If you can't manage to run that and your operation one might start to question your staffing solutions and time management skills. I felt like I didn't have a choice as a customer. I asked for 1 print of 1 picture only to be told that I requested for multiple. Communication is overly-complicated and long when asked simple question such as "exact cost per print this size?" "Just one" "I'll be right back" (as I had to email and look thru files). I don't mind paying for $5 or more. Go for the millennial's employees for help for an uncomplicated, smooth, say-less experience. And to avoid confusion and unnecessary conflict due to mistranslation (English not being owner and owner's wife language). I will have to look for a new-print shop for a chill, non-emotional, logical, simple shopping experience; or show up and seek specific employees for help while avoiding owner's wife.

For the past couple years, I have been tasked with designing them in-house. Originally the plan was to print them in-house, but with a job of this magnitude and a looming deadline, I had to outsource the printing. So with a CD-R containing the .EPS files, I sought the services of George at Swifty Printing. I needed 1200 full color front and back cards, printed, trimmed and folded in half. George was accommodating in the fact that we would be supplying our own paper which was purchased at Paper Zone beforehand. Gave me a quote which was well under budget and told me to come back tomorrow for a press check. Awesome! Press check was perfect, the color was spot-on and looked amazing considering they came off a digital press. A couple of days later I came back to pick up the job: 1200 cards printed, trimmed, folded, shrink wrapped and bundled in one box. Stuffing them into envelopes on the other hand still needs to be done in house however. Thank God for interns! My dealings with George and Swifty Printing couldn't have been any better. (Or at least, I don't think you can?) The other day I came in to get some non-school copies done. The guy working was helpful, even though he seemed to automatically resort to them making my copies instead of letting me use the self-service machines (which would have been even cheaper for me). Oh well. I got my file uploaded, sent it to the printer, picked out the color paper (which is what cost depends on), and printed my project on 7-cent green paper. It was a good experience and I was happy because the cost was cheaper than... the other place we've recently used for printing. Next time I'll have to remember to use the self-service, though, because I would have been able to use my Student Survival Kit coupon that would have lowered the per-page costs to 4 cents. (Both are cheap, but it adds up and I'd rather save some $ where I can!)
