If I could give 0 stars, I would. Here's what happened: About 3 weeks ago, I got my hair trimmed by the manager, Roger. He asked if I get highlights (I do) and said that a few times a year, other stylists come in from around the region to do seminars on up-and-coming trends. They were planning on doing a seminar on balayage, a type of highlight, and if I would agree to be their "model," they would do the treatment (usually $150) for free! I was thrilled. After dealing with my car breaking down and my laptop breaking (all in one week), this was exactly what I needed and couldn't afford. I told Roger I would check with my boss to get the time off, since it was on a Monday at 9 a.m. My boss said it was fine, and I called him to confirm. I arrived the day of the treatment at 8:45 a.m. The girl at the desk asked if she could help me, and when I explained why I was there, she said, "Oh, um.......Roger isn't here today, so we might not be able to do your treatment TODAY, but......um.........here, just have a seat and we'll take care of you! I'll come over and explain in a sec." So, I was confused, but sat down, thinking they would do some other treatment. 10 min goes by. 20 min goes by. The girl takes a phone call at the front desk. I overhear her say, "Oh, yeah he's no longer with us. He quit last night." She then started to cut a customer's hair who had just walked in. I put two and two together and realized she was probably talking about Roger, the manager who had offered me the treatment. Suddenly, a group of stylists gather around another girl who was sitting in the styling chair. One of them starts to put dye in her hair and explains what she's doing.....the balayage treatment. I am confused. Wasn't I supposed to be doing this? And why is no one talking to me or making eye contact with me? Why do I feel like the "inconvenience" they hoped wouldn't show up? The girl I had spoken with at the front desk finishes cutting her client's hair. I walk over and ask if I should leave, since it's obvious they've already started the treatment on someone else (and since it's now 10:00 and I've been sitting here for an hour). She goes," Oh! No! It's OK! We'll take you right now!" I'm ushered into the backroom where a different girl starts washing my hair. I ask if Roger quit and she says, "Yes, he did with no notice. But don't worry -- we're going to give you a shampoo and blow dry for free!" Um. I already washed my hair this morning... At this point, I am livid. People are telling me how "pretty" my hair looks to try to raise my spirits, but it's obvious they had no idea I was coming since Roger quit and were trying to scramble to figure out what to do with me. After the girl finishes drying my hair, I ask to speak with the manager. The Art Director from Santa Barbara who was performing the balayage treatment comes outside with me. I explain that I had to call off work for this. I either need to use my vacation time for a shampoo and blow dry or go unpaid for the two hours it took to wash my hair. I also said that I work in HR, so I understand how frustrating it is when someone quits with no notice, but that this was not handled correctly. If someone would have just been straight with me the minute I walked in, I would have walked out and not been a burden to them, which is how I was treated. The Art Director explained that she was so sorry and they would make it up to me. She took my information and said someone would reach out. It's been 2 weeks. Nothing has happened. For their lack of courtesy and professionalism, I'll never go here again. I also plan on writing a letter to corporate, describing what happened. read more

I arrived just as they as were opening. I was greeted with a smile and very quick service. The location was clean, uncluttered and well lit. The manager cut my hair (I don't recall her name). The haircut itself was great and so was the conversation. Since I've never been to this location previously, so I don't know why other raters gave it 1-2 stars. Worst haircut my son ever got!! Didnt get his name unfortunately, or I wouldve put it on blast here to avoid for sure!! We've been going to Supercuts for awhile now, first time to try it at this location though...never again!!! My son was holding back tears as his hair was cut waay to short. I was trying not to react as it wouldve made my son feel worse. Again, we always use Supercuts and that was definitely NOT the correct number used on the buzz when we said number 2! It was waay too short than the usual hes used to, but what can you do when one side is already buzzed down?! I get it you've had a long week, but dont take it out on a kids haircut! Didnt listen to a word we said, that we wanted the side burns to be natural and not cut square, but yet he did. Same thing for the back, natural and tapered to the neck, but no he did the same thing n cut across. Appauled to death, could not leave a tip nor barely a 1 star. I went to Supercuts today for a trim on my hair. I explained to my stylist that I wanted a short A-line bob with lots of layers in the back. My stylist asked me questions to make sure she understood what I wanted. My hair cut came out wonderful. My stylist took her time and I got exactly what I asked for. The salon was clean and cool. I was in the area so I stopped by this location. I was helped by an older, blonde, Armenian woman. I wanted a clean-up and asked for a two on the sides; instead she used this huge brush and was done rather quickly. She also got distracted when another customer came in and was very inattentive, she was still not done cutting my hair. I noticed my sides were uneven and asked her to fix this. She was perplexed as to why I made the request and told me that sides are uneven for most people. I got back to my car and noticed a lot more uneven hairs. My mom and I got our hair cut here because our usual place was still closed due to Covid-19. They were friendly and took our temperature to ensure we were healthy. However, that was the only positive thing about our experience. I was given a lady with short pink/orange hair and when I told her what I wanted (cut to the waist and my grown out bangs blended in with a u shaped bottom) she told me she could do all of those as we went along. She even finished my sentences and I was confident she not only understood what I wanted but was capable of doing it after saying "we could do that" or "I can do that" several times after each thing I said. I couldn't see the back of my head so I thought it was going well but when I stood up after the haircut was supposedly finished, my mom stopped me in my tracks and told the girl that the hair cut was shaggy and uneven looking. I trust my mom 100% as the blended cut for my bangs even looked shaggy as horribly cut as well. She proceeded to ask another older girl who's in her 50s to fix my hair cut and even after 5 minutes trying to fix my hair and deeming it fixed to her standard it wasn't. They then had to get another girl who had a silver/platinum wig to come in and see if she could fix it only for her to pass me on to the manager with black and blonde hair. FOUR people had to have contact with me/my mom and my hair because they don't hire stylists who have experience nor education on what they're doing. The sad part is even after the manager "fixed" it, it was still a horrible job. Do not go here if you want anything more that a straight cut with no styling whatsoever involved. Also to the girl with the blonde/platinum wig: I had the conversation on what I wanted to do with my hair with the short haired girl that didn't involve you. You were busy cutting my moms hair and having you're own personal conversation, so tell me how you're gonna try and stand up for your co worker by saying "well I didn't hear you say that" when I was telling her what I wanted done when you weren't even in the conversation in the first place? read more

There's a reason why nobody goes to these large corporate chains anymore...terrible service, mediocre cuts and, at least for men, antiquated ideology. During my hair cut I mentioned how I usually blow dry my hair in the morning. Most hair dressers will take this as a sign and ask if I would like it blow dried after the hair cut is over. Usually I don't want to leave and continue on with my day with my hair all wet and messy. This is perfectly normal. Instead the older lady mentioned how "men shouldn't blow dry hair" and how I should invest in one of their smoothing shampoos instead. As I was paying for my $20 dollar hair cut I looked in the mirror one final time and thought, "yeah, I really don't want to go out looking like this" and asked if she could just go ahead and blow dry my hair. She gave me a disgusting look, mumbled something I couldn't hear and pointed for me to get back to the seat. She then proceeded to blow dry one half of my head very quickly and very unenthusiastically and called it a day. I just nodded thanks, handed her 4 bucks and walked out knowing I was never coming back again. read more

First was alright descent lady no complaints there. 2nd Time nice lady but the girl that works at the front she makes a sarcastic remark as soon as you come in. My hairstylist said she does that to everyone and some get mad as they don't know she's joking not right at all. My last time lady was in a rush as the police showed up because there was an attempted robbery and I was the last one getting a cut. So I understand her wanting to rush my cut took like 15 mins. She also answer the fucking phone when she was cutting my hair twice like wtf lady? Anyways it was not a good cut and I refuse to come here ever again. Not a good experience at all. I know I was the last customer but that doesn't mean to rush my cut and do a half as job lady. You can still work fast but efficient but I guess you didn't learn how to do that did you. They are in a rush to get you out of there. For men, specifically, they cut and when they are done, they make you feel like you have to leave now.. They do not cut with care and precision, I was really disappointed, especially for men, when we pay $17 for a quick 10 minute haircut and they disappoint by not paying attention to any detail such as side burns, sides, etc.. This may have been an isolated event with me, oh wait.. no it was not.. they have and all do the same thing. This place used to employ people who understood that you can't treat the clientele like garbage and expect their continuing patronization. Tried to take my kid here for a haircut only to be shunted into a corner to sit for nearly an hour while other walk in clients, including a boy in my kid's school class, were promptly served. Management needs to reconsider putting only three disorganized stylists in the busy Saturday morning slot. Would it kill them to hire a receptionist so that getting in isn't up to the individual biases of the barbers? Three different waiting lists kept by three different people, each of whom lets their friends cut the queue, makes for chaos. In future I'll pay more somewhere else. read more

I walked in and Nina asked for my name and let me know three people were ahead of me ; I said ok. Turns out she never placed my name on any list and consequently was skipped over twice . No apology, no "oops", no "my bad". We all make mistakes and nobody died here but to not even acknowledge it is ridiculous. There is a hair stylist here, tall with long straight brown hair, she's been there forever. She cut my hair 6 mos ago and did an ok job. So when I went back a week ago she was there and I specifically asked for her. Well she seemed to be emotionally upset that I had asked for her and she took it out on my hair. I always have very whispy bangs. She grabbed literally an entire fistful of my hair in front and chopped it off. I now have very thick "Campbell Soup" kid bangs straight across my forehead! Me and boyfriend got our haircuts from two different stylist. I was NEVER so disappointed with my hair in my whole life. Even though I showed her pictures and explained in detail how I wanted it, she did such a bad job that I ended up crying when we left. I have a short haircut and wanted it asymmetrically trimmed in layers - all I got was super short uneven forelock and two awful long locks on the sides. The other lady who cut my boyfriend was so lazy that the only part of his haircut that was ok was that done by a machine. Once we got home, we had to fix each other's hair and now we wait, till it grows a bit so that we can go to hairdresser's again - but surly not to this one! read more

I will say I have been going to this location for 15 years and have tried several of the ladies my favorite was Liz but she no longer works there. I had a decent hair cut by Anna (Andrea) but unfortunately she does not make you feel welcomed or treat you with respect. I am anal about my hair and had her cut it then the next day I decided to go back and get it trimmed shorter. I have a pixie and decided to shave the back rather then keep the scissor cut. I went in and planed on paying for a whole new hair cut with anyone Anna was there and one of the other ladies let her know I was there and why. Then right in front of me she laughed, rolled her eyes, and shaked her head in disgust. Apparently I was bothering her I thought I was a paying customer but apparently I was wrong. She made me feel terrible and I couldn't believe she would act that way in front of everyone. ( clients, staff, etc) Some people should not work with the public!!!
