Linda is the bomb! Super friendly, personable, and really cool with kids. She gave my son CHAMP is super tight fade in less than 12 minutes. Definitely the right move! read more

I have naturally curly hair, and am VERY specific about how I want it cut. ADRIANA did a great job yesterday. Thank you for providing me with a post-quarantine cut without a 3 week waiting list! read more

I am so disappointed by my haircut here. I've been here in the past when I can't get an appointment at my usual salon, and they usually do a good job but today was awful. I requested a haircut and showed the the photo of my last haircut there and wanted that cut again. I could tell she was cutting too much and said it was looking way shorter than it was supposed to. I wish I hadn't removed my glasses otherwise I would have told her to stop altogether, but she brushed it off and kept cutting. I told her again it was way too short and she said something about how it was still wet, and I said "yeah which means it will shrink up even more." She brushed that off with a "oh it's only damp, it won't shrink that much". But here I am with a crappy short haircut I hate. She didn't charge me for the cut but you cannot glue hair back on if you cut too much. She honestly looked like she felt bad about the whole thing, so my advice would be that you need to take small amount off at a time and double check with the client that they are okay or if they want more off. I cried in my car for an hour. Yes it's just hair and it will grow back, but I have serious health issues and my hair doesn't grow as fast as others. So I am stuck with this for awhile. Even my trusty flat iron didn't help anything. :( read more

I have been getting my hair cut and styled at the Arroyo Grande Supercuts for years and just have to share what a great place it is! The staff is friendly and I always get a great cut, no matter who is working. The shop is clean and well run. It feels professional and friendly at the same time. I've had different styles over the years and they always get it right! read more

Just got the absolute SICKIST haircut from India! Been traveling and living in my car for months and I looked and felt like a wreck. Walked in right before close and in 20 min she cleaned me up so good I'm so amped I'm writing this review from the parking lot because every person ever with short hair should go check her out. I've never actually had someone listen 100% to what I'm asking for during a consultation. So so dope, thanks for the sick cut! read more

This is the worst day of my life. First we had to wait like an hour to be atended and then I end up all messed up why, because they cut my hair so short and they did not do what I asked for they almost ended up cutting all off . I am never coming here again . I recomed going somewhere else this place is horrible. read more

After spending years looking for just the right location to get a hair cut, I finally came across Supercuts in Arroyo Grande. What a refreshing place. Linda with the clippers in hand is magic. Marilyn working the phones was exceptionally pleasant, welcoming, and professional. No more trying to explain how the hair should be cut. Linda gets it! Tell her once and she remembers. I'll be back!! read more

Used the app to check in 40 minutes ago and still waiting. It's Saturday and only 2 people working. 5 people waiting for service. Great staff but this place is always under staffed. Mid-week ok to do that but weekends they should have people here. read more

Why is it that 2 people are at the counter & when you step up to the counter they don't greet you? They just talk to each other without acknowledging your presence ?!! I asked if they wanted my coupon now or when I pay & the woman asked me to remind her that I gave her the coupon because she usually forgets !! The hair cut was fine but I will just get a cut next time. $3 just to wash my hair!! And!! $9.00 more to blow dry it?? $30.00 to cut a half inch off?? This will be my last trip there now that I think about it!! read more

To prevent waiting in person and to keep my daughter and myself more safe while practicing social distancing, I booked an appointment online. Upon arrival, we showed our appointment confirmation number and were told that they "do not honor appointments" and was told the wait was roughly 30 minutes. Not covid safe at all. Why have appointment bookings available online if you're refusing to honor them?! read more

I've been to this location a half dozen times, and the three times I got a haircut there, quality was very good. The other times, there was a wait (20-30 minutes), and I left. The staff I interacted with were all pleasant and professional. However, they don't accept appointments which makes it difficult to get the same stylist every time without waiting. I've called in advance, and still had to wait 20-30 minutes. I went early in morning (as soon as they opened), again had a 20-30 minute wait. One recommendation (if appointments/schedules cannot be maintained) is to call the customer when the stylist is ready. Very simple solution for those who don't want to wait around in their lobby for 30 minutes. The 2 times I've waited there, the front desk clerk stands there waiting for customers to come in, why not have them make calls? I'd agree with one of the other reviewers that having to say your tip out loud is awkward. A good tactic to put pressure on the customer to tip well (very crafty), but this should be changed. Their business model isn't for me, but the haircuts are good. read more

Kari at Supercuts Arroyo Grande, CA, really knows color. She blended light and dark coloring into salt and pepper hair to make an all-over effect that no longer looks like dull, boring mouse. read more

I went in this place to get my 9 year old daughters hair cut. The woman did a great job. All the staff was very polite.

After giving 1 star to Supercuts, I have to give the owner credit for reaching out to me and making it right. Since it was clearly a scheduling mistake, they offered me a free service and made it right! Sylist are great and I'm now a happy customer! read more

I've been coming to super cuts for years , for the last three years I've also come on Veterans Day ( free haircuts were always offered) . I was lead back by karla , I asked her about my free hair cut for Veterans Day she said we will talk about this after your hair cut , I said ok . Once done with my hair cut she told me after my discount (Heros discount) my total was $20. I told her ok , I was going to give you the $20 for a tip but now I will just have to pay for the hair cut instead . Upon hearing this another veteran asked about his free hair cut she quickly responded that he would not be getting one either . She was clearly upset and wanted to call her manager but I wanted to just pay and leave . I paid for his haircut because I wanted to make a point . I really liked her she was very kind and when she didn't tell me the truth on this information , it was dishonest for her to not let me know . I will be taking my business elsewhere for a while . read more

I love to visit Kari Bishop she's awesome knows what I like how I want my hair done. Beautiful personality easy going well with everyone I really would like to give her 10 stars cuz she well deserves it read more

The stylists here are consistently excellent! I always try to call ahead so my name is on the list. It's extremely reasonable in pricing. The customer service is why I keep coming back. They do a great job and they do it quickly! I like that they are locally owned and not a corporation, too. I've met the owners! read more

I just got one of the best haircuts I've had in a LONG while. Laura is amazing and I will be requesting her each and every time I need a haircut or style, because she did SUCH a good job. I came in, she listened to my requests to cut my long layers into a long bob. She saw a photo of what I was thinking and got to it. She also was so considerate and used a tea tree shampoo and conditioner because I mentioned itchy and greasy scalp. I love that kind of care and attention. We chatted about our kids and my husbands' hatred of short hair cuts, so she kept extra length for me to get used to the style. She instructed me how to style it and worked with my existing color. I have face framing blonde pieces that are looking cray right now, but she made them look FANTASTIC! I love how she went with an on-trend look and did a messy beachy wave style. My hubs said it looked fantastic and it feels so light and airy. Go to Laura ladies, she will do you right! read more

About a month ago they gave me terrible service when I got my haircut and I thought it was a one time thing but i just called 3 times trying to get an appointment and they would not answer my phone call. This supercuts is problem after problem. read more

Why I always believe everyone deserves a first impression and a second chance. I had a rather bad experience the time I came before. I came back today and was able to get a great cut and wax from Emily. She was very personable and made sure to listen to my requests and make the experience great. Marlene, was very kind and remembered my experience from before and made sure this experience was a good one. Everyone had a great attitude and I left feeling better than I did when I came in. Marlene also suggested to call ahead to get a better scope of times than the app suggested.Thank you. I will see you in 4-6 weeks. read more

I can't believe it, but it's true. I go to an expensive salon in Beverly Hills every 6 - 8 weeks for color/cut. I really do, not even kidding. But...I was killing time waiting for the hubby to pick me up, I needed a trim badly, and thought, how bad can it be? So, I went in. The girls there have really nice looking hair. (Big plus). So, I have a DRY trim with Jennie Darling. DRY, I did not have time for a shampoo, etc. Everyone knows a dry trim/cut and style is not as easy as trimming hair wet. Well, she is adorable, she is professional, and my hair looks great. She did EXACTLY what I asked, she listens, she asks questions, and she does a good cut. ( I have medium/long thick colored hair, layers, with bangs). For $17. i just can't believe it, so today i am rocking my great looking hair with a lot of extra cash in my pockets. Thank you Jennie! Run to see her, girls! read more

Love the girls here, they do great work! Dana is a fabulous mgr. I love going to get my hair cut. So much fun!

Just got back from taking my 4 1/2 year old son here for a cut. Must first say he has a HORRIBLE phobia with getting his hair done. Scared water will get in his eyes and the cutting in general. I had already taken him one place down the street that we had to leave due to his crying. I talked him into going into supercuts before we grabbed a couple things at the market next door. It looked like it was going to be a repeat of the other place and we would be going home with my son still sporting a long shaggy style. But the girls really stepped up. they did all they could think of to get him compfy. It ended up with him on my lap, two of us reading him a book while Rosie the wonder woman clipped away. In the end my little one has a very well done cut that i love. We both ended up looking like yeti's by the time she was done. Didn't realize he had that much hair! On the way home he actually said "Mommy, that was soo much fun getting my hair cut!" He's looking forward to going back! I'm thrilled to find someone he feels so happy with. We WILL be back! read more

Never going here ever again. I wanted a few layers cut but to still have the same length (aka keep the bottom layer how it already is). The girl cutting my hair cut off 6 months of growth! I cringed the second I saw how she was cutting the layers, and the layers look horrible!!! She had no cutting technique, combed my ears so much they still hurt and left a bunch of shampoo in my hair! I am so pissed! I come there for one thing and i didn't even get it, I got worse! read more

Laura is amazing. She knew just what to do for my hair type. I will be visiting her again. My husband goes to her as well, it's hard to find someone who can cut both men and women, but I believe we found her. Thanks Laura read more

Awesome place . I had seen the place many times but never went in. I finally decided to check out the place . Don't regret it at all. The girls were very nice and professional . Thought it was gonna be a little expensive but it was quite the opposite. Overall a great place and the atmosphere was very welcoming . Will definitely go back :D read more

Brandie is the best stylist ever. I love this place and they have a great product selection.

The appointment system doesn't work. You can't make it for a specific date and time. You have to show up within a certain time from the time you called. Additionally, when the haircut experience becomes a social event for the people in front of you (the gift to gab) your appointment is pointless. This place needs an overhaul on customer service and appointment management. I'm done.. read more

Went there on my Birthday with my best friend just to get my hair washed and curled thinking it would be quicker and more fun than doing it myself. First of all I showed the girl a picture of what I wanted, simple Marilyn curls, and what I was left with was so hideous that I took no photo evidence, as well as cried in my car. The girl used practically a whole bottle of hair spray on my head, I have a medium length a-line, and all the chemicals were so NOT needed. The prices are listed on the board when you first walk in, after my hair was done we were charged 3x the amount listed for both the blow dry and the style, andddd I was charged just as much for my short thin hair as my best friend was charged for her long and super thick hair. The employees were SUPER RUDE when we questioned the exaggerated prices. They refused to give us our money back, and lacked any type of intelligence whatsoever. We had to rush back to my house were I got in my bath tub on all 4's and my best friend then had to SCRUB all the nasty hair spray out of my hair and shampoo for a good 10 minutes before I could even blow dry and style it myself. Worst hair experience EVER. If negative stars were available that is what I would choose. read more

My sincere appreciation to Sherry and the AG Team of Supercuts, for their quick response, explanation, and apologies regarding a negative situation that occurred that not was typical of my husband's previous experiences here. I am amending my review because of her attitude when responding to my previously written negative feedback. When quick to Yelp! negative comments, I feel it is also important to be quick to Yelp! the positive and say that mistakes happen and to allow a business to make changes based on a review and further, to accept the apologies offered. I believe everyone and every business deserves a second chance when they are so very forthright and transparent about what happened. Thank you, Sherry, for your message. I wish you and your team all the best. "Super classy"! read more

I just get my haircut at this store just because of its location. I could go to Fantastic Sams in Grover Beach, but the traffic is more hectic there and the parking lot is smaller. Also, it's easier to find to maneuver the car and find a parking space here. I usually go on a weekday afternoon and the wait is usually 30-45 minutes. In the several years I have been coming here they never seem to have sufficient staff. Some of the haircutters are not very courteous to the customer and are not the most customer-focused. Some of the haircutters carry on with personal conversation with other employees. Some of the haircutters seem to think that customers are trying to cheat them. I usually ask for a shampoo with my haircut and when I remind the haircutter that I requested a shampoo the haircutter will yell out "add a shampoo to the ticket" to the receptionists (who should have already done that). When I am finished with the haircut, the receptionist (which I already told her not 15 minutes before) asks me if I got a shampoo. Before I can even answer the haircutter blurts out rudely "yeah, there was a shampoo" as if I wasn't in the room. I've had two haircutters do that, the Hispanic man, and the Hispanic girl with the funky haircut who looks like a Chihuahua gone wrong. read more

Thank you joey for an excellent hair cut! She was maticulous and not to chatty, i like that!

WORST PLACE TO GET A HAIRCUT EVER! I've been here multiple times and turns out the guys are the only ones that can cut hair in an orderly fashion and get it to what YOU want. The people here either cut too much or too little. UGH. I would never recommend going there even for just a trim. I went for a trim and the woman cut way to much off, the top is uneven, and she stopped mid way. I am disgusted by my hair. I am disgusted by all supercuts in California! I'd rather spend 100 dollars for a PROFESSIONAL to give me a trim. There is no possible way my hair will grow out even now. It took me half a year to grow how much i had and you went and cut it ALL off. I only asked for you to trim off the dead hair. You trimmed more than that. I barely look at my hair anymore because of how much i hate it. "Hair grows, Hair grows". NO SHIT. But it doesn't fix itself over time. might as well just get it all chopped of AGAIN and start over AGAIN. I hope you look at this before you go there. I would NEVER recommend. I hope all super cuts go out of business. It would be a better place without them. read more
