The Fact of the Problem is that this business sub contracts to other small independent hairdressers and the Problem is that they have a Main listing telephone number for the main business under hairdressers! And the other individual businesses also have their own personal business phone numbers and So the business owner who Owns the Main business DBA; Shear Edge Salons has stated that they Don't necessarily and they don't normally answer their main business phone number because they All have their own phones and lines. But on this one occasion the business owner Evette had answered My phone call after Approximately 8 calls that were made and 3 voicemails that were left on their recorder over a two day period! But Had Never Had the decency to respond and return any of them! And I had even sent an email to them without receiving any response from the company Shear Edge Salons Upon further calling them back and asking for their owner Evette, a female employee who had answered my phone call had been Truly Very Rude and Very unprofessional to me as I tried to explain myself and the problem that was here? As I was trying to suggest what was wrong here out of the goodness of my heart being a former Business owner and Investigator myself. The female then told Me that I was to blame for my lack of understanding and that I was Wrong and that they had been in business for over twenty years? They Should Be Ashamed Of Themselves for their Poor business practices and their Lack of Respect for the customer here! I Will Not Be giving them No business and I Would NOT Recommend this kind of Very Truly Poorly Managed business services that Cannot even return their phone messages Nor their email letter to their potential customer! The Company has Zero Respect for their customer service and they Are Very Bad in their customer service support! And furthermore Upon My further investigation the Company Shear Edge Salons, L.L.C. Is Not in Good Business Standings with the State Of Hawaii D.C.C.A. Business Practices. The business owner is Not Evette Argayoso who had stated that She was the Owner of the said business but upon even more investigation it was learned that she is not the owner and is the Business Manager and operations business agent. The owner is a Julian Sandoval who should be more aware that he has employees who have Very Bad and unprofessional business practices and Are Bad for his business and his company because of that person who has definitely lost my business and anyone else that I know? And from One Business owner to another business owner who knows what Good are nd Proper Business Ethics should be Aware that this person is the Cause of Bad Business if they continue to work for your company and business read more

Evette has provided Me and my adult son impeccable Hair services since 2009. Yes, this Hair Designer has continued to persevere even through those hills and valleys during our global closure. I am grateful for my Licensed Hairdesigner when she puts herself available by notifying me at a last minute cancellation. Her services are with professionalism, grace, hard work. I appreciate and have full confidence in her abilities with her communication with me. Also listening to me when I mention about Haircut styles, color, highlighting hair techniques. Evette knows, works best on my head since I was a New Mom and even now in my fabulous 50's!! In 2009- I cannot believe it we started in her chair with 2 Hair aprons and now my son comes in between his Schedule of WCC College & work, standing 8 inches taller than me! read more

Shear Edge Salons - Husband, me and son! - Hair Salons Near Me - Kaneohe, Hawaii

This review is long over due and a must! I have known Terrilynn for over 27+ years! She was recommend by my niece back in the 90's and has been my hairstylist ever since!! I've stayed with Terrilynn not just because she's the best hairstylist but because she's honest, up front and always accommodating. She always keeps up to date on the latest styles and fashions and won't hesitate to tell me a particular style wasn't right for me but would still do it if I insisted. (I always listened). It's not the comfy chairs, the updated sinks or brand new equipment that makes the place. It's the feeling of family there, everyone is kind and always acknowledges you with a kind smile or wave. Thank you, Terri, for the years of friendship and Always making me look good!!!! Heheh read more

Evette is my Stylist. I have been going to her for many, many years. She is awesome - always provides me with exceptional service and beautiful precise haircuts. Every now and then I change my style. I bring in a photo and she cuts and styles it perfectly. Everyone in the Salon is so nice and friendly. They always greet you with a smile. read more

Competent, friendly and caring service. Best stylists in Kaneohe! Check them out! Family atmosphere!

My hair looked worse leaving here than it did when I arrived. The stylist needs to retire.

I've been coming to this place for years. I love the people who work here. They do a fantastic job taking care of my hair. My only problem with this salon is that in all the years that I've been coming here there has never been a single upgrade to the equipment. The sinks hurt my back and neck. The chairs are hard and uncomfortable. The dryers must be about 20 years old. If I were a new customer walking in here to make an appt, I'd walk right back out. That would be a shame since the hairdressers really are excellent. I do wish the owner would make the salon more comfortable. read more

Terrilyn Kaukau is an amazing Stylist! She has been doing my hair for years and always does a beautiful job! She is very knowledgeable on the latest trends and techniques and always asks questions to ensure she meets my expectations in the color and cut I want. Terri is very caring and always flexible and understanding when I need to reschedule my appointment. The salon is a very welcoming salon, and all the stylists are friendly and compliant with all the COVID restrictions that have been required. I wouldn't go anywhere else; Terrilyn will always be my stylist! read more

This place is a hidden gem! Jeannette is AMAZING! Location: Windward shopping center, where ross, 24hr fitness and foodland are in Kaneohe. Parking: Parked at ross, its on the left hand side of ross, down that walkway on the right. Upon walking in Jeannette was already waiting for me, and I was early. She was pleasant gave me a hug and already made me feel as though i'd been coming here for years. The decor in the place looks like an old school hair salon that never got revamped, but this places talent doesn't need any fancy stuff, THEY are what you come here for, not the decor! You can tell each hairdresser had their own regulars in their chairs and it was a comforting feeling. Jeannette and I briefly spoke about what I wanted and a couple hours later I emerged like a pretty little butterfly out of a cocoon! She knew exactly what I want and she delivered! I WILL BE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! Love everything and everyone at this salon and would highly recommend going here! read more

This is my favorite salon, by far!! Keratin treatments, color, cut, updo, styling for the "big date!" They do it all - Janett is my stylist and she's the best, but when she isn't able to fit me in, she recommends her co- workers and they take care of me just as well!! I highly recommend this salon!! read more

I've been coming here since I was little and always enjoy getting my hair cut here. All my major hair changes have been done here: highlights, color, or chopping off all my hair. I don't trust anybody else to cut my hair. I'm not always sure what my hair will end up like (I just say 'okay'), but they know what looks good and they make it look awesome. Solid place. Everbody has regular clients that come in all the time, so if you can get an appointment take it. Laurie is the best. read more

My first visit was an emergency situation in which my regular stlyist located in HNL was unavailable for our shceduled time. Yikes, things happen, so understandable for sure. Yikes part is: I was scheduled to be on travel for two weeks in a couple of days and my head waqs a hot mess. I frantically searched Yelp for another salon but located in my neighborhood simply to save time and hope for the best possible outcome. When I called Shear Edge they were soooooo pleasant and just lovely people to talk to. After explaining my urgent situation I was able to snag an appointment with Michelle for the next day. Yay! She totally rocks. Though she had never touched my hair prior, she was able to cut and color my hair as good if not better than my usual gal in HNL. I am a fan for life and will continue to see Michelle. Thanks Michelle and to everyone at Shear Edge. Thanks for helping a chick with an emergency and going way above and beyond to get me in and make me fabulous for travel. And Dudes, there are always guys too in the salon when I go. So don't let my chick talk sway you. it's not exclusively female. Their product pricing is very reasonable too if you are looking for name brand stuff. read more

I used to be a regular at Shear Edge when I was in high school and I've always been happy with the service and the cut. I've been to a few of the hair stylists there and I've always been happy. My first choice is always Pam, but all of the ladies there are very good and give great service. I really like that Pam pays attention to detail but is still pretty quick and she's always so nice! After a few years of just doing my own hair (buzz cut), I made an appointment with Pam and like always, I was very happy with the whole experience, she even gave me free can of hair product! Great place! read more

I've been coming here since I moved to Kaneohe about 5 years ago. Pam is wonderful and has a lot of stories to tell which passes the time FAST! She even cuts my son's hair...since he was 1, and he LOVES her and getting his hair cut by her. She's very patient with him and his mom! This is a very neighborhood type salon where everyone knows everyone, like a big happy family! All of the stylists are very nice! Pam always does a great job on me too with coloring and haircuts, her head massages make me fall asleep! read more

These woman know what they are doing!! My girl is Mylan, she does eyebrows like a pro!!!

Asked if a recommendation could be made for someone who is knowledgeable about Polynesian coarse hair types. Unfortunately, it was not a good fit and was very disappointed. However, the crew at the salon is very nice and professional. read more

Friendly staff and great price $35. I had Pam and she was very pleasant and really listened to my requests.
