My hair was a big project because she needed to fix my quarantine hair that hasn't been cut nor color touched up for over 8 months!! the location is in a tucked away little building next to the fire station (not in the shopping center with Times Supermarket as I initially thought). Cute little loft that looks like it may have been a house before but I was told it used to be a tiny bank with one teller window (still there). I liked the warm lighting and nice touch with chandelier. I think I found my spot. They also do men's cut and kids cut was well. I think I'm going to bring my mini me for a treat next time and get her a color strip for her birthday My stylist/colorist was Tanya but I think they are all fabulous! They've been doing this together for a while and I can tell they're a great team

"if I ever go blonde, I gotta go back to Pure Hair Salon with Heather" ...It only took me a span of 10 years of bad decisions and box dye... to get my butt back and say "blonde me babe" ...I basically had to wait and let my hair grow back as much as I could to let the icky red out! I never once doubted Heather though!...today was what felt like a much needed mental health break, healing hair journey, bringing my soul back to life! The Fact of the Problem is that this business sub contracts to other small independent…read morehairdressers and the Problem is that they have a Main listing telephone number for the main business under hairdressers! And the other individual businesses also have their own personal business phone numbers and So the business owner who Owns the Main business DBA; Shear Edge Salons has stated that they Don't necessarily and they don't normally answer their main business phone number because they All have their own phones and lines. But on this one occasion the business owner Evette had answered My phone call after Approximately 8 calls that were made and 3 voicemails that were left on their recorder over a two day period! But Had Never Had the decency to respond and return any of them! And I had even sent an email to them without receiving any response from the company Shear Edge Salons Upon further calling them back and asking for their owner Evette, a female employee who had answered my phone call had been Truly Very Rude and Very unprofessional to me as I tried to explain myself and the problem that was here? As I was trying to suggest what was wrong here out of the goodness of my heart being a former Business owner and Investigator myself. The female then told Me that I was to blame for my lack of understanding and that I was Wrong and that they had been in business for over twenty years? They Should Be Ashamed Of Themselves for their Poor business practices and their Lack of Respect for the customer here! I Will Not Be giving them No business and I Would NOT Recommend this kind of Very Truly Poorly Managed business services that Cannot even return their phone messages Nor their email letter to their potential customer! The Company has Zero Respect for their customer service and they Are Very Bad in their customer service support! And furthermore Upon My further investigation the Company Shear Edge Salons, L.L.C. Is Not in Good Business Standings with the State Of Hawaii D.C.C.A. Business Practices. The business owner is Not Evette Argayoso who had stated that She was the Owner of the said business but upon even more investigation it was learned that she is not the owner and is the Business Manager and operations business agent. The owner is a Julian Sandoval who should be more aware that he has employees who have Very Bad and unprofessional business practices and Are Bad for his business and his company because of that person who has definitely lost my business and anyone else that I know? And from One Business owner to another business owner who knows what Good are nd Proper Business Ethics should be Aware that this person is the Cause of Bad Business if they continue to work for your company and business

Maybe it's just me but I was left pretty unhappy with the end result. I chose to make an appointment with Gina because everyone was raving about her on yelp and her prices are very reasonable. I went in for highlights and a cut. After she was done doing the color and the cut she curled my hair before I could see the end result. Therefore, I left the salon feeling relatively happy with the end result. However, as I eventually washed my hair and put it up on a ponytail I realized exactly what she'd done to my hair. The highlights (or balayage as she had recommended instead) seem very chunky and you can very clearly tell they look unnatural and do not go all the way to the root of my hair. I've had balayage a few times before an I'm quite sure that's not what it's supposed to look like. I was greeted by Gina and she spent at least 20 minutes going over what I wanted, my hopes, the reality of how the color would look and take with my current hair color, and ensuring she understood what I was looking for. Gina took her time working on my hair - explaining what she was doing and why through each step. She definitely knew what she was doing and her confidence was reassuring. I was there for coloring for my wedding next month. This was to be a trial, with enough time to fix just in case. While I still need to see how much the color will fade with washes, I love it! It's darker than I imagined, but looks amazing! In the sunlight the red/burgundy color shows up and makes it look even better! I'm very glad that I have found someone on Oahu I can trust to keep my hair beautiful! Thanks Gina!
