I decided to go to Supercuts recently because they had the best ratings/reviews in my area. I hadn't gotten a haircut in over a year so I was excited to finally chop some of my hair off. First of all, I checked in for a 5:00PM appointment online and when I walked in, I was told that I had to wait in my car for the next available stylist. I waited in my car for a little over half an hour and honestly, I should have just left. I had very long hair and asked for 7 inches cut off with long layers and side bangs. What I got was over a foot of my hair cut off, an uneven haircut, and I was completely unaware that they were not allowed to use blow dryers or hair straighteners to style my hair until my hairstylist asked me if there was anything else I wanted to do to my hair at the very end. I walked out of Supercuts feeling embarrassed and it is going to take a while to grow my hair back out to my desired length. I could tell that my hairstylist and the other hairstylist knew that my hair was not at all what I wanted. They kept making comments about how much hair I had left and my hairstylist kept asking me how long it usually takes for my hair to grow out (probably because he knew that he messed up). If I am being completely honest, this is the worst haircut I have ever gotten. The only good thing about my haircut was the bangs. I didn't get the long layers that I asked for and now I have super short hair that I never wanted. My stylist was nice, but he totally messed up my hair. I usually feel confident about myself after a haircut, but now I feel embarrassed. I would have said something while I was there, but I didn't want to be rude. When I asked if my hair could be straightened at the very end, my hairstylist told me that he couldn't blow dry or straighten my hair and that he would hopefully be able to straighten my hair the next time I come in, AND that he would be able to give me a more accurate haircut the next time. There definitely won't be a next time! I am so disappointed. read more

Jenny is amazing! I'm not one to be loyal to hairstylist because I could never find a good one. But now, all has changed. Jenny did an amazing job, I have thick brown hair that weights on my head heavy. Ponytails are a nightmare, as you can imagine. Jenny went above and beyond, she listened to my concerns and got straight to it. My hair needed to be layered and textured. This is a new Supercuts that opened up around February. It is the latest addition to the Green Valley at Sunset Trader Joe's Shopping Mall. It occupies part of a former Blockbuster by the Sunset Road Check City entrance. It was a "Get a normally $16.99 haircut for $10.99" that led me to this Supercuts. In reality because this shopping center is an errands hub, I would of eventually given this Supercuts a try. The Manager and Hair Stylist Fate Navers greeted me before he cut my hair. He accepted my coupon and let me know that I could use the "$5 off a product" coupon towards a haircut by the end of July. He imputted my name into the Supercuts computer base before starting on my haircut. Fate did a thorough job cutting my hair. The end result was a good haircut. The reason that I am giving three stars as in "good" is that the normal hair cut price of $16.99 is a bit too high for this haircut. Honestly both Henderson and Las Vegas are flooded with hair salons that provide the exact hair cut for equal or less money. With further honesty I felt that my hair cut should of included shampooing my hair at the sink. This is a service that many hair salons provide with the hair cut. I walked out of this Supercuts with a good haircut and into a good shopping mall. It is nice to get a haircut and walk into a shopping mall with Trader Joe's, Subway, Green Valley Grocery, Dollar Tree, Mother ship Coffee, and errand stops. It is this convenience with a good haircut that could bring me back. read more

I moved to Vegas about a year ago however split my time between vegas and california so I tend to get my haircuts when I travel back to CA, however with the pandemic going on I have not left Vegas in a while and my hair has gotten really out of control, I looked up barbers and notice almost all the ones in Vegas charge 50+ for a mens cut, so while I tend to avoid places like supercuts, fantastic sams, great clips due to the overwhelmingly bad reviews this location had pretty good reviews so I decided to give it a shot, and I am glad that I did. I came in at 9:15 and they opened at 9, there was only one stylist and she was already cutting someones hair and told me she had 1 other in line in front of me and wouldn't get to me until about 10:45, I understood as places are running with fewer staff these days and decided to wait in my car, I notice the second person hair cut finishing at about 10:10 and by 10:15 Shelby was waving me in instead of letting me sit in my car until 10:45 which is a plus for me. Shelby customer service was on point, she was the only employee so had to answer the phone constantly but always apologized and excused herself to do so as to not speak in my ear, she also didn't rush me at all. My hair is thick and tends to grow really fast so I ask for it to be cut a specific way that is usually not how its done, Shelby understood and actually listened and gave me feedback and choices, I made my choices and she continued to cut my hair checking in with me constantly to make sure I am liking the length or how it looks, after the haircut was done she asked if I wanted product in my hair and I said sure, she put some in and it looked great, I honestly had low expectations going into Supercuts but she blew them out of the water. I will be going back to supercuts and especially to Shelby from now whenever im in town and in need of a haircut. read more

I feel like what I want is not complicated, but somehow good hairstylists are hard to find in this city. I've tried high end and low end and everything in between. Sometimes I get a decent cut, but almost never the cut I asked for. Anyway, yesterday was my 2nd time to this location. There was about a 10 minute wait since it was an impulse drop in and I wasn't on the list. No big deal. I told Dina M. what I was looking for which was basically just a trim and taking some of the weight off. Nothing drastic or dramatic. She did such a fantastic job. I haven't been this excited about a cut & a hairstylist in years. I really felt like she listened to me and delivered on what I asked for. So after the great reviews, I took my girlfriend to this location. Traisha was amazing. My girlfriend doesn't do well with getting her cut and furthermore new people. She listened to what she wanted done, she took her time cutting her hair. As she cut she check in with her and they had a really nice chat. I originally came in because of its decent reviews but I won't ever be coming back. A man by the name of Fate did my haircut and completely missed what I told him I wanted. My hair was approximately 2 inches past my shoulders and I told him I wanted it to be just above my shoulders all the way around and to please texture the ends a bit so that it didn't look super blunt. He simply said okay and started cutting. He starting from the back which obviously didn't let me see or notice just how much he was cutting. Highly disappointed in his overall work. I did let him know he cut much more than what I wanted and he said my haircut looked cute- again disregarding what I said. I know I can pull off a shorter cut and it's not a big deal but once my hair was completely dried- I noticed my hair is completely uneven. I'm embarrassed of this cut but I'll post a picture anyway. read more

I was in a pinch and needed to have my hair colored. Since I was at a new place with a new stylist I was a bit apprehensive to say the least. Lucky for me I was paired with a stylist, Jonnise. (I hope I'm spelling that correctly) She immediately put me at ease. A few weeks prior I decided to use a box dye to try covering my roots at home to save some money. My hair was darker at the roots now and the color was flat. I was not satisfied with the results. I hoped it could be fixed. She said she'd do her best. Not only was the color seamless, I looked healthier. A slightly better version of the self that walked in. She told me she customized my color by blending the colors. I'm not exactly sure I just know I loved the results. I learned a couple of things that day. First, not to use a box dye if at all possible and how to pick a color if necessary. Second, some accidents are not bad because this one lead to an amazing stylist. She knows her colors. I've decided to make an appointment for a cut. I will update the review after. read more

This is the first time I've used a Super Cuts instead of Great Clips. They were a bit more expensive but the extra touches, like the fact that she went over her work several times quickly and efficiently and she used a hot towel to wipe away any loose hairs at the end were nice touches. The stylist was polite but lacked a friendly warmth. I created and use Jane's Worldwide Public Restroom Rating System, "RR" for short from 1 to 10, it goes like this : 1= a five gallon bucket, bring your own TP maybe an old ripped shower curtain hung over some nearby wall or bush for privacy. To 10= beautifully appointed and decorated, Separate sitting area with floor length mirror, Private Baby changing/feeding room, attendant, free products, i.e. tampons/pads, comb, hairspray, lotion etc. You just want to hang out there for awhile. These come along rarely. Example a 5 is basically clean and has everything you need - privacy lock, toilet, hot/cold sink, hand soap, something for hand trying. It doesn't have to be pretty. Absolutely stoked when Supercuts moved into my corner next to not only the conveniently located UPS but also, Trader Joe's, the bank, the library... Now I can get my hair done (looking fabulous) while running errands like picking up mail, grocery shopping, and bank runs. In addition to being conveniently located (next to everything), they have a great staff! I'm partial to Jonnise but my fiance also really enjoys getting his hair cut by Scarlett. Seriously, the people that work here are amazing (I include in this the manager whose name I always forget because I'm the worst!). Most recently, Jonnise and I were attempting to coordinate schedules because I am a borderline workaholic and have the most inconvenient hours... Needless to say, it was impossible so, we just decided to squeeze me in yesterday and work on my balayage and hair trial (wedding shower in T-7 days).
