Their two delivery guys were 10 minutes early. i've had dozens of appliances delivered from other places. Nothing was more pleasurable than dealing with JT and Jaden. They were the best delivery guys I ever dealt with and I am 70 years old. We are so pleased with our purchase and we saved so much money with their new scratch/dent appliances. I couldn't even tell where the scratch or dent was. What a place. I love supporting the small business store too in lieu of the big box stores who do not care and are overpriced. Do not hesitate to visit their store. You'll agree 100% with me. I guarantee it. We purchased a refrigerator and washing machine. Couldn't be more pleased with our purchase.

We purchased a matching Maytag set and brought it back to Pittsburgh ourselves. We had issues with the dryer, not sure why or what caused it, but Beck's took the dryer back with no issues. We came home the same day with a GE dryer. That was 4-5 years ago. The washer and dryer are still working perfectly. The funny thing is that the Maytag Bravos is rated as one of the least reliable washers ever made, but Beck's must have solved whatever problems it had because we torture that poor thing and it just keeps on washing. The dryer (gas) has also not had a single issue. So don't worry about buying used from Becks...it might be better than new!

Thank you Sprowls for listening to your customer and having/selling/stocking appliances that…read moreactually work like they should. I called Sprowls and explained that I had bought a brand new top of the line energy efficient Maytag washer at a different store. After having it for a year, and being completely frustrated the whole time, I finally had to beat it to death with my bare hands. Since it was energy and water efficient, it didn't fill with enough water to actually clean the clothes, wouldn't agitate properly like a washer should, and was just in general and all around piece of crap. The salesman understood and recommended a Speed Queen old school washer. Unlike many other stores, Sprowls actually had one in stock so I didn't have to order it and wait. I bought it, picked it up, and was able to use it the very same day. And, I am very happy with my purchase. The machine works perfectly and does the job that a washing machine is supposed to do. It fills to a level that I can control, has an agitator that actually cleans the clothes and has enough power to do a full load. I would highly recommend both the store and the machine.

They went back to the store and brought an electric one that was in stock. Can't beat that for service and their prices are competitive with the box stores.

I was referred to Simple Appliance Repair by the manufacturer of my out-of-warranty…read moremicrowave/convection oven which had a non-functioning turntable motor. Gus initially seemed nice, and competent. He came and diagnosed a faulty turntable motor (as I expected). He told me the part was hard to get, but he found one. I agreed to the repair. He installed the new motor, which was not OEM, a week or so later. I quickly realized it did not work properly and notified him. He promised to get a new motor. This was in November. He then failed to contact me and keep me updated. I had to keep asking--repeatedly. Eventually, on March 2, he told me the motor was in. I asked him when he would install it--and he never replied. I asked again--and he never replied. It is now April 7 and I have not heard from him at all. Repeated calls and texts have gone unanswered. I believe he has blocked my number. It is NOT okay that he is ghosting a customer who paid him over $400! He has VERY POOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I emphatically DO NOT RECOMMEND him. Alas, five months on, I am still left with a broken appliance, am out over $400 for a failed repair, and have little or no recourse to recoup my losses. I also see here that there are four other reviews and two very closely match my experience. 50% is not good. I guess I should have checked here first! Also, please note: "Simple Appliance Repair" is NOT a company with multiple employees and accountability. This is ONE GUY, Gus. If you call his phone number, he may answer, or you may get a sophisticated AI-generated answering service that creates the false impression of a larger organization. It is no such thing. Beware!

An Absolute Kitchen Renovation Nightmare with Lowe's - 6 Months and Still Unfinished!…read moreOur kitchen renovation project with Lowe's commenced on June 28, 2025, and what was promised as an exciting upgrade has turned into an unmitigated disaster and a six-month-long nightmare. It is now December 15, 2025, and our kitchen is still a non-functional construction zone. The level of incompetence, inaction, and sheer disregard from Lowe's staff--from the local store management to their corporate "Executive Customer Relations" team --has been appalling. We are a couple over 60, and a proud veteran family, who invested our hard-earned savings into this project. We have been met with nothing but disrespect and neglect. Here are the shocking lowlights of our ongoing ordeal: * Continuous Failures: The current date is December 15, 2025. The refrigerator cabinet panel was delivered for the FOURTH time, and it is still the wrong size. We still have NO countertop six months in. * Broken Promises & Financial Strain: We are still awaiting multiple promised reimbursements and credits totaling over $5,000 for a botched electrical installation, restocking fees, and price adjustments. Lowe's has repeatedly promised these in writing (emails dating back to August and September 2025) but failed to deliver. * Unresolved Issues Galore: Our kitchen is a laundry list of errors: damaged cabinets, misaligned doors, huge gaps in crown molding, appliance interference (dishwasher handle hits a cabinet door, preventing a drawer from opening), and missing parts (range vent filter). * Zero Accountability: We have sent dozens of emails and made numerous phone calls documenting every issue. Every time we think we've reached someone who can help (like the corporate team), we hit another wall of inaction. We were actually told Lowe's didn't want to pay for an installer to come out and fix a simple issue, so we had to wait months. We have been forced to live without a functional kitchen since August. This experience has caused our family immense stress and financial strain. Warning: Save yourself the hardship. Do not trust Lowe's with your home renovation project. Their project management is non-existent, and their customer service is a failure at every level.

Why do you always put rude people in your paint department? This is the second time I experienced…read morerude service from staff in the paint department. I stopped in last night for a gallon of paint and simply asked for a recommendation. The guy working told me that all paint was the same, and if I wasn't getting good results, I must be applying it wrong and using the wrong roller. If all paint is created equal then why is there such a vast price difference amongst different brands? He then proceeded to disagree with me when I told him the last time I bought a specific one coat paint it did not cover in one coat and he claimed that no one else has ever had that problem. I walked straight out of the store, went directly to Home Depot. Last summer, I had a similar experience with a woman working in the paint department who was dismissive and rude to me when I asked about Minwax wood stain. Another instance last summer, I was looking to replace all the windows in my house and was in this store looking at options. There was a young guy working in that department, and when I told him I wanted windows that tilted in for easy cleaning, he literally laughed at me and said "Don't all windows tilt in?" Guess where I didn't buy my new window from? The majority of your employees are very kind and helpful but you need to do a better job of weeding out these employees who talk down to your customers and send them directly to your competition.
