After my horrible experience at supercuts Tustin, I stopped here to see if I can get a better service. I explained that I recently had surgery and couldn't wash my own hair. She said shampoo is $5. The girl who serviced me was really nice and thoughtful. She took her time and carefully washed my hair twice, and then rinsed me off carefully. I was really happy with the way she treated my hair gently. So I decided to let her dry my hair. In the end, I paid $25 plus 20% tip for the happy service. Some people are just better than others. So when you find a good one, it's a keeper. read more

I would not recommend this place!! Called and was told come in 15 mins. Got there, checked in and was told by Donald I was next. Sat down two people were taken before me! I ask Donald did you forget about me? You said I was next, what happened? He had the nerve to tell me he did not know what was going on, he had nothing to do with how customers are taken. REALLY! I walked in today after being turned down at Shadows for a walk in. I am so happy I did! I was immediately greeted and invited to sit down and wait as I would be next in line. Danielle was knowledgeable and professional and got me in and out. The price was 20 something which I couldn't believe! I almost paid 50 plus at shadows which would have been a huge mistake! Worst haircut experience ever. Nightmare hair cut. Customer service was completely un acceptable. I even made an appointment online first. But when I came in the two ladies barely even acknowledged I was there, then I sat there patiently for about 10-15 minutes past my appointment time. But when they were finished with the current customers, they had a 3rd lady come out from the back and cut my hair. But she was actually doing women's hair coloring in the back so the whole time she was super rushed and I could tell she didn't want to cut my hair because she probably makes alot more money coloring hair, and since she already had women with color setting in she didn't want to upset them. I even offered to wait until one of the other women was free or when she was done with coloring but she insisted to do the cut. She gave me what I thought was good advice about how and what length we could tapper my hair cut. But none of that mattered because she was so rushed she didn't even follow what she said she was going to do. And on the top of my hair cut there's all these spaces where there's hair cut really un even and it ls really standing out since other parts are alot shorter. I have really bad eye sight too and I told her that so I asked her if she thought it was even and since I have a receding hairline i specifically asked to tapper the back and sides so the top would not be too short and the back and sides would look shorter and cleaning below. Honestly it went so fast I don't even recall if she took the time to blend any of it in with scissors. It was a total military buzz job. And then to top it off when I went to pay I told her I pay for the monthly haircut plan. So she explained to me that the monthly haircut plan is only for the locations in Newport Beach. And then she went on and on about how the Newport parlors should tell the customers, well she obviously communicated this is an on going issue, so why doesn't her store have some form of notice also. It's a two way street since they're all called super cuts. So I paid $30 and change for her totally screw up my hair cut and make me feel like they didn't even want me as a customer. read more

The haircut was more than fine but the wait time was ridiculous. I went in to get my haircut on a Friday evening (around 7) and I was told that there would be a 20 minute wait even though I was the only one waiting. Only 2 others were getting their hair cut and the one stylist who was free was just sitting around not doing anything. The overall experience was fine and that's ok because this is a budget place. But they did charge me $20 )w/out tip) for the haircut which I consider to be on the pricier side just because their service doesn't match up to that of Floyd's or Carlton Hair's. read more

Have always gotten great service here. Alejandra is the stylist I see for cut and color, and she's always very quick and professional. There are several negative reviews that say this location doesn't take appointments. All Supercuts have never taken appointments ever in all the years I have been going. The only thing that's different is now you can check in early on the day you want to have a cut or color, but it is only day of you can do it. So technically I would still not consider this an appointment. So the negative reviews on rudeness in taking appointments are unfounded and shouldn't be considered in whether or not you go to this location. read more

If you're looking for a cheap and effective barber or hair salon, this place makes the cut (dur hur hur). It costs $15 for a haircut. Don't expect to be pampered with massages, free beverages and whatever else you may get at a $40+ joint. Two of the reviews claim that there's always a long wait. I've been here 3 times, without scheduling anything, and haven't had to wait more than 10 minutes, if that. I can't speak for women, who may have very complicated and particular hairstyles, and might want a more reputable (and expensive) hair salon. For men though, if you want a decent hair cut, consider going here. Most of you probably don't even get complicated haircuts, and you can easily do without the fringe benefits. There's no need to throw away money unnecessarily. Or on second thought, go right ahead and spend $30-40 on your haircut; you'll be helping our troubled economy. If you want a poor hair cutting experience, rushed stylists, and continually rising prices, you've come to the right place! As a bonus, you might get a bloody ear which is what I got when I came here one time. The stylists cut the back of my ear with the trimmer blade and did not even tell me about it! It was not until I got back in my car and felt something that I realized I was bleeding. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that she did a shoddy job on my hair too. I looked like I had just been licked to death by a poodle. I went back the next day and asked to speak with the manager and told her about the bloody ear experience and even showed her the blood stained receipt that I used to initially clean my ear. She saw how bad my hair was and took pity on me by offering to fix the mess the stylist made. This is by far the worst Supercuts I have ever been to. Actually, I have never even let them cut my hair. Both times I tried to come to this place, I waited for over 30 minutes as the only person in the lobby, while 5-6 other people walked right past me because they called in. While I understand that Supercuts allows this, most locations understand that if you have been waiting before the other people called in, that logically you are ahead of them. Phi-phi is the best hair dresser! I've been coming here for a couple of years now, even after moving to Riverside 6 months ago. The place is always clean, people are nice and they don't push sales to you add much add other places. Got a haircut from Robin yesterday morning. Best haircut I've gotten this year. She knew exactly what I wanted. At the end after she washed my hair I felt that my hair in the front was still a little bit too long. Since we already had cut and washed my hair she told me if I still felt that my hair was still too long that I can come back the next day to get it cut. Since she is the professional I listened and later I realized my hair was perfect. Turns out I was wrong. I think I felt that my hair in the front was long because it was still wet after we washed it so it had the illusion of it being longer. I have been getting my hair cut at Supercuts (In Mission Viejo) for quite a few years and have never had an issue. Sadly it seems that all Supercuts are not the same. I walked out today. This is the third time I have visited this store and it is absolutely the last. The first time I asked for a trim and pretty much got scalped - as this was for a job interview shorter was probably better but if you walk in with hair and walk out looking like Kojak, there is a problem. The second time I had to wait a very long time, I assumed that I had caught the staff at change-over / smoke break time. This time I barely felt like they had taken anything off, despite asking for a trim. The third and final time was earlier today. I walked in at 4:10PM on a Saturday and was told 'ten, maybe fifteen minutes'. There where two people in the waiting area - a grubby, somewhat shabby place to spend time. Several others arrived while I sat there, they too were told 10-15 minutes. Both people in front of me were called. Then two others that had walked in. At 4:55 I walked to the counter and waited for the receptionist to stop talking on the phone - to her mother I believe - and asked her how much longer - 10-15 minutes. I mentioned that I had already sat there for forty minutes and the sole copy of Motor Trend held no further appeal and that several other people had queue-jumped. She shrugged. So I walked away. Luckily I stumbled into Sand Canyon Barbers and got a better haircut with zero waiting...... Supercuts - you lost another customer..... read more

Short hair, thick... I consider my hair pretty low maintenance so I come here usually every 3-4 weeks. I love this place. Simply because I'm recognized as a regular so they all know me by my first name, get me in n out in 15-20 mins, and sometimes comp my haircuts! I have never once been turned away from a Supercuts, but today was the first time. I walked in at 7:30pm and the lady at the desk tells me their wait is 1 hour and 40 min and that they close at 9pm. She did not even ask me if I wanted to schedule an appointment. They only had one person was getting their haircut and and nobody was waiting. To be honest she did not seem like she was happy I walked in the door. I only wanted a quick cut as I don't really have much hair away. I just moved to Irvine and I won't be coming back to this place anytime soon. I also want bring my two kids, my wife or any of my other family. I usually go to the Supercuts closer to my house because the girls there usually do a great job and I love it there, but I decided to go to one closer to my work today. I went in to get my bangs trimmed and since I didn't have time to do my hair in the morning and had a date night tonight, thought I'd ask how much it would be to get my hair straightened. I have finer hair, just a bit of it and it's slightly past my neck and she said $30. I passed because that's too high to me. After styling my bangs, she didn't blow dry them or anything to give me an idea of how they looked after cutting, which wasn't ideal as well. So sadly I didn't love the experience here and I think with the rising prices, I'd rather just go to a regular salon. read more
