I always have a good haircut when I come to thos location! The fact that they keep my notes in the system makes it so that I do not need to repeat myself everytime I come in for a haircut. read more

Supercuts - Hair Salons Near Me - Carson, California

Updating my original review to 5 stars because Maryleen is great at what she does and there is never a dull moment when Karen is around. ;)

I really needed a haircut and super cuts is by my house so my boyfriend suggested we go there cause they're professional. I don't remember the lady name but she was older and African American she asked how I wanted my haircut and I let her know I wanted to go short but not too short a lil passing my shoulders and I even pointed it out how long so she starts cutting and cutting and cut way more than what I wanted her too I looked like Dora the Explorer without the straight bangs then she dried my hair but not completely she also flat ironed it while it was damped and fried the right side of the front of my hair. I went home and cried never again will I go there is had to end up putting extentions in my hair cause it was way too short read more

So today I walked into Supercuts to see if I could get my hair lightened since at the moment my hair is faded to green and I want to change it to a different color. When i walked in, I was greeted by Karen, who was very nice and professional! She was awesome - 5 stars to her! She told me that she wouldn't be able to lighten my hair since it would technically be a color correction according to Supercuts standards, and that was okay. I understood that. Despite that, she insisted on doing a strand test to see if she might be able to do my hair. Anyways, throughout all of this, there was another woman (I didn't catch her name but she was an African American woman) kept bickering and talking about how my hair was going to fry and started talking to Karen saying "I'm not touching that." Yeah that's right. I heard you. Anyways, Karen asked this woman to do my strand test and it was obvious that she did not feel comfortable with performing that task and went on to bicker some more and eventually had me fill out a form that asked questions about my hair history like if I had allergies and when I had dyed my hair before (which I obviously had). It seemed like she was scared that i was going to sue them if my hair didn't come out right, which was ridiculous and the reason for the strand test. The entire time she was touching my hair, it felt like she was judging me. Karen asked if i had black dye in my hair which before I could answer the other lady answered with "YES" which i quickly corrected her with "no, I've never put black hair dye in my hair, ever." This woman made it clear how much she didn't want to do my hair. She kept saying how expensive it would be(which by the way I was more than willing to pay) and kept trying to discourage me. I felt so uncomfortable and unwanted and just told them to forget it since they obviously didn't feel comfortable with doing my hair, i was talking more to the other lady who was being really unprofessional and rude. I really hope someone talks to her and lets her know that she shouldn't make any of her customers feel uncomfortable in the future since it's bad for business. I wasn't even being rude or anything so I'm not sure what caused her to be that way. Her disrespectful attitude and behavior really left a sour taste in my mouth and I will not be returning to this location. Thank you, Karen, for being such a sweetheart! To the other lady: please remove the foreign object from your rectum. read more

Worst haircut experience. I had a thin black lady and my instructions were clear: keep the proportions the same on the top and sides, just cut off a little bit and make it a tad shorter. Simple right? Well first thing she does is use the clippers on the sides right above my sideburns it must have been a 3 because I could see my skin. I had a lot of hair before and now she took off all of it on the sides. It was exactly what I didn't want. After she did that it was just a disaster and the whole haircut she was just trying to fix her mistakes and she didn't even know what to do at times. I had to tell her how objectively bad it looked and she would try to fix it but just make it worse. She really was an amateur. So I give up and just leave. Can't believe I paid. I go to a different Supercuts to fix it. Not only do they fix it they also show me how bad the lady did on my hair. One side was noticeably longer than the other side.(something which I told the lady!) The hair on the top was horribly uneven. Thankfully this second Supercuts I went to fixed my hair. They couldn't believe how bad the first lady cut my hair. They thought the only explanation was that she had carpel tunnel or was losing her vision lol. The sad fact was that she could not follow a simple instruction that I told her several times befoRe the cut. Either way not going back and she should not be cutting hair read more

Those two Karens over here are awesome!!! Thank you ladies! Did haircuts for me and my brother and they were both great!!!

A phenomenal Supercuts location! The operator (Parmod) and his staff are phenomenal! Clean and safe environment, and top quality service!

My usual spot was not open, so came to super cuts, was helped by Ana. She was great! She cut like a half inch of my dead hair off and then textured it. I didnt even know what that was but I'm glad she gave that as an option. She also quickly with gentle hands straightened my hair for me. I think i will for sure return to her in the future. Im a simple person so i really enjoyed this experience. read more

This review is for Karen. I went in and karen was arguing with her partner over how she didnt want to take me in and it wasnt even late. When karen finally did start to help me, she insisted on having my hair done a certain way. I thanked her and said I will come on another time. Horrible attitude!! read more

I like that they take walk-ins. They close at 8pm and I walked in at about 7:45 and Moni took me in without questions!!! Thanks

My fiancé went in today for a hair cut and the cut and fade was not satisfactory at all. First he asked for a 1/2 and the cut does not seem like it's a half at all it's shorter. There is no apparent fade it just goes from one size to another. We don't know the stylist's name but it was the mid-age black tall women . She is probably good with women's hair but it's apparent she cannot work with men's hair. read more

Karen & Karen did amazing work. I came in after another place messed my hair up and they pulled through and fixed it perfectly. Thank you guys so much. Seriously I know some people don't think supercuts is all that great but this one with these two amazing ladies putting in work saved my hair and will do an amazing job on yours! read more

I was helped by Karen who did an amazing job. I had a good idea of what I wanted except the bangs and she was able to suggest a cut that suits my face shape. Came here once since my old barber retired and Ana took care of me with an awesome haircut! I told her what I wanted and she went above and beyond what I had imagined! Arrived for a haircut and eyebrow waxing. Was basically shoved out by one of the stylists. We signed in for a haircut and eyebrow wax. After a 10 minute wait. Karen F. approached us and told us to come back at 3 for the "other" Karen A. We told her we couldn't come back at 3 and wanted a cut now. She kept insisting that we wanted the other Karen, which would have been nice as she definitely does a great job, but that wasn't option for us. She asked what kind of cut. We told her. She stared at us and then said "we are out of wax". What???? Why make us wait 10 minutes to let us know they were out of wax??? Why insist that we come back when that it not what we wanted??? I found her attitude hostile and demeaning. This calls for a complaint to the corporate office. read more

Took my daughter in for a haircut. Initial plan was to get a trim, but she changed her mind and wanted a bob. Karen helped us and was very patient with me going back and forth on the style for my daughter. She ended up getting a bob and Karen even worked on cutting her hair that wouldn't look awkward when it's blow dried. I have a good feel about this new place and I'm glad we tried it out. I will definitely go back here and have my own hair cut! read more

Thank u Janice for fitting me in so quickly! Loved it! I'm due back ...same cut n texture, soon so I'll make another appt with u!!!

I will ONLY get my hair cut by Janice. She is so great at what she does. I explained what I wanted, brought in a picture of the hair cut/style that I liked, and she pretty much mastered it on my hair. It looked amazing!! She took time with my hair and we both exchanged ideas of what would look great! And well...so far so good. I trust Janice with my hair and from now on she's the only person that I would even let near my hair. Also...I'm not big on products because I feel like they've done more damage than good to my hair...but the Tea Tree Oil shampoo has done miracles for my hair. My scalp is clean and my hair feels strong and smooth...no frizz, no weird texture. Thank you Janice! read more

Terrible service, I've tried giving them a second chance by bringing my kid here and they wanted me to brush her hair. instead of just doing their job they made me do it, they also locked the door while cutting our hair, my sister couldn't get in she knocked but they ignored her and refused to let her in even though it was 40 minutes before they closed.the first time I when their it was an our before closing and I went in the door was locked, They didn't have any clients and their was three hair dressers sitting around on the phones. During the second try they were extremely rude. read more

Karen is simply the best. Asked if I cut my hair with a fade and comb over. I'm 49. I don't know what the heck that means. So, I just trusted her and told her to do whatever she thinks is best. Glad I did. This was 4 months ago. I've been coming back ever since and will continue to. read more

Usually I love Supercuts because of their convenience and affordability. Today I wanted to have highlights done but the man refused to give me service because I did not want my hair bleached. He says I needed to because I've had my hair colored at home and this was a correction that Supercuts does not do. I'm so pissed and disappointed. I have never had this problem before, and mind you I've done highlights at other Supercuts locations. I still cannot believe this. read more

This our new regular spot for my son's haircut! Love the hospitality and cleanliness of this particular salon. We've been to several other barbers and Supercuts. This one definitely our fave. So glad to have near us now. We feel right at home with both Karens and Anna. My son is almost 15 and very picky with his hair now. Between these 3 ladies, he's never disappointed! We are always welcomed and served in a timely, organized, friendly and sanitary fashion! Highly recommend! read more

It was my first time visiting after I couldn't find any place else to get my haircut since my local hair stylist moved to another city. A young man named Ahn cut my hair and although I was a bit concerned at first because I've only ever had women handle my hair but I loved the look at the end. Ahn was also very helpful in giving me tips to keep my hair healthy. I'll definitely be coming back! read more
