 stylists and people coming for walk ins on the weekend (the only time I go). Make an appointment or wait it out. read more

I don't understand the waiting list at this particular location. I arrived on time for a 10:45 appt., early in fact. Their debit system is down so I have to walk to an atm in the shopping center. Still back by 10:45. My son's name is number one on the list for the next available and he is skipped. This is not the first time this has happened. I get that he is an energetic 4 year old but he can sit for a haircut. Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened at this location. On multiple occasions my husband has felt that the stylists on duty have been trying to get out of cutting his hair. This is supposed to be s family friendly environment. I started using Supercuts when my daughter was a toddler (eighteen years ago). And I continued to use Supercuts because I have met a few wonderful gem stylists at this location. And when I find a perfect match, I usually follow them around if they move to another Supercuts. With that said, my last stylist stopped cutting hair altogether. So my search was on again to meet another Gem. It was early in the afternoon on a weekday, no wait and no one after me. Lucky for me. I have straight shoulders length heavy lots of hair. I told the woman I wanted and inch off, She didn't say a word. She proceeded to clip apart, at this time, she dropped the hair clip, never picked it up, instead she kicked it under the table with so much force, I got nerves! She must be having a bad day, I thought. Next, She took another clip and grab half of my hair and clipped it on top of my head and preceded to cut the bottom section. One single clip for so much hair? I really was worry then! In less then seven minutes she was done cutting. When I looked at my hair, the right side was shorter then the left!!! When I asked her to fix it, she said to me "next you will be asking me to cut the other side, when this side is too short" I was flabbergasted! forget about cross checking! I called ahead and they told me it was a 20 minute wait. I made an appointment for 30 minutes later to give it a 10 minute buffer. I showed up exactly on time 30 minutes later. There was 1 person in there before me. A family came in after me. They took everyone prior to me without even acknowledging me. At 5:20 I left. I have been going to Supercuts for years. That was my last time ever in a Supercuts. Made an appt at Great Clips and when you walk in it shows where you are on the list. They were fast, friendly and cheaper!!! read more

I am a regular at this salon. I usually go in about every three weeks to get a haircut (my hair is on steroids...it grows way too quickly). The service there is always amazing. The stylists are always up for cheerful banter, and I feel at home when I wait for my haircut reading a magazine. One that sticks out there is Richard who is the manager. I always wait for him. He lays attention to detail and I have no fear of letting him take the reins on my hair. I have had two different colors done by him as well as many cuts, and he always does an amazing job. I don't know who this Maria girl is but homegirl needs to lighten up and treat people like human beings, she doesn't make a sex figure salary, she is some house mom from San Pedro who probably has fake tan and a horrible figure (yeah I went there). I got a great haircut, it was fast, and the lady who cut my hair didn't talk my ear off, which was refreshing. She even offered to do my eyebrows and didn't charge any extra. They look much better. I should have went with my gut feeling and went somewhere else. I had a male cut my hair. When he was done and I looked in the mirror, I was crying on the inside but didn't say anything because I hate confrontation. It's literally a wack job. I asked for side swept bangs and told him where my hairline part was. Basically cut the hair underneath short and skipped all the top layer so now it's just a mess. I made an appointment ahead of time thinking this would facilitate things. I come in and am greeted. So far, so good. The young woman asks me to take a seat and that they would be with me shortly. There are at least 1 or 2 stylists that have done a great job in haircuts before, but most do descent at best. But my biggest problem with this location is I don't understand why they take appointments, because when I call very early for an appointment I expect to be seen at the time or soon after the given time, but 50 minutes later still not seen. They have a digital visual board showing people's names but all the people called so not match the names on the board. I don't know why, go figure that one. Most people seem like walk-ins which I suspect came in after I called. I feel no attention or consideration is given to those that actually scheduled appointments. One other person before me clearly had an appointment and had to ask when he was up because he was waiting an hour up to that point. I can't accept everyone here called this far ahead. This place needs to be more efficient and courteous to those who make the effort to call ahead expecting to get a haircut reasonably within their appointed time or else why even take the appointment? 2/5 stars. read more

VERY Disappointed with my visit to this Super cuts yesterday. As we walked in we were greeted by the Manager had 3 ppl with me that need hair cuts.(this is $50 of business mind you) As we waited for about 30 mins if not more one stylist was with one customer the whole time plus some and the other stylist was washing hair the Manager was dragging his feet all over the store doing nothing....Just waiting for time to pass... I called the Supercuts down the street to see what there wait time was as we left this location I asked the Manager by the way he was just standing at the register staring into space to please take are names out of line we where leaving the Manager did not even try to stop us from leaving or ask if we where going to come back or even apologize for the long wait. We drove down the street to the other location which was way more busy with only 3 stylist and we did not have to wait no more then 5 mins. I have been to the location at the Traffic circle many time over the passed I want to say 10 yrs and seen many Manager come & go this one is the worst one of all NO ppl skills. Come on now where is your Customer Service remember this is a skill you yourself choose to do. read more

An upscale Supercuts? At least this location feels like one. Very clean and comfortable with stylists who care about their work. Brian did a really nice job with my hair. I don't live near Long Beach, but I had to be in the area anyway, so I trusted the Yelp reviews and gave it a try. (There was even a $2 off check-in deal, so that was a nice bonus.) read more

Today (December 15, 2015) I went to get a haircut at this Supercuts I usually don't get my hair cut but I wanted a change so I decided on Supercuts since it was super close. I went in with one of my roommates and as we walked in we were called up immediately. It was super quick and easy and the price was great considering the haircut was more than expected it was just great. Everything was super clean and neat. Richard was amazing!! I have really short hair, and have been letting it grow a tad longer. But I (oops) colored it a couple of weeks ago, and wanted it shorter and spikier again, while I wait for the color to get out. So he cut it, and I put my own gel in, but I asked him if he'd make it even shorter. He was so gracious about it, and it is just fabulous!! He is very mellow, easy to talk to, and does great work. I went in the day of an important event. I wanted something a little dramatic, and let the stylist know I was also going to be in a wedding later this month. I stated I wanted only 1-2 inches off my hair (had a bunch of photos on my phone) because my hair gets frizzy if it's too short. She cut 6 inches off my hair, I repeatedly said that it was too much cut off, but apparently she didn't care. The hair took a really long time for her to dye, and the dye part was a lot higher up than I had clearly requested. She kept talking about how hungry she was, so when she shuttled me off with wet hair to style at home (before the event I specifically asked to be styled for), I guess I should not have been surprised. I will have to find someone else to fix the damage to my hair. I've been wearing it in a bun a lot because I am sick of telling people how it was supposed to look versus how she made it look. Really disappointed. I know you get what you pay for, but about $200 for all that (which included a cut for my husband whom someone else did--which looks great) was really REALLY bad. read more

I guess I miss understood I thought it was a full service salon for women too. I made a VERY BAD decision and had my almost blond hair colored there. I asked for my roots to be light brown and leave some of my blond highlights showing. She said she could do that. She turned my hair red with green ends? So she said no problem I know how to add something that will blend the two wrong colors she had created??? REALLY she ended up turning me almost Black...I cried so hard it's solid black!!! I asked what can you do to fix this she said there was NOTHING they could do and I asked if she could add or put in some highlights to soften it even she said no it won't take. It looks awful it's hard and cold looking OMG leave for a vacation in 2 days looking like a witch. I will seek a professional next time.
