Low Mein with Carrots?

I ordered Wonton Soup and House Special Lo Mein. The soup tasted days old and the wontons were uncooked. The Lo Mein was loaded with carrots and little meat. I was told not to eat there but...

My husband and I came here for the second time for a Valentine lunch together. The first time we…read morecame, we accidentally ate before we came and so we had so much food leftover (which is not a bad problem!). So this time, we split the zesty orange chicken and a Philly roll between us for the perfect amount of food for the both of us. The food was delicious too. The orange chicken had the very essential and yummy flavor of an orange! And anything that can get me to eat more veggies (such as this dish) is a win to me. If I had any complaints, I would've wanted more chicken in the dish, since it was made up of mostly noodles. The sushi was good! Maybe not "knock-your-socks-off" good, but we did just go with the basic Philly roll instead of something more exciting. Their menu had some really interesting sounding sushi rolls. I will say though, that the Philly roll was very pretty! Otherwise, our waitress was great and checked up on us. Our food was out pretty fast, and for Globe, I would definitely consider this more of an upscale/still casual place for a date. We'll be back to get more fancy Asian fusion food.

The reason I am giving this place 2 stars today instead of 1 is because our server Lauren saved me…read morefrom having an allergic reaction due to observed cross contamination in the kitchen and told us. We haven't been here in years due to the last time we visited we had a very negative experience. Today was a little better, but not by much. My 6yo and I ordered 3 rolls(california, rainbow and caterpillar) and an appetizer(coconut tempura shrimp). We received 2 rolls before our appetizer, which to me was weird. They all came with wasabi and ginger, and I asked our waitress Loren if I could have some ginger without wasabi as I am mildly allergic. She said no because they use the same hand to serve both so the wasabi is in the ginger. I thought 'that sucks, cross contamination'. When the final roll(caterpillar) came out it had 3 sauces on it; unagi sauce, spicy Mayo and Siracha. I asked her when she came by again if it was supposed to have the spicy ones, she said 'oh yes, the caterpillar comes with all 3'. I had ordered it for my 6yo to eat, the menu has none of the spicy sauces listed in the description, just the unagi sauce. So, buyer beware, not all sauces are listed on the menu and if you have an allergy you might want to eat elsewhere because if there is one cross contamination, there are bound to be others.

I think they're way better than panda if you know what panda express is It's kind of more homemade in my opinion They have more of a variety and it's cheaper I definitely recommend it, especially if you like Chinese food you can't go wrong It does look a little ghetto when you get inside don't mind the fish tank with the big fish Or the occasional kids playing around Everyone make a living and this town simply doesn't have that much childcare in my opinion These people are nice, considerate and courteous, and nobody gets in the way There's sometimes a line that goes out the door, but they move very quickly But that line should tell you all you need to know I'll wait 30 minutes in a parking lot for them to open Just so I don't have to think about or worry about getting disappointed anywhere else cause I know I won't be here

FIVE STARS NOT FOR PERFECTION --BUT FOR HEART…read more In a tiny restaurant with just one overwhelmed but genuinely kind waitress, I ended up having one of the most grounded, human dinners I've had in a long time. No rush, no attitude, no drama -- just honest food, quiet patience, and the kind of atmosphere you only find in working towns with people who've paid their dues. I came in after a long workday, and this little restaurant surprised me in the best way. It's small, cozy, and has that old-school warmth you don't find everywhere anymore. There was only one waitress working the whole front, and she handled the dinner rush with kindness, patience, and a genuine smile -- never once losing her cool. You can tell she cares about the customers. I ordered the moo goo gai pan with steamed rice and a homemade soup that came out hot, simple, and comforting. The food is exactly what you want from a classic Chinese spot: nothing fancy, just honest, good flavors. It's a local place, the kind where people know each other, and the energy feels calm and respectful. If you come here, be patient -- they're working hard, and they deserve it. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. It's the kind of place where the food warms you up, but the kindness stays with you. Small-town heart, honest service -- I left grateful.

We pulled up to a completely full parking lot and a crowd of people waiting out front, which is always a promising sign. When we asked for a table, we were quoted a pretty long wait. To be fair, we did not make a reservation, so that one is on us. Normally I am not the type to wait that long, but the restaurant smelled absolutely amazing. That aroma alone convinced us to stick it out, and I am so glad it did. Once we were seated, our drink orders were taken and delivered quickly. The menu had a wide variety of dishes, including several vegetarian and vegan options, which we really appreciated. It would have been helpful to have more detailed descriptions on the menu, but our server was happy to answer questions and walk us through everything. We ordered the ma po tofu, braised tofu with vegetables, and vegetable chow fun noodles. My daughter went with the orange chicken and wonton soup. About ten minutes later, the noodles and soup arrived. The bowl of soup was big enough for the entire table, which made my daughter very happy. The noodles were delicious, and shortly after we started eating, the rest of the dishes came out. The braised tofu was loaded with large chunks of bell peppers and flavorful black mushrooms. The ma po tofu came in a vibrant red chili sauce topped with Szechuan peppercorn and brought just the right amount of heat. Everything was absolutely delicious. I am really glad we decided to wait and give this place a try. Jun Dynasty definitely earned a spot in our dinner rotation, and we will be back soon.

Everyone spit theirs out at the first rotten taste. (Gross!) We threw out every piece!! Did not go back for ages. Other times though fresh, again it was the tuna sushi & tuna rolls that were so low quality they were full of thick, un-chewable veins. Pls note some dishes are consistently good. Shrimp dishes have always been okay. As other reviews say, they often skimp on portions. Since they opened, my family has never once! gotten full pints of rice that comes with full dinners. It s alway only 3/4s full. For them trying to save less than 10 cents for a few spoons of rice per portion, we often skip W & Z because of the lousy feeling we are going to be ripped off no matter how much money we spend. One of the worst parts of W &Z is that there is one tall, thin woman, perhaps part of the owners family? that is endless not just without manners, but outrightly aggressive & rude to almost every local person I know who goes there. We are composing this review together in hopes that management reads this & actually tries to improve. They would be shocked at how much money they have lost from my family alone who eats Asia food once a week long before this outfit every arrived.
