I never have Yelped before, but will use this avenue as opposed to making the young stylist cry. I went in with very specific length instructions. The girl basically gave me a buzz cut. I look like I am a 59 year old Marine recruit. It will take 2 months for my hair to get close to where I like it. Pathetic at the least. One and done at this butcher shop! I went in a couple days ago to try out their deep conditioning treatment and upon entering I was immediately greeted and the staff was very friendly and inviting. I loved their deep conditioning treatment, it was very relaxing and smelled very nice. Theresa helped me even though I have very long hair she was very gentle and took good care of me. I have always been afraid to go to salons because I have long hair, people either ask to cut it for the money or just don't know how to deal with long hair, but Theresa was an angel and respected my tastes. My hair felt silky smooth and even after a few days it still feels wonderful. Apparently it's part of the Paul Mitchell line of hair products that their salon is allowed to use, and I must say, I'm hooked! She even offered to do the Tee Tree scalp massage and I thought why not?--and lemme tell ya, it was heavenly. It smelled so nice and my scalp felt so refreshed afterward. I was told that the conditioning treatment can last up to a month, and with the price (~$15) I will definitely be back next month. As someone who is trying to budget, it doesn't get better that this for a little bit of much needed pampering. read more

Oh, I should have known better than to let a "superchain" color my hair. Stupid stupid me. This women named Teresa was just supposed to help, but she would not let the only person there that knew color take back over. Instead she fried my hair with bleach that she left on to long. I kept explaining what color highlights i wanted and she could not get it. Not how to mix not how long to leave it on, NOTHING. It cost me over $100 and i paid it just to get out of there. I left a very expensive pair of readers there and called to pick them up, and on top of it all, they claimed they didn't have them. Even though another stylist that works there told me i left them. I've came here before to get my hair cut but this has been my best experience for what it is. I can't remember the exact spelling but something close to 'Fabrena' was the name of the pleasant woman that met me at the door and then eventually cut my hair a few moments later. She asked how I would like it cut and how long it had been since my last cut. After explaining she went to work with nice small talk. Towards the end she asked me politely if I would like a shampoo or product in my hair when she was finished. I declined but told her 'great job' and I hope so catch her next time. Stopped by as a walk in yesterday for a hair cut. I have long, thick hair that can take time to cut and was nervous about not making an appointment ahead of time. Luckily Marsha greeted me and was available without a wait! My previous haircut (not at Supercuts) was done in a distracted rush and needed portions fixed while others left alone to grow out. Marsha was very intentional to make sure I was comfortable with how and where she was cutting, repeatedly checking in in a thoughtful and inclusive way. I felt the sincere care in how dedicated she was to make sure I left happy with the cut. I was nervous trying a new place as a walk in with specific requests but it could not have been more seamless or relaxing than it was. I am grateful to Marsha for her kind and extremely talented presence. She is detailed oriented, gifted, calm, focused and adaptable. Before my most recent experience here at this location, I wouldn't have recommend this place to anyone else. Fariba has changed my experience to the best one yet! She took such a great care of making sure that I like my hair color along with making me absolutely satisfied with her fantastic service. She is so deligent and cautious. She deserves all the stars and the best review possible. I want to be sure that she is well appreciated by the employer as well. I love this Supercuts because everyone is always so nice, it's cheaper than most, and it's right next to my house. I got my hair cut today by Noushin. She was so sweet and helpful from the moment I walked in! Genuine would be a good word to describe her :) she gave me really good tips for my hair, without giving me a lecture (happens a lot), seemed genuinely interested in my life, and fixed my bangs (much needed). all under 30 minuets :) what more can you ask for? I always get my haircut at another local near by that charges $90. They canceled my appointment 30 min before! I needed one so I walked in to Supercuts. I have never been 100% happy with my cuts. I get an a line bob ( long in front short in back) I was greeted by Fariba and she took me right away! She gave me an amazing cut!!!! Way better than the $90 cuts I was paying for!!!! Then once another stylist finished he promptly took customers he was on a first name basis before me. I had been waiting 40min. No explanation given. Long waits. Inefficient stylists. Also found her very humble, as she spoke highly of her colleagues when I asked for other stylists that were good in case she isn't there on a day when I visit. I've been going to Rancho Niguel Super Cuts for 7 years now, and I am a HUGE fan. Big shout out to Jorge for my fabulously consistent and awesomazing haircuts...not only that, he's super friendly, fun to chat with, and always runs on schedule! My hair is short so I get frequent cuts, but when I'm too busy and go longer between appointments, my cut holds it's shape. "Bonus"...I always get compliments on my hair cut!! I recently had hair color done by Theresa and she did a beautiful job. She was efficient, knowledgeable, and confident but not rushed. My color was in need of 'repair'. Theresa listened, offered appropriate advise and I would recommend her services to anybody who wants great color! The salon itself is wonderful = good vibe, friendly staff, modern, clean, and 7 days a week convenient. All of the employees I've encountered have been incredibly friendly and it's obvious that the stylists know what they're doing, from what I've observed while having my own head reshaped. Salons offering lattes and inflated prices are not my thing but convenience, efficiency and consistent results are. I've found nothing but greatness here! read more

The girl at the front desk was a little cold when I walked. She asked " whats your name?" I told her my name and she said " its going to be 15 minutes" i then sat down and about 5 minutes later a stylist came up to me and took care of me. The cut was ok, wish it would have been a little more stylish, i kind of just got a buzz and spike. I grew out my hair specifically to go and say " give me something different! I have been a frequent customer of Supercutsfor many years .... However, few of my visits here have been good. One of my favorite's memories from this lounge was coming in to get a little more off the front - I had visited my old favorite location in LB the previous day and didn't pipe up before I left. When I pulled into this shoppe the next morning, I was told by the bald headed doofus cutting hair that I would have to pay $7.95 to have my bangs trimmed (1/4 inch or so that would take 20 seconds worth of work)... I was not a happy camper but I paid ... afterwards, I visited Supercuts web page (listed on their sales receipts) and provided feedback on my experience, stating that I shouldn't have been charged; since I had been a loyal customer for the last 20 years, I knew there would be no charge if you come back soon afterwards ... A few days later, I get a call from their manager offering 2 free haircuts and a treatment which I took!!! No happy ending here, after the free cuts and few more visits,including a retaliatory clip off of the front bangs for payback from Mehri (thanks :) ... I moved on. read more

Should have read the reviews. Came in wanting the top of my hair shorten so I can style it up without it falling down because it was too long. Was clear to the woman who cut my hair. BUT, she chopped away. She left an inch of hair on top...how am I supposed to style that? Then she asked me if it was still too long. Are you kidding?
