Let me start by saying I've never felt the need to write a review in my entire life. I have never written a review ever. But yesterday was the worst and most poorly done hair cut I have ever received. I walked in to the Supercuts by Publix off 34th and sat down for a trim, wash, and dry. Selena (the woman who cut my hair, she had a shave on her lower hair line and had her hair up in a messy bun, I believe that was her name, I called this morning to double check as well) asked me what I wanted. I told her I have been growing my hair out for my upcoming wedding. I told her I want to cut off the dead ends but to take as little off as possible and do a straight across cut, pretty basic. I then gathered a few pieces around the front of my hair and said that they normally cut these shorter to frame my face. Also it was apparent that was the case because those were the only pieces that were at a different length than the rest of my hair. She said ok and got to cutting. She told me she'd cut off no more than an inch and if that'd be ok, I said great! She trimmed my hair and asked me how it looked, I said great. *At this point she had cut it straight across and left it long as I asked. She then started to frame my face (from what I believed at the time with the pieces I had specifically showed her) and didn't say another word or ask me any more questions until the end. She showed me my hair and she had angled my entire hair. I told her that's not what I had asked for to which she responded with a "tip" to help me better communicate to my next stylist. I notified her I have come to this specific Supercuts several times and gotten the same hair cut, giving the same explanation, and never had any issues. She apologized and chalked it up to a "miscommunication". She then gave me a discount and I went on my way extremely sad and upset. When I got home I brushed out my hair. The cut she had attempted to do (even though that's not what not what I wanted) was done HORRIBLY. My hair looks two different lengths with the front being very short and the back being longer (not blended at all). Not to mention, while "blending" she also missed so many pieces of hair around my head when cutting and I now have long hair where she attempted to cut it short and visa versa. Also, in addition to this cut, I left with damp hair although I had asked for a blow dry. I am extremely disappointed and upset because this now has ruined my engagement photos and my soon to be wedding photos, something I've looked forward to my entire life and something I've been trying to grow my hair out for two years now to which she took away in less than an hour. Now not only is that gone but I have to pay extra money to have my hair re-cut/fixed (to which they'll have to cut it even shorter because of how uneven she made it) and to buy vitamins/supplements to help it grow. Not to mention the extensions I'll now need for my engagement photos and possibly my wedding photos. I'm at a loss and I know writing this won't take back what happened to me yesterday, but it needed to be said and shared. Of course this will be my lessened learned to going to supercuts to someone I do not know nor trust. It just stinks because I've never ever had an issue like this with them before, and of course this happens close to my wedding. read more

Don't waste your money here! They don't give you what you ask for and are unprofessional. My good friend went to get a hair cut and they completely shaved his head! He asked for a normal fade (his hair was a bit long) so you had a lot to work with in terms of styling and how he wanted it cut. They did not listen and made his hair all the same length. Went up there to ask for a refund, they refused and was VERY unprofessional about it. read more

Came in asking for a high fade with 3 inches left on top, left with a complete buzzcut with NO FADE. Refusing refunds and when questioned, MANAGER RANISHA will request a FIGHT in the parking lot. Unprofessional, terrible service, and stylists don't listen to requests. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Vivi Ann! I went to her for a color correction after being sorely disappointed by my first-ever dye job (done in a different salon), and I am beyond thrilled with the results. Vivi Ann was patient and professional in answering my flood of questions, and she made sure to talk me through what to expect and what the process would look like. So if you are looking for a haircut where they DONT listen to what you want done with your hair, this is perfect. I went in asking for a pretty dramatic cut, I have very long hair, too my butt basically. I wanted to trim a good length off, taking around 6 inches off to start with and then to go shorter based off how it looked. Well, I got 5 inches taken off instead -_-, still wasn't short enough so I said cut 2 more inches(I'm not attached to my long hair so please just chop it lol). The stylist kept referring to my cut as just a trim, so I also reminded the stylist cutting my hair that I'm not just doing a trim and I need a full cut: trim, layers, framing etc (it's been years since my last cut so it's well over due at this point). And they said ok, when I asked for layers they proceeded to put "layers in my hair that you can't tell are there, so they're really subtle, but don't worry they are there." Needless to say the haircut may not LOOK bad but this is definitely not what I asked for at all(my hair literally looks identical, just 7 inches shorter ). The communication between the stylist and myself was "lost in translation", it's important to make the customer feel heard and understood so they get the results they want. I'm not sure if the stylist wanted to try and mimic the hair I currently have or what exactly but it's just not it. read more

Love this place. Request Zoe she really always takes her time to be friendly and give a great haircut. This place is a lot less busier (empty most of the time) than the Supercuts in butler plaza and their service, when you make sure to ask for Zoe, is great! read more

This is the only place I get my hair cut, they always cut the best hair and it's always very consistent no matter which stylist you have. I was recently in a big rush to get to a company event and had to go close to closing time and Alma said she would still help me and was very understanding and did it with a smile the whole time. Been here a dozen times and always happy with my haircut.

These girls can't cut hair to save their lives... Literally. I've been here on three different occasions and it was horrible every single time. I don't think the girls get along and they're always reeeeeeally slow even if u have an appointment. I've decided to go to a more urban barbershop instead where they know how to cut and style. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. These girls were so lazy. I was sitting in the chair going over a hair color and she made an excuse saying my roots needed to grow out more so she couldn't do it. My roots were two inches. I waited a couple of months since my last hair dye. I ended up going back to my regular stylist who did the color that day. There's a reason this store has 2 stars. read more
