Update: i came here for a root color and cut because it was needed. I wanted to first apologize to Rhea the assistant who was helping Bahar wash my hair. In my previous review i was unhappy with the water going down my shirt and ears. Its a petpeeve of mine. After thinking about that day, it was a crazy day and she was helping trying to wash my hair. Things happen and its a one off. So, Rhea if you are reading this, I apologize and hope to see you in the salon . Bahar: aka my "hair doctor" like the creative artist that she is, she gave my hair life again. I came in looking twenty years older with damaged hair and i left feeling lighter, and happier mentally and physically. The hair cut was exactly what i wanted and so was my color. Often i act spontaneously without thinking long term and want to experiment and Bahar is always the one to reel me back into reality and give me the honest truth about what i think i want and what will actually look good and not make me regret it later reality checks. I've been going to Bahar Khalfi for a couple years now and I'm always happy with how she cuts & colors my hair. She is an expert colorist, and after going through a few different stylists in Orange County, she's the only one that figured out the perfect base and highlight color for me. Also, she bleaches my fine gray hair without damaging it, which is huge. I also get keratin treatments done every 3 months to smooth my wiry gray hair. Had the worst experience! I called in advance to schedule an appointment for a new haircut style. Someone picked up the phone and scheduled me with Bebe without a problem. Prior to my appointment, someone called me from that salon and asked if I could come earlier. I couldn't, so I said no and asked to reschedule me to another day if Bebe couldn't do it at the time I was scheduled. They rescheduled me. My appointment was today. I came few minutes earlier and was shocked to find out that I was scheduled for a quick bang trimming instead of a new haircut style. Bebe was busy with her own (as she said) clients, the girl up front kept saying that I was scheduled for a bang trimming. None of them neither apologized nor even tried to help me out of this situation, so I left feeling very upset and unwanted. This is unacceptable! All customers, regardless if they are old or new clients should be treated with respect! read more

Bebe always gets my color perfect! I love a bright, warm, and natural tone and she always nails it. I just got curtain bangs from her (with lots of layers) and she made sure that I loved the outcome. Layers can be so tricky and I definitely can be picky when it comes to the pieces around my face. It came out so good, and I so appreciate her willingness to make sure I loved the end result. Went to Parks Salon yesterday for the very first time, and this will by my go-to salon for the rest of my life~ BAHAR: Thank you to the moon and back for providing such a magical service! The confidence boost walking out of the salon yesterday was a feeling I hadn't had in quite some time, and for this, I am so deeply appreciative. Sending so many happy and healthy vibes your way. A little backstory: I had been growing my hair for quite some time (photo attached). But due to an enormous amount of stress, my hair started falling out like it never had before. I was finding hair all over my house, in my car, and handfuls would fall out anytime I washed it. At one point I was seriously considered buzzing it all off, but ended up chopping it to my shoulders (photo attached). At least this way, the hairs that were leaving my head would be shorter. After cutting it myself, I was terrified to go and get it cut even shorter - but I finally gathered enough strength to book an appointment. Thank goodness it was at PS with Bahar, and I wish I would have made the appointment sooner. I have been going to Bebe at Parks's salon for about a year and a half now. She is amazing! I have long hair with layers and I have never been satisfied until I met her. She makes my hair look like I just walked out of Vogue. She has also done my make up for my birthday on December. It was exquisite. She is so easy to work with, and she does magic with my hair. This is a legit salon. I've never had my haircut here but my wife has had her hair shampooed here 4 times due to her breast cancer and not being able to wash her hair herself. Catlin has been nothing short of amazing, patient, kind, helpful and professional in shampooing my wife's hair each time. She is very warm and personable. One time Catlin wasn't available when my wife needed a shampoo and we had another stylist instead. She wasn't as thorough or patient as Catlin. We suspect she was trying to upsell my wife on a haircut indirectly LOL. "Why don't you cut your hair to. It'll wash better" haha. A little sneaky. But my wife was in so much pain at the time that the last thing she wanted was to sit and get a haircut. But Catlin has been awesome. Heather does a great job with my highlights. I have stubborn coarse hair and she is able to work on ensuring my grays are covered and my hair looks great. I do not recall anything bad happened... they could just simply told me they can't do that first place...they didn't have to make me feel confused on what on earth could make them uncomfortable.
