I went there for a full highlight and cut. It was clean and welcoming. Rosie did exactly what I asked for as far as the highlights were concerned. I explained what I wanted and she got it perfectly! She also gave me a great haircut! I will definitely be going back. Very friendly staff. read more

WORST HAIRCUT EVER! Beware if you got straight Asian hair. I gave it 2 weeks and thought about this before I wrote this and this is by far the worst haircut I've ever had. I have super straight thick Asian hair. And maybe my stylist, Rosie, is just not skilled for my type of hair. She was super nice and probably amazing for some but not for me. I went in for a simple chin length bob with bangs. Showed her a picture. Nothing fancy. How hard could that be? She started cutting and when I looked up the back was longer than my chin but the sides were by earlobes. I mentioned it looked 2 tier bob and uneven. So she kept cutting. Next look like Edna from the incredibles which I told her. She said she would add texture to make it more stylish. Now I have a tiered bowl cut that was still uneven and chunky. I asked to thin the back and under so at least it would stack better and hair to lay down. But she thinned the top, leaving it chunky and poofy. And stilll uneven. I have chunks of hair mid earlobe on one side and at earlobe on the other! She told me it how my hair lays. I'm in my mid 40s, I know how my hair lays and been to enough stylists to know better. I was getting really nervous and just wanted out of the chair. So after $75 for this mess, I'm looking for someone to give me a short pixie because there is no way to salvage this. read more

Studio 805 Salon was amazing, for one the website was extremely easy to use, I chose my date time and was booked. Luckily there was availability for such short notice. I arrived a little earlier than my scheduled time but it gave me a chance to scope out the place. Soon as I walked in I was greeted offered a drink and was shown my seat till my stylist arrived. Jessica listened to what I wanted suggested what would look best and we came to an agreement, I wasn't expecting to get my hair washed but I'm so glad I did, I felt spoiled getting my scalp massaged, it was such a treat and unexpected. My haircut was perfect the vibes were immaculate and the studio was very beautiful and well kept they had cell phone chargers available and drinks. I will be back and will definitely recommend Studio 805! read more

I got a blow out by Kyndra for a wedding I needed to attend, I live out of town and was so glad I had someone recommend her! I showed a picture of how I wanted my hair and it turned out the exact way I wanted! She did a great job installing my clip in extensions and my hair lasted all night. The ceremony I attended was so windy, I was expecting my hair to be frizzy and wrecked after, but when I checked it still looked perfect! I definitely would recommend her! read more

Had a late minute need for a haircut for my son who is taking senior photos tomorrow. Kyndra was pleasant on the phone and made an appointment with us only a few hours later. The salon is nice, updated and comfortable. Parking is available on the street or in back. I was offered a beverage, which included a mimosa but I declined. Maybe next time. I had a photo for her to go off of. I must say, she did a pretty darn good job. Curly hair is difficult to cut for some stylists but Kyndra is a pro. Big thank you for fitting him in!! read more

After trolling through the Instagram of every salon on the Central Coast I found Krista. It must have been fate that I found her and was able to get an appointment within 3 days. I'll start by saying getting in a salon chair at this time in my life was a challenge. I've been dealing with the illness and then loss of my favorite human in the world, my grandmother. I couldn't decide if I wanted to go sit with a stranger for 4 hours. But I did, and I am beyond grateful. Krista not only worked a miracle on my self dyed covid hair () she is also a sweetheart and had me talking more than I thought I would want to. I cannot wait to get back in her chair and have her continue to transform me. I highly recommend her to anyone, she's a master at her craft and a wonderful person to talk to. Very happy she did a nice job on my hair she made it sassy and fun even though it was just a short hair style. Although it was more expensive than the place I usually go which is around the corner. It was still nice to have her do my shampoo and rinse before the haircut. But I'd rather just have a haircut, that's just me. It makes it nice when you pay to get pampered every now and then. It's very clean and she was very accommodating as a walk-in client. My usual lady was busy and could not cut my hair that day. read more

Kyndra is absolutely amazing. She is very meticulous with highlights and color -- her styling is out of this world! The salon is beautiful and inviting -- and more importantly very clean. It is a very relaxing environment. I love the fact that local artists can display items at the salon for sale -- like jewelry and artwork -- and I have picked up some really lovely pieces. read more

Jaycee was my so call Stylist. i asked for carmel highlights and got an ashy blond highlights and lousy haircut. If you want to sit for four hours listening to your stylist talk about her personal life and not get the highlights or cut you want then go to Jaycee. I ask for my bangs not to be cut too short and she does exactly that. In my opinion she needs to return to beauty school. I could have gotten a better hair cut and highlights at a local supercuts. Never going there again. read more

I was in search of a stylist who was not afraid to cut hair short. You would think that was an easy request, but it was difficult to find someone who believed me when I said "short is not short enough." The Nextdoor app led me to Salon 805 and Krista. She listened to me, I got the haircut I asked for, and she made look good. I love my hair again. So let me just say... I LOVE Krista. She is my hair angel and I'm not sure how the universe brought her to me but I'm SO glad I found her. (My best friend just politely reminded me that she introduced us) Anyways... Blonde hair is not easy and she does perfection, like literal perfection, every time. I live in LA and drive to Pismo because no one has been able to make me as radiant as Krista. My hair is golden, bright, soft and just gorgeous! I feel like a supermodel when I walk out of there. I didn't wanna wait to post a review! I had a great experience with Kyndra. It was only my second time getting my hair done professionally. Made me realize that my first experience at another salon was rushed. I wouldn't have known the difference. Kyndra took her time and was really precise. She made my highlights look like a more natural shade of blonde as opposed to brassy and yellow. Even my hair wash was incredibly thorough! The salon itself is modern and welcoming. They have really up-to-date equipment. I also couldn't resist the mimosa Kyndra offered me! Price was right. Atmosphere was great. Kyndra was really friendly and knowledgeable. After having the worst haircut of my life in downtown SLO in 2019, i've been avoiding seeking out a new hairstylist. Deciding I would make the plunge, I came here on my birthday in January for a much needed cut. I browsed Studio 805's instagram and found a style that I really liked! When I came in, Krista was so warm and hospitable. We spoke a bit about my hair and what I wanted to do (modern shag) and she talked me through it and helped me make any decisions on length and style. The end results were AMAZING. I have never loved a haircut so much in my life and Krista did it so gracefully! I'm so happy to have found someone that I can trust for all my future bang trims, cuts, and color! I've been living in the central coast for almost 5 years now... I had my previous hairdresser for almost 20 years. So obviously when I moved here I was very apprehensive about any new hairstylist. I have been to 5 salons, and no one has been able to cut or Style my hair like my old hairdresser. I have long, thick, curly/wavy hair, and the perfect cut is needed in order for me to go natural And to also be able to wear it blown out. so Krista is # 6 and will now be my permanent. She took the time to ask what I wanted and to assess my hair. I couldn't be happier! Krista made my day off "me day" amazing. Making a reservation online was easy, I was offered a beverage immediately :) , the music was great, and decor was clean and cute (love the orchids). I had never met Krista before making an apt, I had really bad post covid hair, an inch of roots, and I didn't even have a picture of what I wanted... Oh, and I'm 9 months pregnant. THIS EXPERIENCE WAS MAGICAL! Extremely Disappointing Hair Extension Service…read more I hate leaving negative reviews, but this experience warrants it. I paid over $1,000 for hair extensions, and the stylist cut them extremely uneven. My hair was curled before I left, which temporarily hid the damage but once I washed it a few days later, the poor, uneven cutting was obvious. I reached out to the salon owner with photos, expecting help or at least accountability. Instead, I was told the issue was "the way I took the pictures," which felt dismissive and unprofessional. The stylist then offered to "fix" the problem by cutting even more of the extensions -- meaning I would lose even more of the expensive hair I paid for. That was not an acceptable solution. I ended up having to pay another stylist elsewhere to try to correct the damage. For the cost and trust involved, this experience was extremely disappointing. I would strongly recommend doing your research and considering other options before booking here.
