I've been coming to see Alex Thomas for quite some time and her color and cut makes me feel brand new! Love her!

I have recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and my hair has been falling out from Chemotherapy. I couldn't think of a better stylist to see other than Alex to style and cut my hair so that I don't continue seeing clumps of hair all over my house. The feeling of having your hair fall out in clumps is not a good one, and I wanted to be more in control. In about a week or two, I will have Alex shave my head completely. I had a nice day at Kenneth Brown Salon with Alex playing with different lengths of hair just so I could see the different stages and changes. She lifted my spirits and took care of me and we laughed alot. Eventually my hair will be gone, but I'm so happy I decided to see Alex this weekend to make me feel good again. If I could do zero stars, I would! I had an appointment with Andrea last Saturday and left with the 'Karen starter kit.' My hair was cut In a Bob but needed a trim. I told her she could take up to an inch off. I explained that I did not like highlights to be one colored skinny steaks, I liked them to be a little fuller (chunkier) and lived in, so I showed Andrea a picture of what I wanted. I told her I liked my hair to be all one length and the line of my hair to be blunt. I should have known she didn't have the skill set to do what I asked when I caught a quick glimpse of panic run across her face when I showed her the picture of what I wanted. Four hours later, Andrea is washing the bleach out of my hair. I go sit in her chair and notice that I have skinny streaks of highlights that look nothing like what I wanted. My heart started racing and I'm thinking to myself, this chick completely ignored what I told her I didn't want My highlights to look like. She proceeds to cut the back of my hair Into a rounded A line cut. You know the "Can I speak to your manager" cut. (See pictures if you don't know what I mean.) she turns me around, and I'm looking at my hair trying to figure out wha to do because I can see she clearly did not understand the assignment. I asked her to "take some of the weight out of it because I like my hair to be light and airy... My last mistake! She gets done and I'm just beside myself. I'm trying to explain to her, this was not anything close to the picture I showed her and she starts blaming me. At that point, I was like, I need to leave. all I could think about was getting to my car because I was about to lose it! She had the audacity to tell me she wouldn't charge me for the cut and said it'd be $180 for the highlights. I literally went to Target on my way home and got a box of dark hair color and died my hair dark that night! I feel like she should take that $180 and invest in a refresher course on current haircutting techniques. read more

I've been coming here for about 8 years. On my second stylist as my first wonderful stylist Adam moved away. I now have Song style my hair. He is truly amazing. I needed a haircut ASAP! Lucky for me this salon is open on Mondays. I have never been. It's in the same shopping center a few doors down from Handel's ice cream. The salon is large and spacious and is very clean. The staff is super friendly. Hedi did my haircut and was not only friendly but very attentive to my needs. She did exactly what I wanted and took her time. I got a dusting or trim of 1" of dried split ends, freshened up my long layers and keep the straight across or blunt like ends. I came to see Maryam after I had the worst highlight job done on my hair. before she began working on my hair she listened to what I didn't like and what I wanted. after she told me what my options were and let me decide how to fix it. she did an amazing job!
