As for the restaurant, it's very clean and spacey. I will be back.

How could I not have reviewed China Restaurant in this quaint town of Deming? The restaurant itself…read moreis small and at a corner of the streets in a small, quaint town. It was one of a few options of Chinese/Asian restaurants in town, so there weren't too many options to choose from. So, if you are stucked around town and craved Chinese food, chances are...this restaurant would end up being your pick. The food was ok, a bit on a pricey side. The taste was just fine. From my perspectives, compared to other Chinese places in other larger metros/cities, this place wouldn't stand a chance to compete. But..given it was a place in such a small, very low population town...it served its job of helping tame my craving for Chinese food. Try it if you are stucked in the area/town and this can help you a bit with your Chinese food craving.

I called in an order of beef fried rice, and egg rolls, the guy told me they only come in three so I said ok. The order was over $21, I should have said never mind. I showed up 15 min. Later and there was only one guy cooking and he was also taking orders... the back kitchen was dark, well the whole place was dark, except for the register area. Another guy was waiting for his order, he finished his gave it to him then asked me if I was picking up, I said yes. He took my payment and said, "5 Minutes". I was worried because the place smelled like burnt grease. I trusted it would be ok as I ordered in the past. I returned to my hotel room and my truck smelled like burnt grease and later my room would too. I proceeded to eat my food and I was very disappointed, I couldn't finish it! The rice was like wild rice, had that burnt taste, no eggs or veggies and a few slices of beef which didn't have much taste to it other than grease. It was after 7pm and they were closed so I couldn't return it, I called and he answered again and proceeded to say "takeout order?" After I tried to explain to him my dissatisfaction and the quality. I felt as if he was just not wanting to accept responsibility for just throwing out a crappy meal at the close of business. The egg rolls were hard, burnt and plain right out nasty! Like they were cooked earlier that day and just reheated by throwing them into unclean grease! Never again, I travel through Deming quite a bit and this has become a bad experience for me!

VERY happy, and pleasantly surprised by how much! I had reasonable hopes from the previous reviews,…read moreand would have been satisfied with "pretty decent", but that sells Linh's far too short. We got combo fried rice and lemongrass lo mein, both of which came with a little spring roll. The spring rolls were pleasantly crispy, a good balance of filling and wrapper, and both the rolls and the fried rice were almost Japanese in the seasoning: just enough salt and aromatics to bring out the flavors. Subtle, and delicious! (If you like American-style fried rice, add some soy sauce!) On the other hand, the lemongrass lo mein... WOW! It was nicely spicy, not too much for SE Asian style, and the lemongrass/chili flavor just exploded in my mouth. The noodles were cooked as perfectly as I've ever had. Decent amounts of well-cooked proteins, might have liked a touch more vegetables, but this was 9/10 food from a trailer parked by a bowling alley. Gotta love it!
