The reason for only 4 stars is that they don't keep track of your visits. I'd like to request the same stylist if I like my haircut. Partly my fault because I've written names down but can't seem to find it when I need to. Anyway, I always hated spending an hour or more in the chair at full-service salons and, of course, paying for my discomfort. Supercuts is fast and painless at the register. We went to a different location initially but ended up coming here after a pleasant phone call. They made 3 appointments for us and there was hardly any wait, maybe about 5-7 minutes. The salon was clean and well kept, lots of sanitizing going on. They enforced social distancing in the waiting area, and all 3 hair dressers were sweet, talkative, and efficient. They cut hair, answered the phones, sanitized-they had a lot on their plate but did it gracefully and with ease! Very poor communication and customer service. They had us waiting over 2 hours for a basic cut, when it was time for us to be serviced we were told that the "hair stylist" was on break. Total disregard for the time we sat there waiting. The cuts that we saw being made were lousy and uneven - avoid this place at all costs unless you do not care about having a quality haircut. read more

Took my 9 year old here as a walk-in. Supercuts has a new system since I have last been here--which was probably 12 years ago. They have an appointment system and we were informed that we can book the appointment online for future hair cuts. We were greeted immediately and even though there was 3 people ahead of us, they had a fill in from a different store, who took us after she finished up her client and cleaned up her station; thanks Taylor! Taylor was attentive to my son. Great conversation, haircut done per my son's request, & even a dance-off at the end! This was all around a 5-star treatment, especially from my son's perspective. He loved how she gave him a hot towel to his back neck and felt pampered. We will definitely be going back to see Taylor at the Shaw & Minewawa store (her regular store). Place used to be run great. I don't know if I am missing the better staff. The last two times I have checked in on-line but apparently "Victoria" aka "Vic" puts walk-ins ahead of online check ins. Whats the point of checking in online if you still have to wait for an hour? I am a busy person and have appointments to get to. If I can't schedule an appointment then its meaningless to do so. Vic also passed right over me on the list once. Twice now, when she is there I have ended up just walking out. She needs some correcting in her company policy appointment skills. read more

My female friend was visiting me from out of town for her 49th birthday. For her birthday gift, she wanted to get her hair done. I made the mistake of taking her here for a hair color "consultation" in the early afternoon of Sat 8/30/19. The whole vibe of this place was unwelcoming and unfriendly from the moment we stepped in the door. We were quoted an outrageous $231.00! For Supercuts? This isn't a high end Salon for goodness sake. What a joke. I literally laughed all the way out the door. I feel like the girl (didn't catch her name, but she had big dark hair) made that number up just to get rid of us because she didn't want to be bothered with doing the work involved with longer hair. I think it's really crappy that you say walk ins are welcome and then tell them they have to sit and wait to see if people who checked in online actually show up. Took my daughter to get her hair trimmed and walked in and at 9am and no one was in there. They leave me just sitting there saying they want to wait and see if the people from online show up before taking me. It's now 9:15am and a woman walks in and says she checked in online for a 10am appointment but can she just get it done now and they tell her oh sure and take her right back. That's complete bullshit. They could've easily of called by daughter back and trimmed her hair before people walked in. Instead they were talking and messing around with the hot towels. Today ended my 4 month wait for a haircut. Victoria is my stylist, and is the only one I will have touch my hair; I feel so fortunate to have found her after my stylist of 25 years retired. She wasn't the first person to cut my hair, but I can tell you she is now the only one who will be cutting my hair. She is amazing!!! She does more than listen.... she actuall hears you and she cuts your hair to your liking, so you will never have to fear a scissor happy stylist again. As soon as she finished cutting my hair for the first time, I knew my search for "My Girl" was over; Victoria had checked all the boxes. She is down-to-earth and easy to talk with. My hair looked like I had completely two different haircuts. Keeping in mind it was a dry cut and my hair was semi-curled. BUT the original stylist used no technique to ensure that the layers were blended. Nice gal, but the cut was awful. I came in a week later to have it adjusted and textured out. Courtney, THANK YOU. On April 18 at around 2:45 I went in for a hair cut and the wait wasn't too bad. I took a picture of how I wanted the haircut to look like from all angles. They finally called me and Hailey asked me. I showed her then I asked if she thought she could do it. She said yes. I explained that I wanted the Aline cut, layers, volume, a trim not a short cut because it took a long time to grow. She began to cut the back and was interrupted a few times to help others she left me to help the customers at the front coming in. She chopped it up, and paid more attention to the people coming in than getting my hair right. My hair was cut Choppy, no volume, definitely not an alone, the right side is shorter than the left side and now I have to wait to for it to grow. It was short and the front was shorter not an Aline at all. Do not recommend her at all. read more

We brought my son to this location for a quick haircut. Just a trim. We walked in and noticed no CUSTOMERS AT ALL. NO ONE WAITING. Two hairdressers were just sitting there doing NOTHING and told us they couldn't cut his hair without an appt. I laughed and said you rather sit there and not make any money than to do your job. I've been going to this Supercuts for a little while, but I never got rude treatment until today. I had a male hair cutter, who apparently didn't like the fact my hair was long. I don't like getting haircuts and sometimes circumstances prevent me from going in as soon as I might like. He made reference to needing "sheep shears." One mention might be semi-amusing. Repeated mentions were obnoxious. I also thought he was unnecessarily rough in positioning my head. I may not go back based on the treatment I got today. read more

If you are going to get layers and need your hair to look perfect for a trip, then you need to book an appointment with Andrea. A lot of stylists made me feel really bad about my hair when I want to have layers, they would always tell me that my hair is too straight so my layers will always come out choppy. But Andrea worked her magic and I am in love with my hair. She's understanding, approachable, and professional. Love her and I definitely found my hair stylist. :D read more

I would give Supercuts a four star but, they got what I call a lazy crew. I don't know their names but I do want to point out it is the the two youngest that work at the Shaw/Marks location. I blame management for their laziness and not them. Two reasons 1st, I got there at 2030 hours on a Thursday as they were sitting on their chairs they warned me they wouldn't cut my hair because I got there late. I then reminded them closing time was at 2100 so they proceeded to cut my hair. While getting my hair cut another customer came in at 2040 and one of the hair cutter said to the other "act like you are counting money to look like we are closing" then one did say "sorry we are closing". The man pleaded that his young daughter had played with the house scissors and really needed help with this problem. Shame on them for that I really hope they would not do that again. 2nd, two weeks later I decided to get my hair cut again this time much earlier on a Saturday afternoon with my wife and behold the lazy crew was there. The first thing the young guy said to me politely, "it will be a hour wait". I said, "I'll wait"! Then minutes later a lady came in and they told her the same thing they told me so the lady walked out. I told my wife, "what a shame, it would not take that long". I only waited 15 minutes for my hair cut. They both are great hair cutters but need to be reminded of the principal of good customer service. I will go back a 3rd time hopefully it will be a charm! read more
