Went here because I was looking for a new hair stylist. The woman who I was scheduled with was combative and rude. I came there for a haircut not to get fertility advice or life suggestions from a woman who's name I don't know. She also left me in the chair alone , never offered me a water, didn't speak to me unless she was asking me wildly personal questions and providing inappropriate and unwelcome advice. I'm sure there are lovely people who provide services there. This experience with this particular woman was atrocious. read more

I was on chemo for a 1 year and 10 months. I let my hair grow out for another year and 1/2. It came back like always, very thick and was now a little above my shoulders. I chose Salon Diva because it is rated #1 Salon in O.C. This was a huge deal for me, first haircut after chemo and I was ok paying a little extra then I usually do. I went to my last hairstylist for 20 years and could no longer make the long trip to the valley. I showed Colleen three pictures on my phone (very similar) of what I wanted. I had hair color and the cut. $200.00 including tip. When I got home I was shocked. I looked like a bird! Hair in the middle and little hair on the side and a buzz cut all around the head with a straight line in the back. No creativity no layers or texturizing, like the pictures I showed her. I asked her several times, can you do this cut? She, said, "No problem". When people came over to visit, we could not help but laugh at my new haircut however, I cried when I was alone. It Looked like my husband did it with his eyes closed. I had no choice but to buzz cut the rest of my hair. I called Colleen who is the owner of Salon Diva and shared with her exactly what I wrote and she could of cared less, said OK and hung up. Lesson learned? Just because its voted #1 does not mean they have integrity or business ethics. read more

I've been going to Brooke at Salon Diva for a few years for my highlights and cut, she always does a great job and I get so many compliments on my hair! I love the atmosphere at Salon Diva, very friendly staff. Brooke always tells me how she loves the owner, Coleen, and it's like a little family there. Warning, avoid, if anything goes wrong at the salon salon will do absolutely nothing about it. They will not return your phone calls, they won't even reply to you here. They simply do not care. I had three haircuts with Ruchira, The first haircut was semi-decent because I had just had a hair transplant so it was impossible to correctly cut my hair anyways. However I was surprised that on the subsequent visits not only was my hair completely unsatisfactory, she screws up my hair right before I leave and then when I text message her about it, she basically threatens me with her attorney in the police over the fact that she won't offer you a redo if she screws up your hair, I asked her for blonde highlights, gold toned, my hair came out platinum white and the look on her face was that she knew she screwed it up, right at the shampoo bowl she knew that she made a mistake with my hair but she didn't offer to correct it right then, and she didn't offer afterwards. Most salons will fix your hair for free if they ruin it, but not this one. The highlights were oddly placed and a half inch to an inch off of my scalp, when I go for the second haircut she chops one side lower than the other with like a blunt cut that didn't match any of the rest of the hairstyle in completely stood out and made my hair impossible to style. It was so frustrating to try to style my hair that I texted her from the hotel room and basically instead of offering to fix it or reimburse me so I could have someone else fix it, this lady threatens me and then she compared it to eating at a restaurant and always wanting your meal for free and said that I was that type of person and I have never had any hairstylist be that unprofessional and threaten me with a lawyer over something that maybe cost $200. I mean what kind of person does that? Like what is wrong with them that they will act all friendly with you and ask you for postcards from Miami but is soon as you ask them to fix your hair do you already paid them for, they wanna call their attorney if you don't stop text messaging them? I mean the attorney cost $300 an hour, so everybody knows it's an empty threat but it's a threat and it becomes threatening language and she starts to use threatening language towards me and apparently she's done this to other people because they have complimented in written to me on yelp enough that I have no problem posting this and I don't care she sues me, I hope she does so I can you take her to court in a calendar of time so everybody can know that she needs to have her hairstylist license revoked. There is a reason she will only except cash that's because it's highly likely that you'll charge her back and he will have every right But since the salon was of absolute no help at all after calling them, I hold them equally is liable and tell everybody that they should not give this place business until they address these issues with ruchira. read more

Ruchira absolutely ruined my hair! That's why she will only take cash so you don't charge her back if she does a terrible job. I am in the first couple of haircuts for actually good, but then I asked her to do highlights in my hair and she bleached out white into it was gray, she refused to fix it. Then I make the mistake of going back before I move, because the haircut was fine but then she screws up my haircut right before I'm supposed to move and not only would she not redo it, she threaten me with an attorney I mean come on are you serious just because I complained? The salon will take as a no responsibility for who works there and they don't care. Unprofessional salon. I contacted this salon before making an appointment for my daughter's haircut. I told them my daughters age and they gave me the price for a kids haircut- $30, but I ended up be charged $65. I explained that I was quoted $30 over the phone and she argued back stating that no it's $30 and up. This was a very unprofessional experience. If you have concerns about your service in any way they will do everything possible to avoid you or THREATEN you with legalities. Nicole was the lady who did my hair and she told me to PRETEND to like the service she gave me and make her look good in front of her boss, and then told me she would SNEAK me in (behind the owners back) another day to finish the job she initially said she could finish in the timeframe we discussed. When I asked her to reschedule she brushed it off and addressed me in an unprofessional tone. Going here is a waste of time and their service is mediocre at best. The salon and the people that work there are extremely unhappy, unwelcoming, and rude. Did anyone teach them not to stare? I have tried a number of different salons and stylists since we moved here a couple of years ago. My search is done! Found my new salon! Danielle is absolutely spectacular with color and is extremely knowledgeable about what she does. I wanted to go from light ash blonde (also had the demarcation band) to more of an easy to maintain root melt/smudge, and Danielle was able to do it seamlessly! I called to do highlights and got an appointment with Erin. A "root bump" that a previous stylist at another salon did DARKENED my hair. (It was supposed to lighten it). I have waited a few weeks to post my experience at Salon Diva, but after leaving a message and email with pictures of my hair to the salon and having no response I'd like to save someone from a terrible hair experience. I came in the day before I was leaving for vacation (9/6) to have my hair colored ombré brunette with caramel. I brought pictures. Unfortunately, after putting bleach on my hair, my hair turned into blotchy uneven unblended blonde mess with streaks of silver and purple in my hair. I had dark brown hair prior and was mortified by my hair. I had to go home to pack as we where leaving for a cruise in the morning so it couldn't be fixed immediately. She said I could come back to fix it when I returned. I called 2 weeks ago to schedule a fix and the receptionist was booking me for mid October. I explained how bad my hair was and how bothersome it is. There was no accommodation or apology for the sloppy $200 hair color. I went somewhere else to have it fixed as I couldn't wait a day longer. Danielle is very sweet and normally I wouldn't complain but you can see by the pictures how bad it is and that one side of my head is platinum and the other is not. My hair resembled nothing like the picture I showed her (brunette ombré) or what I asked for. I've now spent almost $400 on my hair. I came to salon diva today to have Kerastase fusio dose for my hair , i found this salon online me as Kerastase provider in my area .it was my first visit to them and I walked in without apt , hoping for quick " moisture kick " for my hair . I love that its location is so unexpected yet, it is better than any of the over priced salons in the area including the ones located in the large resorts. I go to Danielle. She is amazing at color corrections. You should see some of the color corrections she has done for me. I have been going to Salon Diva for years! I found it conveniently down the street from my work and I have to say that Nicola is absolutely amazing! She is a great listener and gives fantastic advice and input for ideas I have for my hair. I had made the mistake and tried somewhere else to touch up my hair but I always end up running back to Nicola to fix the mistakes other stylists made on me. Unlike that made-up review that doesn't even spell her name right, Nicola goes out of her way to make her clients happy. I had a hectic schedule and really needed to get my hair fixed from bad experience from a groupon salon and she stayed an hour and a half after closing to take care of me! She also has ALWAYS assured her clients that if they aren't satisfied that they should return and she'd happily fix it for them. I've personally never needed to come back because she's always done a superb job at giving me the look I was wanting.
