I was looking for a new hairstylist for a Monday morning availability. Searched yelped and Salon Image responded back to my request fairly quickly. Response time is great and communication is great. The stylist I was set up, Tonya, I believe.. (correct me if I'm wrong). She did AMAZING. I had surgery a few years ago and it took a very long time to grow out my hair again, I have very thin Asian hair. I let her know I wanted it short, showed her an inspiration picture and asked her opinion. I originally kind of wanted a side-swept bixie (pixie bob cut). She advised me what would look best for my face and hair health and I'm so glad to have gone with her recommendation. I love it. Will be coming here again for maintenance on it. read more

I was very fortunate and grateful to get an appointment for Saturday. I got an ombre silver ash color for my hair (future transition for my greys). Tammy was my stylist and she is absolutely amazing! She took care of me and showed that she listened and tried her best to get the color I wanted. During my long stay, she made sure I was comfortable and I observed how she took care of other clients, and work colleagues overall. I am so incredibly frustrated with my experience at Salon Image. Salons like this operate like cheap nail salons--they just sit you down, rush through the service, and hurry on to the next customer. It is clearly all about the volume of sales rather than the quality of the work. I went in for a simple trim, explicitly stating I did not want to lose length and just wanted curtain bangs. Instead, the stylist gave me uneven bangs and started using thinning shears on my 2A wavy/straight hair. Anyone who knows hair knows that thinning shears completely ruin the natural wave pattern and volume for this hair type. I reached out to Tammy, who apologized and asked me to come back in so she could fix the bangs. When I showed up on our agreed day, Tammy claimed she was "busy" and pawned me off to another stylist who COMPLETELY BUTCHERED my hair, turning it into a horrible bob. I contacted Tammy a second time to tell her how bad it was and that I now literally have to wear extensions just to mask this terrible haircut. She asked me to come in again so she could fix it. After being messed around, I wasn't about to let them touch my hair for a THIRD time, so I did a no-show. Instead, I went to a competitor salon right around the corner, and that stylist actually knew what they were doing and managed to fix it so it blends with my extensions. I still absolutely hate the haircut itself, but at least it's wearable now. I paid $60 for this nightmare and I deeply regret not demanding my money back. Save your hair and your money and go elsewhere. read more

I didn't think that any salon would be available to squeeze me in on a Saturday afternoon, but I was super lucky to have connected with Tammy at Salon Image TM via Yelp! Tammy got me seated right away when I arrived, checked out my hair, and asked for pictures of inspiration. During our entire appointment she said took the time to listen to what I wanted, offer me snacks and refreshments, ensure I was comfortable, and even offer tips on hair care. I'm absolutely in love with my new hair, it's even better than I imagined! Not only am I happy with the color, but my hair feels soft and healthy - literally a million times better than what I came in with. Thank you, Tammy! I will definitely be back P.S. Really disappointed with my experience here. I went in asking for only 2 inches off since I had very long, thick hair that I'd spent years growing out, but much more was cut than I requested. Thinning shears/texturizing scissors were also used, which removed a lot of my hair's fullness and made it feel much thinner than before. I only wanted a small trim, not a major change in length and density. I just wish there had been better communication and more respect for what I asked for. read more

I LOVE this Business! Big shout out to my girl Mimi for taking me in last minute and for her creativity on my hair! I usually go to another salon for hair needs, but decided to try Salon Image and boy am I glad I did. They are the sweetest group of women, they gave my daughter snacks and sat her next to me while I finished up my hair service. I visited the salon, I was so excited about my hair since it had been a year since I died my hair! I reached out to Tammy via Yelp, sent her a picture, and explained the look I was going for. I decided to give my self a makeover and try something new . I showed Annie the color and look I was trying to go for and she definitely nailed it . She did such an amazing job . She even dyed my eyebrows to match my new hair color. They were all very welcoming in the salon , amazing customer service , they make you feel welcome and comfortable for-sure . Tammy was so good ! She took her time with my hair and explained a lot of things she was doing and what she recommended! I've tried many different hair salons and this place was absolutely fantastic! My hair is extremely stubborn thick dry Asian hair that does t take to bleach well and she made magic happen !I had preprocessed hair with a couple month of regrowth but she made my hair look so good she mixed three different level of bleaches to make my hair an even tone. And it doesn't look fried! Which is always something that tends to happen when I get my hair done! I will definitely be back and highly recommend Tammy, but every person there was very good with color and balayage! Side note bring cash for payment! read more

I wish the stylist had been more proactive about the consultation before proceeding with the cut. I got an impression that the stylist wanted to get through the hair cut session as a quickly as possible. This was for upcoming graduation, so it is more disappointing. Again, very nice lady. Not too sure if it's just one time issue!

What makes it even more disappointing is that my friend naturally has very smooth, silky hair that she used to wear down all the time because it was one of her best features. She never used to tie her hair back. But after this haircut, she's been keeping it tied up because she no longer feels confident wearing it down. She immediately contacted the salon because she was unhappy with the result. I even suggested going to another salon to have it corrected, but she decided to give this place another chance and went back for a fix. I will say that Nguyen was professional and clearly skilled. She tried her best to correct the haircut, but the problem was that the first stylist had already cut the front sections way too short, making it difficult to properly fix or balance everything. Nguyen improved it as much as possible, but the front pieces were still too short and the overall haircut was already compromised. I even spoke to her husband about it, and he said, "Yes, she was crying in front of the mirror because she doesn't know how to style her hair anymore." Honestly, I felt really bad for her. My friend is very kind and kept saying it looked "okay," but the haircut truly affected her confidence. I hope the salon pays more attention to consistency and quality between stylists moving forward because a bad haircut can genuinely impact someone emotionally, especially when it takes months or even years to grow hair back.

I have had fine hair all my life, but even still my hair has always taken well to perms, always. Even the last one over a year ago. The only complaint I had was the use of larger rods which made my hair more wavy curl than curly. Nori had said that my hair wouldn't take well to a perm, but because I know my hair's history, I asked him do it anyway and he agreed to do it. First he used a more gentle solution because of my pervious perm over a year ago (did not ask if I wanted that), and I didn't know until he was already in the process of using it on my hair... my hair needs the stronger solution. Second he did a loose curl wrap instead of a tight curl wrap. With fine hair (or at least my hair) it needs to be curled up against the scalp. I think he did this because it was a hot treatment perm (which I never had before) vs a cold treatment perm. He didn't give an option. So the perm came out ok on the bottom because it already had the previous perm that was there from a year ago. But the top part of my hair had virtually no difference. If you have fine hair and looking to get a perm, I would not recommend Nori. I'm sure he does really well with all other hair services. To his credit, the perm itself, aside from the lack of curl, was a healthy perm (did not harm my hair) and he did give a very nice cut prior to the perm process. I think if he would have explained his treatment process and how it differed from what I had previously experienced, that may have helped my decision to go elsewhere, before wasting over $200 I had taken a year 1/2 to save. Again I think he probably does really well with the other services he provides. I just think for women (or men) with fine hair, you may want to think twice if you're looking to get a perm.

My BRAZILIAN blowout was near perfection...no smelly odor after treatment and I had HAIR COLOR in the same day. They also have the products to take of your hair after wards at very reasonable prices. I have seen the same products for much much much more. This place rivals those who are used by Hollywood royalties. I use to go to those $90.00 dollar salons and hair color starts $75.00 or more. My hair is long so it normally cost me around $250.00 for hair cut and color. I can get both here for less. They use the same products. Kevin is very skilled and so is the entire team. I came in when they were busy. These people multi-task like no one's business. Don't be afraid to ask questions. They will only do what they are capable (that's plenty). You can trust that they will tell you the truth. I heard it for myself. My hair is one of those finicky picky changes color on it's own as it grows longer. It's wavy and defies any sort or curling or styling. If I don't get it done right it's a mess. Now it's nice and smooth. If you have difficult to deal with hair come on over. read more

Tammy is like a sister I never had! I had to get my hair done a day before my birthday & remembered I cut my hair back in February with one of the other stylists so I decided to send Tammy a message on Yelp again for pricing for a brown balayage. She was very responsive and I called and asked if I could come in the same morning and she accepted my appointment request luckily. Tammy also made sure i was fed snacks while my hair was in process and she was also so generous to offer me salad but my husband was 2 mins away and brought chick fil-A so i said it's ok. She's such a sweet person. Her salon is clean and I love that she's Buddhist like me. My hair was silky soft and smelt amazing and just like the inspo photo we aimed for. After over a year of getting my hair cut from Nikki, I came back to dye my hair for the first time, and get another cut. I don't know how Nikki remembered me, but she did. She remembered what my hairstyle was like before, and noticed that I changed the part on my hair from the left side to the right side of my head. That memory tho... 2 thumbs up. I was going to go lighter with my hair, but comparing it to my skin tone, she suggested that I got a bit darker, and I'm glad I stuck with her advice. Nikki works diligently, is kind, and very friendly. After getting cuts from her, my hair looks nice as it grows out. I have naturally wavy hair, so it can easily turn into a lion's mane after a while. This has been the tamest my mane has been, and that's saying a lot. Came in as a walk-in first time coming here. I did 3 weeks of research to find a salon that will do my hair exactly how I wanted. I decided to go with Salon Image. I came in on my day off and surely I was welcomed by LIN. She took care of me and my hair like if it was her own. She advised me about my hair damaging and was very attentive. She took her time. Very gentle and courtesy. I would recommend her 100%, she left my hair the way I wanted it.. I LOVE MY HAIR. Thank you again Lin for my hair color.. she also asked me about my hair being trimmed.
